Butterfly Reflections, Ink

Hello, crafty friends!  I'm delighted to be back on the Butterfly Reflections Ink blog again!  Today I have a cute, dog-themed box card to share with you. How cute are those doggies?!  They're from Heffy Doodle's Who Let The Dogs Out set.  I stamped them with Ink On 3's Blackout Ink and colored them with Copics.  After cutting them out, I added Glossy Accents to their snouts (Don't all dogs have wet noses?). I die-cut white cardstock with Lawn Fawn's Scalloped Box Card Pop-Up Die to create my cardbase.  To help build the scene, I die-cut trees and grass with Lawn Fawn's Shadow Box Card Park Add-On Dies .   I inked up the tree canopies with Mowed Lawn and Lucky Clover Distress Oxides.  For the grass I used those along with  Twisted Citron .  Before assembling the card, I blended the back panel with Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide . After assembling the box card with double-sided tape , I adhered my colored images with liquid adhesive .  To decorate the box

Hey everyone, it's Julianne here and I'm back today sharing how I created this rainbow cupcake slimline card featuring products from  My Favorite Things . I can't get enough of these adorable cake and cupcake images from the  All the Cupcakes  stamp set, they are just adorable illustrations.  I started out by using the Slimline Card Series: Stitched Card Panels and Windows die set   to die cut some Xpress It Blending cardstock so that I could stamp all the cupcake images in the All the Cupcakes stamp set to create my cupcake background. I stamped all my images using some Memento Tuxedo Black Ink so I could do some copic coloring today.  Once I had all my stamping and coloring done, I used the same die set to die cut some black color cardstock but I used the larger die so that way I would have a nice border around my card. I adhered them together using liquid adhesive. Now for my rainbow background, I used the Birthday Bright Paper Pad and used two sheets of the rainbow str

 Hi there!!!! I'm so happy to be back once again on the Butterfly Reflections Ink blog. Today's card is a sea themed one featuring  a bunch of Lawn Fawn goodies. I first die cut a stitched 4,25" x 5,5" rectangle from white card stock and I ink blended it with tumbled glass and broken china Distress Oxide inks. I then die cut two stitched waves and one hill side borders and I ink blended the first two with mermaid lagoon and salty ocean Distress Oxide inks and for the third border I used antique linen , vintage photo and walnut stain Distress Oxide inks. I also die cut a palm tree using Lawn Fawn "Tropical Backdrop" dies.  I stamped images from "Ocean Shell-fie" stamp set with black ink, I colored them with alcohol markers and I fussy cut them (you can use coordinating dies if you prefer).  For my sentiment, I die cut three times the "Hello" scripty die from white card stock, I glued them together and I blended it with speckled e

Hello friends! This is  Crystal Komara  here with you today reminiscing about my childhood days  spent in tap, jazz and ballet.  Oh, yes, the words of " The Good Ship Lollipop " are stuck in my head.   F-O-R-E-V-E-R!  When I first saw the new  Room Builder Slimline Series die from Trinity Stamps  I envisioned making a dance studio from that wooden floor.  I love being able to combine products from different companies, like the  Tiny Dancers stamp set from Sunny Studios  to help achieve the look I was hoping for!   This slimline line card measures 8 1/2" x 3 1/2". Slimline cards are designed to fit inside a regular #10 business sized envelope and require no additional postage.  The base of this card is made from Neenah Solar Smooth white cardstock.  I matted the base of the card with a 8 1/4" x 3 1/4" piece of magenta pink cardstock.   Using the Trinity Stamps Room Builder Slimline Series dies , I cut the floor from kraft cardstock and adhered it directly t

Hey everyone! Kelli here sharing this super cute Halloween card using Lawn Fawn products! To create this card, I used Lawn Fawn's Woodland Critter Huggers Dies, Woodland Critter Huggers Bat Add-on Die, and Tiny Gift Box Bat Add-on Die. For the background, I ink blended Distress Inks in Seedless Preserves, Dusty Concord, and Black Soot. I used Lawn Fawn's Starry Sky stencil with embossing paste and glitter. I love the way this turned out and I hope you do too!

Hi Friends! It is Dana here today and I am excited to be back sharing a fun birthday card with you all. I used this month's Mood Board for my inspiration. Have you had a chance to play along? The colors are so fun! I started my card by creating my card panel. I used the Pretty Pink Pink Posh Stitched Strips Die Set to die cut a bunch of strips in a variety of colors. I used the mood board as my inspiration and to help me pick  my colors. Next, I stamped the row of succulents from the Lawn Fawn Simply Celebrate Summer Stamp Se t. I colored them with Copic markers and used the coordinating die set to cut them out. I also added a few white highlights with a white gel pen . To finish my card, I used the Simply Sentiments Stamp Set to stamp my sentiment. This is such a great basic set of sentiments to have on hand, I love the font and they work perfectly with all of your favorite Lawn Fawn sets. Lastly, I attached my succulents to my card panel with foam adhesive .  I hope you get a

