Friends make everything better

Hi Everyone!  I'm so excited to be back and sharing with you some inspiration for the BRI January 2020 Mood Board!  Make sure to tag your projects using #BRImoodboard on Instagram and on the Facebook group for a chance to win $20 gift certificate to Butterfly Reflections Ink ! The colors for this month are soft pastels with added texture.  My scene shows some girlfriends chatting and drinking coffee near a frozen river/lake.  Friends and coffee do make everything better right?!!  The card was inspired by the mood board image on the top left showing the frozen lake. This card was created using products from Pretty Pink Posh and a snow marker for added dimension/texture. Spring/Summer Coffee Lovers Blog Hop

Hey, Coffee Friends! Welcome to the Coffee Lovers Spring/Summer Blog Hop ! I'm so pleased to be sharing this card I created for the Coffee Lovers Blog Hop today.  Although I'm not really a coffee drinker myself, I absolutely LOVE the smell and my  husband is a die  hard fan, so I can definitely appreciate coffee for its own value!  This will be a pretty simple card to replicate, so let's get right down to it! Start by cutting and scoring a 4.25 x 5.5 inch card base.  Trim down one panel of the same size and glue down a matching sized piece of  patterned paper.  Cut a smaller piece of plain paper in a coordinating shade and glue it at the top of  the panel.  To give a finished edge where those two parts meet, you can cut a small strip of  plain paper and glue  it down to where the two portions of the paper meet together.  Stamp out the images from the  Cool Beans  ...

From one coffee crazy gal to another...

Hi guys! It's Erica back on the BRI blog today with a few coffee themed projects. Grab a cup of coffee or your choice of brew and get comfortable. I've got two cards with matching gift card holders in fact. I have mixed and matched a lot of fun different companies for these, including Altenew, Honey Bee Stamps, Pretty Pink Posh, Kuretake Gansai Tambi water colours and Ranger Ink/Tim Holtz Distress inks. I wanted a cute card with a matching gift card holder and naturally, once I got on a roll, I couldn't stop at one colour scheme so I made two different sets... Eh, what can I say? It's a problem I have. For my first card, I went simple. On a 4.25"x5.5" sized water colour card stock, I stamped 'we are the perfect blend' in Black Soot Distress Oxide and then the heart shape in Walnut Stain . This sentiment is from Altenew's Coffee Talk stamp set. I also sprinkled clear embossing powder on top of it and set it with my heat gun. Once that ...

Coffee....

Hello and happy Sunday!! I'm  super excited to be on the BRI blog today! As you can tell by the title of this post, my card is centred around coffee. Iced coffee, to-go coffee or sit at home with a mug of coffee. This card is about 95% die cutting, which I LOVE, but it did take some time and is not really mass produceable.  But if you want to send an extra special card to someone, this would be it! I started by going through my scraps drawer and choosing some nice pastel colours.  This type of card is also very good for using up those little scraps we tend to hoard, or I least I do.  I used the  Coffee Break Honey Cuts Dies  from Honey Bee Stamps for all the main images.  This set has not got enough attention in my opinion.  It's amazing!!  There is a  co-ordinating stamp set , but this die set can stand on its own.  This is a LARGE die set with A LOT of pieces. Anyway, enough swooning over the products!  Let's have a loo...

I Like Big Cups!

Happy Sunday! Danielle here from GirlRacerScrap bringing you a cute yet funny card today.  I am a child of the early 90's and if you noticed the title of the post you may have started singing a song in your head.  Yup, Sir Mix A Lot's - Baby Got Back!  While his song is about our backsides this card is about LARGE coffee cups!!!  You can never have enough coffee or tea if that is your choice.   I used the T aylored Expressions - Hug in a Mug Stamp Set  this is a red rubber cling stamp set and paired it with an older paper pad from Kaiser Craft, but any patterned papers will work.  Check out whats available in the shop here .  Materials I used that can be found in the Butterfly Reflections Ink Shop!
