Happy Easter in Bunnyville!

Hi crafty friends! Happy Easter! Peggy here with, of course, an Easter card!  I am so excited to show you my first project with Sunny Studio Stamps . Today I'm crafting with two stamp sets from the 2022 Spring Release, the adorable Bunnyville  and Little Birdie ! Let's get started! I started by cutting a panel from some white cardstock and ink blended with Lawn Fawn's Plaid Stencil with Spun Sugar ,  Kitsch Flamingo and Picked Raspberry Distress Oxide inks. I wanted to make the sentiment from the Bunnyville stamp set the star of the show. Therefore, I stamped the sentiment from the Bunnyville stamp set in brown pigment ink in the middle of the panel. I used a layer of Versamark Embossing Ink over top and heat embossed with clear powder. Next, I covered the sentiment with a piece of paper and added gold metallic watercolor paint splatters to my panel. I used two stitched nested oval dies to create a white frame to put around my heat embossed sentiment. I adhered the fr...

It's Your Birthday!

Hi everyone! It's Cassie, back to share another card with you. I saw the adorable set by Avery Elle called Birthday Paw-ty , and I knew I had to make my next card with it. These cute animal images make the sweetest birthday card!  I stamped out most of the images from the set and colored them in with my Copic markers. I went with soft pastel colors and neutrals for the color scheme. Each image was fussy cut out with some detail scissors and given white gel pen accents. I die cut a stitched s calloped circle from Lawn Fawn for the background of this party. For my card base I splattered Picked Raspberry , Salty Ocean and Wild Honey Distress Oxide inks over an A2 piece of white cardstock. I started putting the pieces together using a liquid glue so that I had time to move things if necessary. The sentiment was heat embossed onto Sage Leaf cardstock by Lawn Fawn and adhered with some foam tape to the card. And that finished it! I hope you liked the card for today. I love the...

Spring Blooms by Gladys

Hello friends! Gladys here and I'm back today to show you how I made this cheerful slimline card using mostly dies. I'm so ready for Spring and I cannot wait to see all the blooms this time of the year, so I decided to create a flower garden.  First I ink blended the background using picked raspberry , abandoned coral and scattered straw distress oxide inks. To add interest I diluted seedless preserves with water and used a small paint brush to splatter onto the card panel. I also used Gansai Tambi watercolors for the white speckles. Next I die cut the florals from colored cardstocks then used distress oxide inks to add more depth. For the bigger flowers I used seedless preserves , wilted violet for the tulips and lucky clover for the leaves and stems. I also die cut a couple of elements - a fence and grass border for the scene. I wanted this card to be whimsical so I thought it would be fun to add faces to the flowers.  To complete the card, I stamped the sentiment onto ...

Yippee Birthday Card

Hi everybody! It's Cassie from Creatively Cass, back today to share a card I made with you. Today's card was inspired by a card I made a long time ago where I had a volcano shaker. I wanted to do a similar design except this time I wanted the shaker to be coming out of the bottom of a piñata, as if it were breaking open. Here's a look at the final card.  I love the rainbow colors on this and the fun interactive element. I haven't made a shaker card in so long, I was definitely reteaching myself some things today! I started with a piece of kraft card stock and die cut a stitched rectangle from it. I used the MFT stencil Watercolor Wash Rectangle and Distress Oxide inks Candied Apple, Abandoned Coral, Picked Raspberry, and Wild Honey to get this cute watercolor centerpiece on the card. From there I used a ruler and craft knife to cut a triangle in the lower middle portion of the card. I tried so hard to measure and make it centered and even, however that is not my stro...

Conversation Hearts Card & Book Mark by Tina

Hello crafty friends, Tina here with my first card as a DT member for Butterfly Reflections Ink! I am super excited to be part of this amazing team! Today I am sharing a ‘love themed’ project with lots of cute pastel hearts. I started by cutting a white stitched rectangle panel (slightly smaller than A2 size) and divided it into two parts using a scallop border die . The top part of my panel measures about an inch. Then I pulled out my Lawn Fawn stencil ‘Conversation Hearts’ which consists of a heart and a text stencil. I inked up the lower part of the panel with the heart stencil using distress oxides inks in soft pastel shades (Squeezed Lemonade, Tumbled Glass, Salvaged Patina, Spun Sugar), the Detailed Waffle Flower blending brushes made the blending very easy. These brushes are so small that it wasn’t necessary to do any masking. To get a different look I shifted the stencil, so the hearts are in straight lines. The text was added to the hearts using Kitsch Flamingo distress ox...

