Hammy Birthday by Gladys

Happy Monday! Gladys here with a cute birthday card featuring products from Mama Elephant. To begin I started with a A2 size panel cut from Bristol Smooth cardstock. Then I used the  Columbus Circle  die to cut in the center of the top panel. I inked blended the negative using distress oxide inks in  wilted violet  and  peacock feathers .  I stamped and colored a few of the critters from Celebration Hamsters stamp set. I used copic markers to color them and used the coordinating dies to cut them out.  Next I used the Quick Stripes dies to cut from colored cardstocks to coordinate with the colors I used on the images. I don't like a lot of white space on my card so this was a quick and easy way to add color and make a statement.  I backed all the images with double sided foam tape before adhering them in place. Then I white heat embossed the sentiment on the inked panel. Finally, I used glossy accents to add shine on the balloons and cake then...

Spooky snow globe with Peter

Hi everyone! It's October already which means I'm fully into making Halloween cards. It's my absolute favorite theme for card making! I had so much fun making this spooky snow globe. If you don't have the exclamation mark from the Olivers Stitched 123's set, you can cut up an 'I' to make one yourself. I used my Quickie Glue Pen to add some glitter to the bottom of the letters. I used some chunkier glitter on part of the edges of the globe too. The last thing I did to decorate the ...

You Are My Most Favorite!

Hey there! I can't believe we're already in July! Considering I spent most of June traveling, it was a little hard to get back into the swing of work and the daily grind. It was the end of my day off on July 4th before I finally felt like our house was back in a somewhat recognizable state of order. Unfortunately, along with our hectic schedule for several weeks in a row, my crafty mojo was out the window, too! But I took a short hiatus from creating, and it was just the respite I needed. The creative juices started flowing again this week. Do you ever over-complicate things? I do. All. The. Time. So, I've been spending a little bit of time thinking of some "template" type ideas that I can re-visit any time I need a quick and easy card to give. Send in the stripes! Folks, perhaps the easiest thing in the world is making a set of stripes, and then slapping a bold and cute sentiment on top for a focal point! This is a simple type of card, so this post will...
