"Love, Home, Family" Scrapbook Layout ///Pink Paislee Auburn Lane Collection

Hi, crafty friends.... Heather here to share a scrapbook layout with you...I had a great time making this and hope you like it too!   The picture is of myself, husband, and daughter and I love the Pink Paislee Auburn Lane collection with it!  I started with a piece of white cardstock and really wanted to play with my new Shimmerz Paints because they match this collection so well.  I used the paints on the background and the cut file title cut file I cut on my Silhouette.     I matted my photo on a couple patterned papers from the 6 x 8 paper pad and popped it up on some adhesive foam.     To add texture, I machine stitched my title and the circle cut file to the background.       To embellish my layout, I used the cute little puffy stickers , rub ons , and stickers from the 6 x 8 sheet of accent stickers .  To back the embellishment clusters, I used a couple of p...

"Dancing with the Stars " Mini-Album // Paige Evans collection & cut file

Hi,  crafty friends! Heather here and I have a mini album to share with you....I used a Paige Evans mini album cut file with a collection of products from Pink Paislee Paige Evans.  I created the album for pictures taken at a Dancing With The Stars Live show earlier this year. It was super fun and had too many pictures for just a scrapbook layout! Using the cut file made it easy to create the album and Paige Evans provides a helpful tutorial on her YouTube page.        To embellish the front, I used a combination of Pick Me Up ephemera and alpha stickers from my stash.  The flair is from an etsy shop called Cuts2Luv and she has beautiful flair pieces. To enclose the album, I glued a piece of twine around it and also adhered tiny velcro circles from my stash.      To make the base of the album and tags, I used Pink Paislee Take Me Away 6 x6 paper pad and the Pink Paislee Pick Me up 6 x6 paper pad  ....

"The heart of my home" 12 x 12 Scrapbook layout //Pink Paislee Auburn Lane

Hi, friends... Heather here to share a scrapbook layout with you...Its still Summer, but this time of year, I am counting the days until fall!  I love fall..it is my favorite season....therefore, I couldn't wait any longer to use the gorgeous Auburn Lane collection from Pink Paislee ...This collection was released a couple of months ago and can be used for any occasion, but there are definitely fall accents and the colors are beautiful!  The picture is of my two daughters sitting at our dining table last year on Thanksgiving...My husband hosted dinner that year and I love presenting the food on a festive table!   The background is a Kaisercraft wood grain patterned paper from my stash and fits right in with the dusty fall colors of this collection.  I added a layer of clear gesso and then started on my mixed media background...now, anyone who likes to create mixed media backgrounds knows that in the end, most of it is covered by the photo an...

Powerful Words

Hi Everyone!  It's Jenny here and I'm so happy to be joining again to guest on the Butterfly Reflections Ink blog!  Today I'm sharing three cards with you, which are pretty simple, but the possibilities are endless.  I'm using a combination of alpha dies (you can use any you like but my cards all use the Altenew Bold Alphabet and Concord & 9th Double-Cut Alphabet ) paired with stencils and patterned paper. The aim of my cards was to create my own custom sentiment, but I wanted it to be one word, which evoked an emotion, something that stood on its own as a powerful word.  I also wanted to use some of the gorgeous patterned paper BRI carries, that is JUST TOO PRETTY TO CUT darn it :) My first card uses the 6x6 My Mind's Eye In Bloom paper pad from which I selected a page with a gorgeous floral pattern on it.  There are similar beautiful (gold!) florals in the Heart of Home pad .  I die cut the word 'strong' using the Concord & 9th Double-c...

Don't Blink!!

Hello! Samantha here, and today I'm sharing a FUN layout about our super BRIEF encounter with 'snow' here in South Carolina, last winter! It was SOOOO quick, it melted before touching the ground, and if you blinked, you would miss it! Ha! But it still counts, right?! Ha! I started by using gesso on my background, and then went crazy with the watercolor and paints in peaches, pinks, purples and black! SO FUN! Super loving that color combination! :) The gesso protects the white cardstock from deteriorating from all of the water and paints!  Once it was all dry, I used some white embossing paste and this AMAZING Knight Sky Stencil by Echo Park to add some stars and texture! After attaching those fabbie wood veneer chevrons, I covered them in clear glitter Stickles !! LOOOOOOVE that look!  And even though this is a winter layout, I used LOTS of ephemera from the Pink Paislee Summer Lights collection!! The pinks and purples were perfect matches! I also added ...

eat.sleep.hockey.repeat. layout!

Hello! Samantha here, and today I'm sharing a layout I made of my little Menn playing hockey in our driveway in their pj's! Ha!! It was so adorable! They really would play any form of hockey for the entire day, if left to their own devices! Ha! Ok, so to start my layout, I used a photo printed at 12x12! SO fun!!! I've been wanting to do that forever! I used some colorful embellishing to add some POP! I used a strip of rainbow/white cardstock from a 6x6 paper pad  to bring in the colors at the top, and then played off those colors with the other embellishments! I used the ephemera from Pink Paislee's Fancy Free collection! I also used a few of the puffy stickers from the Crate Paper Cute Girl collection - SO ADORABLE! To add some texture to my photo/background, I used embossing paste and my FAVORITE stencil ever! I used my sewing machine to attach most of the embellishments and then finished it off with the fun title and rubber charm! Hope this ...

