BOO

Morning crafty friends, it's Julianne here bringing you a super not so scary BOO card just in time for Halloween. Since Halloween is my favorite holiday I had to make sure to create a card to celebrate. I love the Mama Elephant Little Boo Agenda Stamp Set , all the ghosts are beyond cute. Mama Elephant offers a bunch of agenda sets if you want to check them out, they offer a bunch for multiple occasions. I started out by drawing the word boo on some white card stock very lightly so that I could have an outline of where I wanted my images to go. I tried to use all the ghosts that came in the set when laying them out. Before stamping make sure to erase your pencil marks, once you add ink and/or start coloring you won't be able to erase them. Once I had stamped all the ghosts I used the two candy pieces that also come in the stamp set to stamp in between the ghost images. I colored in all the images using my copic markers, to make the BOO really stand out I also outline

Hello Pumpkin with Waffle Flowers Crafts

Hey there crafty friends, Davina here on the Butterfly Reflections Ink blog to share a post with you that I should have shared the other day, but I’ve been half dead and unable to preform my duties, not really half dead, but I sure felt that way. I made a wonderful fall themed center picture window card using the October Moodboard colors and the adorable mouse set from Waffle Flower Crafts called  Hello Pumpkin  which is on clearance right now on the  Butterfly Reflection Ink website . I also used the incredible die set from Lawn Fawn called  Center Picture Window  and the add on set to create the foundation for this card. I cut the cardbase and the window from from the textured green cardstock that I had a few strips of i in my scrap bin, then I selected a piece of  Lawn Fawn  Fall Fling  patterned paper that coordinates wonderfully with the current color Mood Board. I cut a piece to fit inside the card and trimmed it up a bit so that when it is folded and adhered, it would fit th

Halloween Haul

Hello and happy Monday everyone! Today I'm sharing my last Halloween card for the Butterfly Reflections Ink blog. In just a few days Halloween will be over and Christmas time will commence. Before jumping into the new holiday, I wanted to capture that feeling I got as a kid at the end of Halloween night. After spending the evening walking around neighborhoods collecting treats, my brother and I would go home and get our candy checked. Before even changing out of our costumes, we would pour all of our candy out on the living room floor to sort it and make negotiations. I think with this card, I captured that feeling perfectly! To start my scene, I stamped the images out from sets Year Seven , Screen Time , Booyah , and Costume Party . The images were stamped using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink , along with the sentiment. With Lawn Cut Stitched Rectangle Stackables, I cut out the largest rectangle for the background. Using Distress Ink Pumice Stone and my blending tool , I inked the

(17) different looks for (1) background die - Card tutorial by Heather King

Hey crafty friends!  It's Heather here filling in on this fabulous Sunday...why is it fabulous..? Because tomorrow is my birthday which was the inspiration for this post!   I started thinking of my 38 years and all of the beautiful moments as well as the things that make my soul happy...(yes, one of them is crafting..any kind of crafting of course).  This led me on a path down crafty memory lane...all of the things I have learned over the years, including happy mistakes, the joy I get by creating something new, and lastly, all of the different personal looks I've had in my lifetime so far... So, I got to thinking....with one background die, how many looks can I create with this one die..?   Now, let me start with a disclaimer...most who know me know that I am a crafter of all kinds, but my passion is scrapbooking!  However, I love making my own cards and who wants to spend money on them when I can make it myself, am I right??! That said, I did not invent these

Warm Winter Fuzzies

Hi, Crafty Friends! This is Tiffany and today I'm sharing a card using Hello Bluebird, Mama Elephant, and Lawn Fawn products that can be purchased in the Butterfly Reflections, Ink. online store. I used Hello Bluebird's Gallery Frame Die #2 to cut a piece of Jolly Holly paper from Pebble's Merry Little Christmas paper pad, I also used the Gallery Die to cut a piece of white card stock. I used Lawn Fawn's Snowfall Backdrop  and Simple Stitched Hillside Borders to create a snowy scene. I used a light blue ink and a touch of dark blue ink to create a light blended background for the images and sentiment, I then splattered white iridescent paint on both. I stamped the images and sentiment from Mama Elephant's Snow Friends stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I cut out the images and colored them with Copic markers. I added Star Dust Stickles to the hats, glove, and base of the snow bear and snow kitties. I assembled the card using Tombo liquid glue and foa

