"Me & You" scrapbook layout // Doodlebug Designs Hello Collection

Hi crafty friends! I hope you are having a great week and had time to play with some paper today!  Heather here to share another project with you using the Hello collection from Doodlebug Designs.   After three layouts, I have so much product left for probably another few layouts!  This layout is of my daughter and husband out on a "daddy-daughter date"...so sweet! This layout came together so much quicker than normal , but it was easy when I had all of these adorable speech bubbles from the Hello Collection chit chat package.  I couldn't narrow down the ones I wanted to use because they all had such cute messages...so I add them all! I started with a 12 x 12 piece of black cardstock and started laying down the speech bubbles I wanted to use.. .spacing them out like a puzzle.  I have been reaching for a lot of black cardstock lately because I love the way the bright colors look against the dark background...Once I had them placed ...

zamboni drivers layout

Hello and happy start to the weekend! Samantha here, and I'm sharing a cute little layout inspired by a pin I found on Pinterest ! :) So FUN! I love the fun color combination: hello mint, fuchsia and navy!! GOOOOORGEOUS! Ok, so let's get to it: I started by painting some strokes of color on the background. Once that was dry, I used some white embossing paste and the super fun stencil from My Favorite Things ! I added some layers behind the photo with scraps from my various 6x6 paper pads and some tissue paper! I embellished around the photo cluster with some Amy Tangerine Stitched Puffy Stickers , Simple Stories Phrase Stickers and Create a Smile Enamel Shapes ! I used a combination of Webster's Pages Tiny Type and an oooooooold set of Thickers! This is a classic photo of my little Menn watching wistfully as the zamboni cleans the ice! I love that they still love the idea of the zamboni. I'm afraid of the day when they care less! Ack! Don't l...

Guest Designer Sunday with Megan Hoeppner

Hello again, and happy Easter Sunday to everyone! Today is our final post with our AMAZING and gracious March Guest - Megan Hoeppner !!  ___________________________________________ Top o’ the weekend to ya! How was your St. Patrick’s Day? Do anything fun to celebrate? This was my youngest’s first, which made it a little extra special around here. We enjoyed time with friends, a visit from The Leprechaun, and some green and rainbow themed food. But, more than anything, all of the talk of good luck and time with those I love only further reminded me that I’m far more than lucky—I’m blessed! That’s the feeling I wanted to capture on this page, while also emphasizing that it was Lulu’s first March 17th. To begin, knew I wanted to create a large shamrock, so I cut my patterned paper leaves.  Originally, I was going to do more of a rainbow design, but my in-home consultant (my hubby) couldn’t tell it was a shamrock, so it was back to the drawing board I went v...

Our Tribe

Hello there! Amanda back today to share a layout I created based off of this month's mood board. Have you had the chance to play with this yet? I just love these colors together! I have found that even when my inspiration is softer colors I tend to go with more of a pure saturated color. I tried to keep the balance here but that yellow just wanted to be bold! ;-) I used a mix of several lines from the shop and just had fun creating the flow of this layout. I really love the pops of watermelon. Supplies Used: Crate Paper Journey Ephemera , #Happy Word Stickers , #Happy Tags & Prompts stickers , Life's Sweet Round Stickers , Banner Love Puffy Stickers , Life's Sweet Badges , Creative Agenda Enamel Shapes , True Stories Wood Buttons , Craft Market 6x6 Paper Pad , Summer Vibes Photo Stickers , Distress Marker Cracked Pistachio , Waterbrush Detailer , Styleboard Charcoal Thickers Thanks so much for looking today! I will be back with a new mood board i...

A Little Summer on your Monday

Hello! Samantha here, hoping to start your Monday off with some fun and inspiration! :) I created a fun summer layout of my little Mann at the beach last year! So ok, there's a little mixed media thrown in there...I do usually use it, but I would say my style is more 'mixed media lite'! Ha! I used a fun houndstooth My Favorite Things stencil and some embossing paste to add texture to the background! Once that was dry, I layered the photo over a folded up glycine bag, and then added that AWESOME quote by Van Morrison! I found it on Pinterest (of course...ha!), and wrote it out with a mix of Webster's Pages Tiny Alphas and those gorgeous gold Thickers ! I embellished with some bits from Amy Tangerine , Evalicious (I'm looking at you Distress Painted wood veneer and flair!), and Bo Bunny ! I added some stitching and stamping with Lawn Fawn stamps to finish it off! I used Hello Sunshine and Life is Good in black ink! Hope this layout brou...

DIY Home Decor

Happy Tuesday lovelies, Danielle here!  I hope you have had a great weekend and are ready to be inspired.  Today I have for you a DIY Home Decor Piece.  Vanessa sent me some of the Dina Wakley Medium Paint with my last DT package.  So I have been dying to play with it and had the perfect idea.  These thin canvases have been laying around my scrap room for a while.  I decide it is the perfect time to use one of these bad boys.   I started off priming the canvas with Gesso.  Then I mixed some Distress Ink with Matte Embossing Paste to create sand.   Next I mixed the Dina Wakley Paint with Extra Thick Glossy Embossing Paste to create the background.  The Paint is so smooth and creamy!!   For the Flamingos I cut them out of the Websters Pages paper from some dies I had laying around. They came out adorable!!!  I used a marker for their eye and mouth.  I added some glittery embossing powder to the sand and me...
