Coffee Cuties Card

Hello there!  Audrey here with my last post as guest designer for the month of December!  For my card today, I pulled out some adorable coffee themed products from Sugar Pea Designs!  To create this card, I started out with a piece of Kraft cardstock cut to 4" x 5.25".  I diecut all of the pieces from the Coffee Cuties die se t out of various colors of cardstock, then added depth with Distress Oxide and some white gel pen accents.  I placed the coffee cuts about where I wanted them and used the Trinity Stamps Seasonal Winds stencil to add some steam coming from the cups, splattered the panel with Vintage Photo Distress Ink, then popped the cups up with foam tape.  The sentiment is a combination of a stamped sentiment from the Brew-tiful Sentiments stamp set and diecut word from the Whole Latte Words die set .  Under the cups, I added some coffee beans using the Cool Beans stencil and a tiny coffee bean stamp from the Brew-tiful Sentiments stamp set...

Fall is My Favorite Next to You!

Hello everyone, welcome! Leeds here, how are you all doing? Fall is finally here and today I'm sharing a cute fall card. Here are the steps:  Step 1: Stamp all the images from Sugar Pea Designs Hey Fall using Memento Black Ink Pad . Step 2: Color each image using Copic Markers. I also added a few highlights using white gel pen. Step 3: Cut a 3 3/4' x 9" white cardstock and create the background using Distress Oxide Picked Raspberry , Worn Lipstick , and Squeezed Lemonade .  Step 4: Cut a white cardstock using grass die cut and ink blended Distress Oxide Twisted Citron and Mowed Lawn. Step 5: Splatter the background using gold shimmery watercolors, Distress Oxide Candied Apple and water.  Step 6: Stamp the sentiments using Memento Rich Cocoa Ink Pad. Step 7: Assemble the card using glue and foam tape. Step 8: Attach the card onto orange card stock. Thank you so much for checking out this post! Have a lovely day!

Sweet As Pie

Hi readers!  This is Crystal here today sharing a yummy Thanksgiving card using the new "Sweet as Pie" stamp set by SugarPea Designs.   This stamp set has my name written all over it.  "Sweet" and "pie" in the same sentence?  Yes, please!  It's no secret that I L-O-V-E-sweets and with Thanksgiving coming up next week, I'm thinking all things pumpkin and apple right now using this set.  The base of this A2 sized card is made from Kraft cardstock.  I cut a 5 1/4" x 4" piece of plaid paper similar to that of the Echo Park My Favorite Fall paper pack and adhered this to the card base. Using the Hello Bluebird Gallery Frame #2 die , I cut the frame from orange cardstock. I lined the back of the frame with a piece of Neenah Solar White Smooth cardstock.   I stamped the sentiment "You're as sweet as pie" in a brown ink directly onto the white base lining.  Next, I stamped the images from the "Sweet as Pie...

Conquering Your Creative Fears

Hello friends!  Cheers to Wednesday, you've made it halfway through the week!  This is Crystal here today and I'm sharing a bit about conquering my creative fears.  Would you believe that I own ALL the Tim Holtz Distress Oxide inks , but am too afraid to use them!?  It's true!  I see the beautiful backgrounds and unique watercolor designs that other artists create with these water reactive inks, but when I try to do it, the end result looks like I let an unattended 5-year-old loose in my craft room!  I struggle with uniform blending, too much/too little water and the root of all evil - comparison.  Theodore Roosevelt said, " Comparison is the thief of joy " and I remind myself of this every time I'm scrolling Instagram and Pinterest.  Today, I'm here to conquer one of my own creative fears and hopefully I can encourage you to do the same! Today's card uses the new Fall Fox stamp set by Sugar Pea Designs.  This is a "slimline" card t...
