Butterfly Reflections, Ink

Hello everyone! Alexandra here today sharing with you an interactive card featuring Mama Elephant stamps and dies For my card today I started by die cutting the panel using Studio Katia - Scallop frames die and the inking it using Memento dew drops Next I started working on the interactive part so I die cut the slider using Mama Elephant Flip slider dies  and the stamped the images from Yappy Woofmas stamp set  also from Mama Elephant on the rectangle cardstock that I die cut using the die from the Flip slider and the I also masked the images to be able to create a matching background as the one from the panel .  The images are colored using Spectrum Noir Alcohol markers and I also added some puffiness to the snowballs and the hat of the dog using a Snow pen  .The sentiment for this card is from Lawn Fawn  Beary Happy Holidays stamp set and I stamp it using Versa mark ink and emboss it using a white embossing powder . Hey crafty friends! Jess here and I'm excited to share this card with you today. I just had to pull out my new sets from My Favorite Things and get creating. To start off my card, I stamped the leaf image from Fall Friends repeatedly to form a background pattern. I used embossing ink for this, then covered the ink with Gilded Embossing Powder from Brutus Monroe. This stuff is literally like magic! It's the most gorgeous gold embossing powder I've ever seen. Once I heat set my background leaves, I grabbed Distress Inks in Aged Mahogany, Carved Pumpkin, and Scattered Straw. I swiped each pad on my craft mat and spritzed the ink with water. I ink smooshed the day away to get that cool blending of the colors. Then I went back after my background had dried and flicked on some aged mahogany to get the darker splatters. Next, I hand cut a piece of white cardstock in the shape of a hill and blended on some Gathered Twigs Distress Ink. I also used Copic markers to ad

Hi everyone! Amanda here today with a quick and easy little scene card featuring a new release stamp/die set, Holiday Village by Studio Katia .  I started with a piece of kraft cardstock and cut the center out using the middle sized  MFT Dienamics Linked Chain Oval Frame Die . On my white background I inked a little Tumbled Glass Distress Ink  to create a sky.  I then glued down my trees and houses and stamped the little sentiment in Black Onyx Versafine Ink. This is a very simple and quaint card, that was the look I was going for.  A card that could be made in less than an hour, but still has that charming quality! Well hello!  Happy Thursday to all of you!  So today I thought I would share another part of me.  I am an addict.  Yes, I said it.  I have an addiction to books.  I can easily read 3-5 books in a week.  It's true.  I also have many friends who enjoy books and some who even write them.  When I saw these sets from Mama Elephant, I knew I had to create with them.    So first I die cut the bookmark and tag from the Mama Elephant Bookmark It die set .  I then stamped the sentiments on each from the Mama Elephant Good Reads stamp set .  Next, I stamped the cute images from the Mama Elephant Book Worm Stamp set with Memento Black Ink and colored them in with Copic markers.  When I was satisfied with how they looked, I cut them out with the coordinating Mama Elephant Book Worm Dies .   I adhered each image to the bookmark and tag with thin foam adhesive.  I took a White Gelly Roll pen and added a few last finishing touches.  I hope you love these

Hello crafty friends! It's Ashlea and today I'm here showing off one of my most favorite stamp and die set as of late. The Laurel Frame stamp set is beautiful and versatile on its own, but when you add the coordinating dies ? It becomes a set that you will use over and over and over again. Sometimes I ask if I *really* need the dies when I'm making a purchase and I just knew with this one, that I did. More on that in a bit. First lets just talk about the beauty that is the stamp set. The wreath itself has two layers which creates interest and depth without being intimidating like some of the 3-4 layer sets that we love. I used Lime Rickey ink by Catherine Pooler for my base of the wreath and then Spruce also by Catherine Pooler for the second layer. The roses have three layers but, honestly, I found they look just a beautiful with just two as well. Hey crafty friends! It's Jess and I'm excited to share this card featuring Citrus Trimmings from Studio Katia. When I saw this set, I just knew I had to have it. So, one order ( of way more than I intended to buy, as per usual ) from Butterfly Reflections Ink later, I was ready to start creating. I started off by stamping one of the large border stamps in Memento Tuxedo Black ink since I knew I'd be doing some Copic coloring. I colored up all of the adorable lemon and lime images and then fussy cut the whole thing. I grabbed some patterned cardstock from my stash and paired it with some plain black cardstock. I love how that strip of black gives a nice contrast between the light yellow and the citrus images. I layered everything up and adhered it so my card base. I snagged some cute green and white twine and positioned it on the top portion of the card. Then, I die cut one of the smaller circles from the My Favorite Things Inside Out Stitched Circle STAX an