  Hi Friends!  I've got a super fun mood board inspired Halloween card.  I concentraed the colors around the cauldron to create a fun and eerie scene!   To start, I cut an A2 piece of white cardstock using the largest die from the large cross-stitched rectangle stackables die.  Next, I pulled out my distress inks in the following colors: weathered wood , twisted citron , salty ocean, blueprint sketch and wilted violet (I used the inks not oxides but I'm linking the oxides- either would work fine).  Using the hillside stencil , I ink blended a wavy background in an upside down triangular pattern to resemble smoke.  The background was then splatted with liquid stardust .  Stars were stamped in black ink using the tiny stars included in spooktacular stamp set. To create the cauldron, I used I scream, you scream set .  The base of the cauldron was cut using the ice cream cone (upside down) and cut from glossy black cardstock.   Cilantro cardstock cut using the same die (the d

 Hello friends! Today's card was a reminder to myself, that while so many things seem wrong in the world, there are still lots of little things in life to be happy about. Step One:   To create this scene, I started by stamping out the images I wanted to use in Memento Tuxedo Black ink. Then, I colored the images and cut them out.   Stamp Sets Used: Hey Lady Gnome Sweet Gnome Gleeful Gardens Toadally Awesome You Are Sublime Mermaid For You Wild For You Oh Gnome Step Two:   Cut out the pieces for the background, middle-ground, and foreground using Lawn Fawn Cuts Scalloped Rectangle Stackables, Meadow Borders , and Puffy Cloud Borders . Step Three:   Ink each layer of the scene. For the sky, I used Distress Ink Spiced Marmalade , Fossilized Amber , and Mustard Seed . For the grass, I used Distress Ink Peeled Paint , Distress Oxide Mowed Lawn , and Twisted Citron . For the dirt, I used Walnut Stain and Vintage Photo . I also water splatted the background, using W

 Hey there!  Good to be back with ya! Today I am sharing my favorite card canvas as of late.  The slim line card.  They are super addicting. I think mainly because you can build all sorts of fun scenes with them and stretch your creativity, literally. Here is a fun card that I made utilizing all that extra space: Here are the directions to make this card. Make card base from cardstock of your choice.  The slim line card measures 8 1/2 x 3 1/2. Cut out a frame for the card using the Mama Elephant Slim Card Basics Die and adhere it to the card base.  Stamp all images from the Heffy Doodle A Little Shellfish  and You Go, Gull stamp sets, color with copic marker highlighting with a white gel pen.  Using the A Little Shellfish and You Go, Gull  coordinating dies, cut out the images.  To make the scene, take the smaller frame that you cut out earlier and make the sky by blending Tumbled Glass Oxide ink on the top of the frame making the sky.  Using a die like the Lawn Fawn Stitched Hillside

 Hello everyone! It's Ashley back with a guest post for Butterfly Reflections Ink! Have you seen the August mood board yet? It is gorgeous! I've been planning a card with some Lawn Fawn fairies for a while, and I thought this mood board would be the perfect magical nighttime color palette! I started this card by blending Distress Oxides in Dusty Concord , Faded Jeans , and Peacock Feathers onto white cardstock then splattered with a bit of white acrylic paint. On a separate piece of white cardstock, I blended Twisted Citron and Peacock Feathers Distress Oxides and cut with the Lawn Fawn Grassy Border die. I added the grass to my sky background and die cut the whole piece with the largest Lawn Fawn Stitched Rectangle to add the stitched border. I stamped several images from different Lawn Fawn sets with Pinkfresh Studio Detail Black ink and colored with Copics . Hello crafty folks!   It's Jenny here again - excited to be joining you over here on the BRI blog!   Today I have soft floral project to share with you with plenty of stamping, heat embossing and Copic coloring.     To create my card, I first inked up the Pinkfresh Studio Lush Vines background stamp with Hot Tub ink by Catherine Pooler Designs and stamped it on a panel of Neenah Solar White 80lb cardstock.  I also die cut the PFS Pretty Frames 2 die from the same cardstock, chose one of the die cuts and coated it with Hot Tub then adhered it to my stamped background with Art Glitter glue (my favorite glue ever!) My floral frame is the Pinkfresh Studio Take Pride stamp set, which I first stamped on X-Press It white cardstock using Gina K Warm Glow amalgam ink, which is Copic safe.  I planned to heat emboss the image but first I wanted to color it with my Copics and they don't mix well with heat. embossing.   Hi friends!   I'm sharing this cute slimline card using inspiration from the August mood board.  The colors for this card are on the softer side but I love the way they blended to create a snowy sky. To start, I cut a panel using the Trinity stamps slimline die.  Next, I used a large ink blending brush and the following inks: grape crush , something borrowed , melon ice to create a background sky.  The background was splatted with white acrylic paint.   Next, I stamped images from me and my yeti and little sloth agenda using brown hybrid ink.  The images were colored using the following copics: N0, N1 for yeti fur, E0000 for the faces and R20 and RV00 for the cheeks.  Images were then cut using the coordinating die sets.  For the background elements, I used the stitched mountain die to cut out the mountains.   Pixie dust cardstock added to the snow caps for sparkle.   Forest border die cut from white cardstock and glued to the front of the card.  Foam tape used on the back