Getting Awesome Layout

Hello and good morning! Samantha here today, and I'm sharing a fun layout I made about my little Menn holding hands and running into the hockey rink! this is their favorite place and they NEVER get tired of going there! ! Lol! i started by covering my page with gesso. Once that was dry, I used lots of watercolor -y goodness in aquas, teals and greens! I didn't heat set it to dry, I just let the page sit out! I prefer the look of watercolor that way! Once the page was dry (again! ha!), I started to add my layers! I used 6x6 papers to create my photo matte and added some texture by die cutting the edges of some to add interest! I used the torn paper edge - that one is my favorite!! The title was created with a combination of letter stickers from Evalicious (Mini Gold Dots!) and Pebbles Hello Love Thickers ! I love these two together! I embellished with stickers from the new Amy Tangerine Oh Happy Life collection , Pink Paislee Fancy Free Puffy Stickers ...

Let's Play Layout

Hello there! Samantha here, and today I'm sharing a fun layout of my two little Menn! Eek - I love it! To start, I used some embossing paste and a triangle stencil to add some subtle white on white dimension! I used a bunch of papers from various 6x6 paper pads and some recycled tissue paper as layers behind my photo! I also used one of the die cuts from the Fancy Pants Life is Beautiful Ephemera as a layer! I used Tumbled Glass Distress Ink and did some slight watercoloring underneath where the photo and title sit, too! And speaking of the title, the gorgeous 'play' word is from the Paige Evans with Pink Paislee Fancy Free Thickers ! Instead of keeping the word silver, I used some white paint and made it white! I LOVE the look! it looks like a canvas  finish! So that's my layout! Aren't my little Menn  :)cute as can be all dressed for their hockey games and ready to play?! Love them! Ha! Thanks again and enjoy your weekend! ~ Samantha

Smitten & Cute

Hello Everyone and Happy FRIYAY!! I am back with another layout! This time I am working with the Pink Paisley C'est La Vie Collection. Oh LA LA! This collection really reminds me of something elegant, pretty, and sophisticated. So that's what I went for in this layout. I wanted something simple but pretty.  I love these flowers and the cluster that's going on, on in the upper left corner. I also love the  Gold Foil Jumbo Stickers  that go along with this collection. I used the  Amy Tangerine Rise and Shine Foam Stickers  for a title. This Me + You heart is perfect for my layout. These  Puffy Stickers  are the prettiest puffy stickers and are so fun to work with. I also used some of Maggie Holmes butterflies. I had those laying on my desk forever and they went well with the layout.    So that pretty much wraps up my layout for this week and be looking out for a process video over on my YouTube channel! See you all next we...

Just For Kicks Layout

Hello and happy weekend!! Samantha here with you today, and I'm sharing a fun little mixed media layout with you! I started by adding some gesso to my white cardstock. Once that was dry, I used some embossing paste with a triangle stencil to create more texture. Then, once that was dry (lots of drying time! Ha!), I added some watercolor on top of the mixed media-y area! I combined the Distress Ink colors Tumbled Glass and Cracked Pistachio and made a nice old mess! lol! I added layers to my photo by using scraps of various 6x6 paper pads that I had! Am I the only one who keeps all their scraps? Ha! Tell me it isn't so! I did some light embellishing, too! I used the chipboard stars from the Shimelle Starshine collection , the puffy cloud outline from AWESOME Fancy Free puffy stickers , and some word phrases from Cosmo Cricket ! I even added a hidden photo on a tag behind the photo! That was fun!! I knew I wanted to keep that photo forever, but it was tak...

Not (Just) a Weed Bouquet Layout

Hello! Samantha with you today, and I'm sharing a sweet little layout I made of my littlest Mann and a beautiful bouquet that he picked for me! (He always picks me bouquets of dandelions, weeds and leaves. And I love EACH one! They're not just a bunch of weeds to me, they're little bits his *love* for me! Aw!!) Ok, so yeah, let's get right into it! I started by using my FAVORITE Star Dust Stencil from Memory Box . Then I created a rainbow of watercoloring with Distress Inks to create the background. Love that!! I matted the photo onto some tissue paper (because...texture!) and then did some embellishing with a floral sticker from the Fancy Free Puffy Stickers and the Starshine Chipboard Stickers ! I also used some of the puffy Sequins from Pinkfresh Studio ! Oh, and I used that beautiful clear acrylic flower from the Starshine Acrylic Shape s sticker pack! I want a million of those acrylic shapes!! The title was created using some of my favorite let...

December Daily 2015 inspiration

Hey guys!   Jung  here with you today with day 1 and 2 of my December Daily album.  In case you're not familiar with December Daily, it's a mini album/journal celebrating the magic of the holiday season 25 days in December.  This is my 6th December Daily album, and I just love this project!!! I've got quite a few photos, so let's just jump right in!   For the sequin pocket, I used the new [to me]  Fuse tool  to seal the top of the pocket.  I absolutely love this tool!!!  In the past, I used to use my sewing machine or use washi tape to close the pocket.  Those methods are fine, but this tool just makes it seamless. Day 1 Supplies: *Pinkfresh Studio  Christmas Wishes rubber stickers *Fancy Pants  Office Suite 6x6 paper pad *October Afternoon  Under the Tree word stickers Day 2 Supplies: *Fancy Pants  Office Suite 6x6 paper pad *Pinkfresh Studio  Christmas Wishes die cuts *Pinkfresh Studio...