Harvest Happiness

Hello crafty friends!  This is Crystal here today to inspire you to begin thinking about Thanksgiving (if you haven't already).   I know that next week is Halloween, but soon enough, turkey day will be here, and it's my all-time favorite holiday to spend with "framily" (that's friends and family for those of you who haven't heard this fun term)!  Some also call is "Friendsgiving."  I have a lot to be thankful for and I count my blessings on this day filled with my four favorite "F" words - family, friends, football and food! ; ) Today I'm sharing this Thanksgiving inspired card featuring the Harvest Happiness stamp set by Sunny Studio and it's all about the best foods of Thanksgiving.  Pumpkin, turkey and pie!  Though in my opinion the only thing missing from this stamp set is some good ol' canned cranberry sauce from Ocean Spray!  YUM!   The base of this A2 sized card is made from Neenah Solar White Smoo

Happy Autumn Scene!

Hi everyone!  I'm back today with another fall-themed card.  This scene takes place in a happy apple orchard filled with cute little critters.  The little bird at the top is next to the speech bubble with different sentiments revealed with the turn of the wheel.  These interactive cards are so much fun to make!  Here is how I created this one... Using two pieces of Bristol smooth cardstock, I ink blended the following distress oxide colors (top to bottom): abandoned coral , wild honey , mustard seed and crushed olive .  Water drops were splattered onto both backgrounds using a paintbrush.  Then, one of the ink blended backgrounds was cut using the reveal wheel die and the r eveal wheel speech bubble add-on .  Then both of the card stock backgrounds were cut using the stitched cloud backdrop die to create the stitched cloud background.  The reveal wheel "wheel" was ink blended using abandoned coral, wild honey and mustard seed inks.  The sentiment was stamped on th

Haunted Kitchen

Hello! I hope you all are having a great start to your week! I'm back on the Butterfly Reflections Ink blog today with a fun Halloween kitchen scene. To make these haunted treats I used, two of my favorite, Lawn Fawn stamp sets Baked With Love and Booyah . All of the images were stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored with alcohol markers. For the background, I used Lawn Cut Peek-A-Boo Backdrop to help create each mini-scene. I die cut it once on black cardstock and again on patterned paper to create the backdrops for each panel. Using a black panel from the cut-out Peek-A-Boo Backdrop , I heat embossed the sentiment using White Embossing Powder . After cutting everything out, I assembled the pieces to the card face with a Tape Runner and a Lawn Fawn Glue Tube . After the glue was dried, I went back and added accents with my White Gel Pen. The panel with the sentiment seemed a tad bare to me, so I ended up adding some hand-drawn spiders and dots with my gel pen as w

Pumpkins

Hey Everyone, it's Julianne here and I'm back today bringing you a card filled with all things Halloween! You all know how much I love Halloween and I made sure to use all the pumpkins. My birthday was this pass week and I love celebrating by creating a card just for myself, does anyone else ever do that? I wanted to create a one layer card using some of my favorite Honey Bee Stamp products. For this card I used Pumpkin Patch Stamp Set as well as Mae the Mouse. I wanted to have this card be all pumpkins because that's what I love but I wanted to add in a little critter of course! For the witches hat I used Tabitha Stamp Set from Hello Bluebird. This card involved a lot of masking I started at the bottom of my slimline card and worked my way up making sure to add in leaves and acorns with the pumpkins as well. I love that this stamp size has 5 different sizes of pumpkins, I can't wait to create more cards using these possibly for Thanksgiving. For my coloring I u