Hello everyone! Alexandra here today sharing with you this shadow box that I have created using Lawn Fawn stamps and dies! To create this card I started by stamping the cute images from  Jump for joy stamp set  from Lawn Fawn and then also stamped two of the bunnies from  Snow day stamp set  also from Lawn Fawn. After all the stamping was done I started coloring the images using Spectrum Noir alcohol markers and then fussy cut the images. To add more interest to my images I added a few highlights using a white gel pen and also added some dots to the eyes using a black gel pen  Now was time to assemble the shadow box and for that I am using  Lawn Fawn Shadow box card die which I die cut from kraft cardstock and the hills I die cut from white cardstock to be able to ink blend the using  Distress inks Last was to add the critters and I tried to arrange them so if you look at the shadow box card you will be able to see them all peeking . Hello everyone, Amanda here, I hope you're enjoying your weekend!  Today I wanted to share a card I made using a recently release Pure Innocence stamp/die set by MFT called, Sending Blessings .  I inked the background hill in Pumice Stone and the clouds in Iced Spruce. (both Distress Inks by Ranger). I used 2 MFT stencils to do this, Mini Cloud Edges  and Drifts and Hills . I love using these for easy scene creators, so check them out in the Butterfly Reflections Ink shop !  I Copic colored and die cut all the images to arrange my scene. I used patterned paper from the PhotoPlay Fall Breeze paper pack.  for a few layers under my colored scene. I added some Stickles glitter to the leaves, heat embossed the sentiment in white and cut out that little banner on brown cardstock. YAY!  So happy to be back with you all today!  Today I am going to share with you a card that I absolutely love.   So this Thanks A Latte set from Lawn Fawn is perfect!  Truly.  I loved that it has a cocoa sentiment as I inhale cocoa.  I love it.  I am an addict.  After seeing this set, I happily set to work on this card. I started by cutting the cute patterned paper from the Lawn Fawn 6x6 Knit Picky Fall paper pad  down to fit my A2 card base and adhered it to the card.  I die cut the Lacy Heart  from white cardstock.  Using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink I stamped the images, colored the mug, contents and marshmallows (aren't they the cutest!) with Copic markers.  After die cutting them out with the matching dies , I took another piece of patterned paper, stamped and cut out the scarf and adhered it to the mug.  Then I began to assemble the rest of the card.  I adhered the mug to the heart with foam adhesive and then adhered the heart to the card with foam adhes

Hello everyone! Alexandra here today and I am so excited to share with you my first post as a design member team. For my card today I choose the  Dandelion wishes stamp set  from Mama Elephant and stamped it using My favorite things black hybrid ink and then started coloring the images using Spectrum Noir alcohol markers. Once the coloring was done I fussy cut those cuties but if you have the  coordinating dies  from the set is even better :)) and I then started working on my panel. And for that I am using  Stitched hillside Backdrop : Portrait die and ink it using Distress inks : Antique Linen, Vintage Photo , Cracked Pistachio, Peacock Feathers and then added a few splatters of water and dry it with a paper towel. Stamped the sentiment and a few tiny images using Versa mark ink  and white embossing powder . Now the final step was to add the critters using either foam tape or liquid glue ! Hey friends! It's Jess , and I am so thrilled to be joining you on the Butterfly Reflections Ink blog for the very first time as a Design Team member. Hooray! We're going to have a ton of fun together this fall, so let's jump right in. For my first project, I'm sharing a card I made with the absolutely darling ' Mermaid Anya ' stamp from The Greeting Farm. When I saw her on the website, I just knew I had to have her, so I snagged her right away. She's way too cute to pass on! I colored her up using Copic markers and added a few gel pen accents in white. I decided she needed a serene ocean background, so I kept my Copic markers out and got to work. The sky was super easy - it's just streaks of oranges, pinks, and yellows layered on top of one another to form that pretty sunset sky we all love. Hello everyone! It's Ashlea here, and I'm thrilled to be sharing my first project as part of the Butterfly Reflections Ink design team. For my first post I decided to try a technique I have never tried before. Makes sense, right? Great! As soon as I saw the Painted Poppies set by My Favorite Things , I knew I would finally try the amazing, beautiful, dreaded no-line watercoloring technique. Of course I've watched endless video on the subject and repeated "you can do it!" to myself but until I saw these poppies, I never really felt the *need* to try. These images have such a fun, whimsical design that lends itself so well to this technique and I'd love to tell you how I achieved the look. For starters, I knew I wanted to make the watercoloring itself a bit easier for me since, well, I'm not really great at watercoloring. "What are you doing here?" I can almost hear you saying. Hey there!  Ashley Harris  here!  Super excited to be here with you for my first Design Team post at Butterfly Reflections.  I try to be conservative with my exclamations, but it may be hard being on this team.  To be a part of such a great team is exclamation worthy for sure. My first card is a fall card.  It is hard to imagine fall coming as it is still reaching 108 degree temperatures here in AZ.  Thankfully there are cute stamps that put you in the mood.  That and a fan turned on full blast in your crafting space.   Today's card features the Sunny Studio Stamps Fall Kiddos stamp set.  I love this stamp set so much! To make this card I took a 4 x 5 1/4 inch panel of white cardstock and masked it off and went to town with my Distress Oxide inks in Salty Ocean and Mowed Lawn .  I adhered the panel to an A2 card base.  I then stamped these super cute Fall Kiddos in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and then used my Copics to color them in.  I then cut them out with

Hello everyone, Amanda here with my very first DT project for Butterfly Reflections, Ink.!  I'm so excited to be joining this talented group of crafters in this last quarter of 2018.  I'm fortunate, as this is my favorite time of year, with Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas so close together! Today I'm featuring Hello Bluebird, a brand that I am quite enamored with!  All of the products I've used on this card come from their latest release and can be found in the BRI online store ! I'll link everything along the way! So I started by inking my A2 sized background with Scattered Straw, Weathered Wood and Chipped Sapphire Distress Inks, then finished with a little white acrylic paint splatter to create my night sky.  I cut the black zig zag frame out using Hello Bluebird Gallery Frame #3 dies  The hill is by Newton's Nook Designs, Land Border Dies and I inked that up with Tea Dye and Mustard Seed Distress Ink.
