You Make Me Happy - Lawn Fawn

Hello everyone, I'm here guesting with a Lawn Fawn card for you today. Our family enjoys camping and makes us happy but tenting it isn't always fun in rainy weather so we thought we would get a trailer.  So this card is inspired by our upcoming camping season and I can't wait to see all those beautiful stars in the night sky. Now on to my card. I used the LF Happy trails stamps and dies and coloured them in with my copics (colours listed below). I used clear embossing powder to stamp the stars from Upon a Star stamp set and heat set with me heat gun. Then I used Black Soot and Faded Jeans and blended them for the night sky and took a dry tissue and wiped off the excess ink. I then blended in the Peeled Paint for the grass. I stamped the trailer and trees on white card stock with Copic Friendly black ink and colour them in with my copics and cut them out with the matching dies.  I added them to the card with foam tape.  To give it a bit of dimension I ...

Reach for the Stars in 2018

Hello BRI Friends, Waleska from  craftinglovew  here.  I am so happy today to share with you the very last post of this 2017!!!  What a great year we had at Butterfly Reflections Ink shop!!! So many amazing products added to the shop, so many talented designers share with all of us beautiful inspiration... Well too many cool stuff to mention Vanessa can tell you that better than me!!! For my card today I wanted to give a little reminder to ALL of us... to Reach for the Stars especially on this coming 2018! CARD DETAILS: I started with a white card base, I smooshed two of my favorite Oxide ink colors into my craftmat and added a little bit of water: Starting with  Peacock Feathers  and  Twisted Citron .  I then with a fine brush splash into the hole piece little splashes of  Seedless Preserves  ink .  To give the galaxy look to my piece I sponge the borders with  Black Soot  and finally added gold splashes...

Out of This World DAD!

Hello Friends, Father´s day is around the corner and I was inspired by that special occasion to create this card with lots of shimmer and very cute characters. CARD DETAILS: I started creating the galaxy background, I used only 4 colors for that:  Merman Lawn Fawn Ink ,  Distress Ink Carved Pumpkin ,  Distress Ink Twisted Citron  and Black Soot. With an Ink Blending Tool  I put some of the colors starting in the corners of the card base blending heavily to get very vibrant colors, after that I apply the Black Soot Distress Ink in some parts to create the galaxy looking sky leaving some of the original colors for a colorful galaxy, and added water splatters too. I love to mix and match different stamp sets so I used the little mustache from  Dad Me Lawn Fawn Stamp Se t  and mix it with the cute Astronaut from  Out of this World Stamp Set  my idea was to create a Daddy Astronaut. I color the planets with the same...

Hip Hip Hooray!

Hello Friends.... I made this card with my new and so adorable Big Top Birthday set from Neat and Tangled,  for any cheerful occasion!!!   CARD DETAILS: For today's project I used Oxide inks in colors  Spiced Marmalade  and  Fossilized Amber .  To create the lines I used  Stamping Mask Paper  and alternate the colors of Oxide Inks, every time I finish a line I used my  Heat Tool  to dry the lines and avoid any smearing. I wanted to add a little sparkle, for that I die cut the little stars that come with the Lawn Fawn  Scalloped Box Card Pop Up  from  Glitter Paper .   I added two strips of paper I inked with Lawn Fawn Merman  color and glue five stars to each one.  I used markers to color all the images and finish with  Wink of Stella  of course for more sparkle. Thank you so much for stopping by today.  Remember there are still lots of great products in the  STAM...

Seeing Stars!

Hey everyone!!!  Sorry, I am a bit late on this post. Time got ahead of me!!  I was so excited to play with the new stamps made Exclusively for Butterfly Reflections Ink by Shanna Noel .  These are just AMAZING!!!  You better get your hands on them before they sell out!!! I have been very inspired by the hand painted Galaxy shoes, I have seen on Pinterest. They do the technique to Vans, and Chuck Taylor's.  Now I noticed it's starting to pop up in the crafty world. So I tried my hand at it using watercolors!!  It's so fun I think I will try the technique with some other mediums as well.  You can make the same card with items in the shop!!
