Have a Magical Birthday!

Hi everyone!  I'm sharing this May mood board inspired card featuring stamps from Hello Blue Bird Stamps.  The deep blue sky is paired with a teal background with stenciling to create a magical scene!   To start, I used the slimline dies from Trinity stamps to cut the background panel from Bristol smooth cardstock.   Distress oxide inks in black soot , chipped sapphire and peacock feathers used to create the sky.   Tropical background stencil added to the bottom of card to add interest.  The panel was splattered with liquid stardust , white paint and water to create the night sky. Images from fairy garden stamped using Versafine Clair ink in nocturne on Bristol cardstock.  The images were colored using zig clean color brush markers.  White gel pen added for details. Images were cut using coordinating dies and adhered to the background.   Magical die cut from white cardstock three times and stacked to create a 3D sentiment.   Iridescent star added to

Strawberry Jam Picnic Card with Christy

Hello friends! It's Christy here with a sweet card featuring a friendly picnic in a strawberry patch. Doesn't it look like they're having the best day? I wish I could join them. I used the adorable  Hello Bluebird Strawberry Jam  set and colored my images with Copic Markers , then trimmed them out with the matching dies. For the focal panel, I used the Lawn Fawn Stitched Scalloped Rectangle Frames and die cut it out of white cardstock . I set aside the frame and used the center piece to do a simple Copic colored background that even a beginner could do! It really was so easy!  The Carta Bella Summer Market 6x6 pad had this gorgeous strawberry pattern that was just meant to live on this card, so I trimmed that down with the Lawn Fawn Outside In Stitched Rectangle Stackables and adhered it to my card base. Then I glued down my colored background and popped the frame up with Scotch 3M foam tape .  I trailed my strawberry vines up the frame then added my

BRI Moodboard & Waving Hello with Davina

Hello Crafty Friends! Davina here sharing some pre-summer fun using the gorgeous May BRI Moodboard. I created this fun ocean/ beach card using a ton of summer Lawn Fawn sets. The colors for this months Moodboard are Peachy Pink, Mango, Turquoise, and Indigo Blue. I felt they were perfect for this undersea scene. I flipped through my stamp sets and pulled out all of the beach related stamps. Then I settled on a few for the main images. I gathered  Manatee-rific  and  Smooth Sailing  for the large images, and  Mermaid For You ,  You are Sublime ,  Year Six Little Shellfish , and the palms from Ahoy, Matey. I stamped many of the images out using my stamp platform, and colored them up with copic markers in the colors that coordinated with the color board. I always feel like I struggle with the smaller scenes in framed cards. But I love them so much when I see them by other cardmakers. So I challenged myself to use the  Four Square Backdrop Die  from Lawn Fawn, that I have owned and

Spring Coffee Lover's Blog Hop

I'm so happy having a chance to be still here with you today sharing a coffee themed card I made using different stamp sets by one of my favorite brand: The Greeting Farm. I started stamping images from "Frappe-y-Anya FB" and "Coffee Anya FB" stamp sets with Raven hybrid ink by LDRS , I colored them with alcohol markers and I fussy cut them. I then die cut a stitched 5 1/2" x 4 1/4" rectangle from white cardstock, I created my own pattern stamping several time coffee cups and sentiment from "Miss Anya Coffee Break" stamp set with Lawn Fawn Manatee ink and I blended borders with picked raspberry Distress Oxide ink (I also splattered it a bit on it). I die cut "HELLO COFFEE" with Heffy Doodle "Stitched Alphabetters" die set three times from L

Let the Good Times Roll with Davina

Hello Crafty Friends, Davina here on the blog, with some May Mood Board fun to share. As Spring temperatures warm up into Summer heat, the colors of the monthly mood boards are starting to heat up too! The colors this month are trendy and boho glam. I just adore this combination of Peachy Rose, Mango, Turquoise, and Indigo Blue. I had so many ideas during the brainstorming for this color challenge. I thought I’d take it simple and show how just changing the traditional colors of a scene can really shake it up! I used a recently released stamp set that I illustrated for Trinity Stamps, called  Let the Good Times Roll  and the coordinating dies, to create this card. Instead of using traditional bright primary rainbow colors, I used colors inspired by the May Mood Board, and it resulted in a “grown up” more mature version of a card I would feel confident to give to any young adult. I started but cutting 3 stitched layers of white Bristol smooth cardstock using the second from th
