Colorful Holiday Scene

Hey there, crafty friends!  Are you getting all of your holiday cards done!?  It's Amanda here with this colorful holiday card! I love using non-traditional colors on holiday cards!  I feel like it keeps things interesting!   To create this bright and happy card, I started with Lawn Fawn's Stitched Hillside Die . For my background, I blended Mustard Seed and Worn Lipstick Distress Oxides. I made some houses using Catherine Pooler's Alpine Village Stamp Set.   I used Catherine Pooler inks and Memento inks to stamp the images. To create snow, I used Simon Says Stamp's Falling Snow Stamp and Wow!  Embossing Powder. I stamped my little critters from the Waffle Flower Pumpkin House Stamp Set .  I colored them with Copic markers. For my sentiments, I used Heffy Doodle Whatcha Sayin' and Whatcha Saying Now Stamp Sets . I put everything together using 3D foam squares and strips!  I love how bright and colorful it turned out! Thank you so much...

Santa and the Mrs.

Happy Thursday to all of you crafty people!  It's Amanda Fitterer back with you today sharing one last card for October!   When I saw Mama Elephant's Santa Baby stamp set , I immediately imagined peeking through Santa and Mrs. Claus's window and seeing them share a sweet moment.  I knew I needed to make a card like this!   To create this scene, I used Heffy Doodle's Stitched Rectangle Dies and Studio Katia's European Window Die . To create my bricks, I used the Salvaged Brick Stencil by Honey Bee Stamps and Candied Apple Distress Oxide .  I masked off where my window will be using Heffy Doodle Memo Tape . Next, I masked off the brick to create a "light" inside the room using Squeezed Lemonade Distress Oxide . Next, I stamped my images from the Santa Baby Stamp Set and the Toasty Friends Stamp Set .  I colored my images with Copic markers. Then, I adhered everything together using 3D foam squares, strips, and liquid glue! Such a sweet mome...

2 Cards, 1 Design

Happy Friday, Everyone! Allison here, and I'm happy to be back on the blog today sharing a pair of slimline holiday cards. I used a bunch of new MFT products, all of which can be found in the Butterfly Reflections, Ink. online shop . I have been wanting to use this " Merry and Bright " stamp as a background, and it turns out that it works perfectly for a slimline card. So, I began my cards as I do with so many of my other slimline cards, and that is with the Mama Elephant Slim Card Basics die set. I cut a panel out of both pink and green paper. I figured while I was stamping one panel, why not make two? After playing around with the spacing a little bit, I stamped the pink paper with pink ink and the green paper with green ink. The pink ink ended up being more of a tone on tone look. The green ink was a bit more bold. Honestly, I was going for something in between, but you can't win 'em all! While I had my die set out, I went ahead and cut a white scalloped bord...

Holiday Shaker Tags

Hello and good day!  It's Amanda Fitterer here and  I am excited to share these super sweet holiday tags with you!  To make my tag base, I used Heffy Doodle's Tag Along Dies .  I love these dies because they're so versatile and they were made for shakers! For my images, I am using Hero Arts Intensified Black ink to stamp  Mama Elephant's Santa Baby Stamp Set and Toasty Friends Stamp Set. I colored my images with Copic markers. I created my shaker elements by mixing Dress My Craft's Carnival Candies , Crystal Ice Cubes , Frosted Sugar Powder , and Coffee Carnival Mix . These tags will sure be cute on some gifts for family, friends, or coworkers!   Thank you so much for stopping by the Butterfly Reflections, Ink blog!  We are so happy you're here and  hope that you feel super inspired!  Xoxo, Amanda

Scalloped Slimline Joy

Happy Friday, Everyone! Allison here, and I have a fun slimline card to share with you today. I just cannot stop creating slimline cards, especially because it allows me to use some old favorites in new ways. These Bitty Bears from MFT were one of the first stamp sets I ever bought, and I still love them. Combining them with new products is just one way to keep them fresh. All of the products used for this card today can be found in the Butterfly Reflections, Ink online shop . I came up with the idea for this card when I realized that one of my favorite patterned papers from Waffle Flower was large enough to use with the slimline scallop die from Mama Elephant's Slim Card Basics set . I wanted the entire card to be scallop shaped, so I cut the front out of the rainbow paper and the back out of white heavyweight card stock. It's easy to create a shaped card out of two separate pieces - all you have to do is score a line at the top of the back piece in order to create a "...
