CAS Smile

Hey everyone! Its Kevin back with another clean and simple card to share. CAS is my favorite style of card making and today's card really showcases that style. I used the Double the Smiles die from MFT as the focal point. I used a BG Copic marker to give it a ombre effect. A strip of glitter paper and gingham paper worked perfectly to ground the die cut. I grabbed a couple of Altenew's XL Simple Shapes and stamped them to create a subtle backdrop. Finally, a few white splatters and a trio of sequins finished it off.

Smile 2.0

Hello everyone! Its Kevin back with another card to share with you featuring the Double the Smiles Dynamics by MFT. Last week I shared a card with a scripty die cut "smile" and this week I chose to use the block "smile" cut. I even used the same Altenew set- Simple Shapes XL . Check it out- I started by doing some super fun ombre stamping using the oval and circle from the Altenew set. 3 shades of yellow and orange Distress Inks were perfect for inking up these "pumpkins". After the stamped images dried, I grabbed the Dynamics and cut out the word "smile" and cut right though my stamped panel. Some fun foam was used to pop up the letters to add dimension. I added it to a kraft card base and that was it! A super simple card but the technique really shines through! Happy fall! Have a great weekend!

Geometric Smile

Hey guys! I am really excited to share today's card with you all! I love the geometric clean and simple design. Check it out- I used the Simple Shapes XL stamp set from Altenew, specifically the largest triangle, to layer up some Distress Inks (12 total) to create a colorful background. I started with the triangle in the corner of the cardstock in the corner of my stamping tool. After getting a solid impression with one color I moved the cardstock panel up and to the left about 3/8 of an inch. I repeated this step twice for each corner, choosing a darker color of ink for each step. For the sentiment, I grabbed a scripty smile from MFT's Double the Smiles dynamics. I cut it from some fun foam and a piece of glossy white cardstock. Using Glossy Accents I adhered them together and then to the card base. Thanks for stopping by and I hope I inspired you to create a geometric pattern using some stamps or just to smile :)
