Butterfly Reflections, Ink

"You Mermaid to be Awesome" I love that sentiment and the lovely mermaids from the  Sunny Studio Stamps Magical Mermaids  . This card is very special because is for a #1 Mermaid fan... my sweet  daughter Leah! I hope you like it as much as she did... For this card I did a very cool technique I learned on Youtube. I started with a card base from Desert Storm cardstock, I cut it in 7.5 and 4.25 inches.  With a score board I score every half inch along the card horizontally, I flip the card over and start swiping  different browns of   Distress ink  along the card base... it is  amazing the look you get... It looks just like wood. I measure and die cut the  Circle Dies  starting from the middle circle and glue  Acetate  to the back of the circles to give the feel of a window. Hello there! Amanda here today to share this month's mood board! I had a bit of a nautical inspiration for colors this month, playing on navy and red, but I mixed it up a bit with a Deep Coral instead of true red and adding in Glacier Blue. We just got back from an Alaskan cruise and had the BEST time. I can't wait to get some layouts done using these colors with my vacation pics! Happy HUMP Day!!!!  Danielle here with a Masculine Birthday Card.  If your like me you are in need of more masculine cards for your stash. For this card I decide to make my own background using Paper Smooches - Wicked Nauticool stamp set.  This is a great set for the guys in your life!!!   I stamped using the following inks, Hero Arts - Mid Tone Navy , Delicata Golden Glitz  Ink ,  and a few other Hero Arts colors.  The card still need a bit of color behind the hand made background paper to make it POP!  I dug out my Carta Bella - Ahoy There Paper pad....I just love this collection!  To add my Happy Birthday Sentiment, I chose the Avery Elle stamp set .  I just love the large greetings in this set to me the focal point of any card.  I just stamped it on a piece of vellum from my stash and sewed it on for some extra texture.
