"I adore you" 12 x 12 scrapbook layout //Altenew Stamps & Dies

Hi crafty friends...it's Tuesday...which means it's  Heather here with another project to share  of my sweet little lady on Easter. I have been playing with the "Adore You" and "Beautiful Day" stamp sets from Altenew for some time now and I love these flowers!  It is also helpful to have the matching dies especially when stamping and cutting a field full of flowers.  These images aren't too difficult to fussy cut, but I am not a fan!   You can find the "Adore You" stamps and matching dies in a set in the store...and if you prefer a different look, there are so many Altenew stamps available in the shop that can also be used to create this look. In order to create this rainbow of flowers, I started with watercolor paper and  distress inks from Tim Holtz and got to smooshing.  If you haven't seen this done before, I "smoosh" the ink pads on my craft mat, spray some water, then run the watercolor paper through the ink.  I ...

Geometric Smile

Hey guys! I am really excited to share today's card with you all! I love the geometric clean and simple design. Check it out- I used the Simple Shapes XL stamp set from Altenew, specifically the largest triangle, to layer up some Distress Inks (12 total) to create a colorful background. I started with the triangle in the corner of the cardstock in the corner of my stamping tool. After getting a solid impression with one color I moved the cardstock panel up and to the left about 3/8 of an inch. I repeated this step twice for each corner, choosing a darker color of ink for each step. For the sentiment, I grabbed a scripty smile from MFT's Double the Smiles dynamics. I cut it from some fun foam and a piece of glossy white cardstock. Using Glossy Accents I adhered them together and then to the card base. Thanks for stopping by and I hope I inspired you to create a geometric pattern using some stamps or just to smile :)

Beary Happy Birthday!!

Hi everyone, It's Jenny here with a cute Birthday card to share using the amazingly cute and cuddly Brutus Monroe Birthday Bears . To create the card, I stamped the Bear with the balloons in Versafine Onyx Black ink onto some smooth Bristol cardstock.  I then colored him in with some waterbased markers (Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers). I wanted to do some ink blending over the top but he was too fiddly to fussy cut a mask for, so I used some Rubber Cement and just painted it straight over the top.   Once dry (just a few minutes), I blended Distress Ink in Picked Raspberry and Squeezed Lemonade top to bottom.  A few sprinkles of water and boom! awesome background :)  To remove the rubber cement, just gentle rub with your finger and it rolls right off. I die cut the piece out with a stitched frame die, and then for a bit of fun, I decided to emboss a die by My Favorite Things ( Peekaboo Jumbo Circle ) using my big shot, a Texture pad and a silico...