Have a Really Cool Christmas Card

Hi Crafty Friends! Stephanie here with a new mini slimline shaker Christmas card!  I have been wanting to try making a full shaker card and a mini slimline, so I combined them! I started with the largest of Lawn Fawn's new Large Mini Slimline Stackables dies. I die cut one slimline card base from white cardstock and one from white glitter cardstock to use as snow later. I then ink blended the sky with Shaded Lilac Distress Oxide . I added in some snow and stars to the sky with Lawn Fawn Pixie Dust Paste  with a stencil. While the paste was drying, I colored the stamped images. I stamped the car and tiny deer from the Car Critters and Car Critters Christmas Add-Ons sets. The cute Yeti and trees are from the Yeti or Not . All the images are colored with Copic markers.  I took the glitter cardstock mini slimline I die cut earlier and used the Lawn Fawn Stitched Hillside Borders to make snow drifts on either side of the card. In the middle of the card, where ...

Yeti or Not, Christmas is Coming!

Hi crafty friends! Peggy here with a cute Christmas card using Mama Elephant stamps and dies. I recently got my hands on the Me and My Yeti stamp set and this is the first card I created with it! Let me show you how I made this card! I started by cutting a panel of sturdy white cardstock roughly the size of the stitched slimline die in the Mama Elephant Slim Card Basics die set. I used Versamark embossing ink to stamp all along the top of the panel. For this I used the Pine and Posy stamp set, but there are many stamp sets with which you could create similar results. I used white embossing powder and a heat tool to emboss my stamping. Next, I used Peacock Feathers , Salvaged Patina and Cracked Pistachio Distress Oxide to ink blend, leaving the bottom portion of the card fading to white. I used watercolor and metallic watercolor to paint the stamped foliage. I dried the panel with my heat tool and set aside between a heavy book to flatten. If anyone has a better method, please let...

Fa La La

Hello, Friends! It's Allison here, and I'm excited to be back on the Butterfly Reflections, Ink blog today. I am sharing this cute slimline card featuring some of the Peek-a-Boo animals from Avery Elle . Everything used on this card can be found in the online shop . This card was really fun to make and pretty straightforward. I started with a panel of white card stock and blended Distress Oxide Inks in the following colors: Prize Ribbon, Blueprint Sketch and Black Soot. I created the snowy background with a white gel pen. I then cut a panel of white card stock using the Slimline Stitched Square Trio Die-namics from My Favorite Things .  I stamped three of the animals from the Polar Bear Peek-a-Boo Pals stamp set, colored them with Copic markers and fussy cut them out. I did use masking to stamp the scarf on the bear instead of having the scarf be a separate element.  I trimmed the window panel down so that it was even on all sides, and then I created a blue slimline ...

Snow Globe Mini Shaker Cards!

Hey crafty friends! It's  Julia  here - long time no see! I am super happy to be back on the blog with this fun snow globe mini shaker card duo!  First I stamped my images from Lawn Fawn's  Ready Set Snow , Super Star ,  Mice on Ice , Dandy Day and Baaah Humbug  onto Transotype Perfect Coloring paper and colored them in using  Copic Markers .   To create my little shakers I used the  Ready Set Snow Shaker Add-On . I stamped the snow globe from the stamp set and die cut it with the frame die and again from fun foam. I die cut the snowy background and the hill from white cardstock and ink blended the background with Villainous Potion and Milled Lavender Distress Oxide ink.  Then I used a card base and lined the outside shape die up with the top edge making sure to leave a little gap between the cutting edge at the top. That way I ended up with perfectly shaped card bases for my snow globes! Then it was already time to assemble!  I...

Fa La La Llama Christmas Card

Happy Monday, crafty friends! Now that it's November, I feel like I can officially start making Christmas cards! I absolutely loooove a good pun, and the first thing I thought of when I saw this Heffy Doodle Llamazing Llamas set (after thinking ahhh they are so cute!) was "I have to make cards with llama puns and these cute llamas!" I llove puns and llamas! (see what I did there? Somebody stop me...😂) I stamped out the llama and cactus images and colored with Copic markers (listed below). I did a little bit of masking to add the scarf to the llama. To create the Christmas cactus, I used stamps from Lawn Fawn's Furry and Bright and Joy to All . Since I altered the stamps, I fussy cut them out instead of using coordinating dies . I added a few white gel pen accents to the Christmas lights as well. The background was created with Distress Oxides ( tattered rose , dried marigold , abandoned coral ) and Mama Elephant's Kingdom Trio (mountains and ground inked and ...

Harry Potter Card!

Hi crafty friends! Jenn here with a card inspired by my kids! They are really into Harry Potter right now so I thought a Harry Potter card would be the perfect way to end my Halloween cards for October. A few weeks ago, my daughter created this Harry Potter card (please click this link) ... she grabbed a bunch of craft supplies and disappeared into her room, and when she emerged, she had created this amazing card. I was totally inspired by her creativity and how she altered the stamps! So she really was the one who inspired today's card 😊  Remember my bear scene changing card where mama bear is reading books to her baby bear? This card is the sequel! Baby bear has been reading Harry Potter and fell asleep while reading... and now he is having Harry Potter dreams!  I used a lot of Lawn Fawn and Mama Elephant stamps for this card so I will list each element and the stamp set it's from down below.  So to create this card, I stamped out my images and for the images that nee...

Costume Party Interactive Card

Hi crafty friends! Jenn here wishing you a happy Monday! Today I have an interactive Halloween card featuring the super cute Costume Party set from Lawn Fawn . I wanted this scene to look like a group of friends trick or treating so as you pull the tab, the whole group moves towards the dinosaur friend giving out candy! First, I stamped, colored (Copic markers listed below), and die cut the images. Then I started working on the background. I ink blended a night sky with Distress Oxides ( seedless preserves , blueprint sketch , chipped sapphire , black soot ) and splattered with water. After it dried, I used the Trick or Treat stencils by Honey Bee and black soot Distress Oxide ink to create the tree and houses. To create the silvery gray moon, I used the same Trick or Treat stencils with picket fence Distress Ink , pumice stone and hickory smoke Distress Oxide inks. (My kids kept thinking it was the earth and I had to insist it was the moon... So please tell me it looks like a moon...

Thank you Friend Card

Hello Crafty Friends, Stephanie here again! Today I'm sharing a card I made using Honey Bee Stamps . I started by cutting white cardstock to a little larger than A2 size, I wanted to make sure the pickup fit comfortably. Then I created the background by making a sunset and a dirt road. I used Distress Oxide colors: Seedless Preserves , Abandoned Coral and Scattered Straw for the sunset sky. For the dirt road I used Mowed Lawn , Twisted Citron and Gathered Twigs . I added some splatters to the whole background.  I used the new Honey Bee Stamp set  Loads of Fall  with the  Big Pickup Tailgate   I love using the Big Pickup Tailgate and Big Pickup Cab sets to make cards for the men in my family. It works out great since they're all gear heads! I just had to pop the dog in the pickup because he's just so cute! I colored the pickup with Copics - G82, YG63, C2, C5 and C7. I then added the Thank You stamp from the Friend Stamp Set  and the coordinati...

Splashing awesome with Peter

Hi everyone! My term on the BRI design team comes to an end. This will not mean I will be completely gone, because I will pop-up once in a while. But I'm sharing my 'last' card in my term with you today. This time I played around with some Heffy Doodle. The images are so incredibly cute, I just had to make a card with them. I started with imagining how I want my (mini) scene to look like. I mostly used images from Highland Honeys , I only used the cloud and the sentiment from other sets. The cloud is from Fluffy Puffy Unicorns , I stamped that out with Memento London Fog by the way, I always love when clouds have a softer feel. The sentiment is from Pebble Sentiments , that set is amazing! I picked one out that I stamped with Distress Oxide Peacock Feathers using my Misti . I stamped it a few times till I got a nice and crisp impression. I picked a fun patterned paper that I cut with the Large Stitched Rectangle Stackables from Lawn Fawn. With the Outside In Stitched Rec...

Hello Friend card with Annemarijn

Hi crafty friends! Today I'm back on the blog with a cute card using paperie ink stamps . Let me tell you what products I used and how I made it.  Are you tired of me using my favorite blue and green again?! I'm not! First I stamped the images from somebunny talk stamp set . These bunnies are the cutest with their little can phones. I colored them with my copic sketch markers  and cut them with my cutter bee scissors . Next I cut the foursquare backdrop from white cardstock and colored it with distress oxide ( salvaged patina and cracked pistachio ). I always have crafting phases where I use a lot of cardstock for a month and then the next month I use lots of distress oxides. I'm in my distress oxide phase at the moment as you may have noticed. The grass I cut with the grassy border from lawn fawn. Next I die cut the word friend with Olivers stitched Abcs from ballet slippers cardstock and glittered it with quickie glue pen and prisma glitter .  Next I adhered every...

Hot-air balloon ride with Peter

Hi everyone! I'm happy to be on the blog again to share some inspiration with you all. This time I actually have three cards to share! For the base of the card I used the Gallery Frame #6 die from Hello Bluebird. I choose two patterned papers out of my stash and on another paper I blended a simple cloudy sky with the Cloudy Stencil from Lawn Fawn. I used my favorite Distress Oxide color for that; Tumbled Glass . I used the Gallery Frame on every paper and switched out all the papers so you will get three backgrounds. Fun backgrounds, no waste! The super adorable Flying High stamp set from Hello Bluebird is perfect to decorate every base. The matching dies cut out the balloon beautifully! It can be a bit tricky to match it up with your stamped image, so I would recommend to cut it out of some printer paper and use the negative on your stamped image to align the die. Perfect cut! In the Gallery Frame set are also three different scripty sentiments. I cut those out of black paper ...
