Frosty Fairy Friends!

Hey crafty friends! It’s Julia here with magical (and frosty!) scene card! I hope you are not sick of wintery cards yet! I realized that I have barely used the adorable Frosty Fairy Friends from Lawn Fawn, so I thought it was finally time to do so!  First I stamped my images onto Neenah Solar White cardstock and colored them in using Copic Markers . Then I die cut the Stitched Scalloped Rectangle dies three times out of white cardstock and layered them for extra dimension. I also die cut grassy borders and birch trees . The dies I used are currently out of stock, but the ones from Sunny Studio Stamps or Lawn Fawn or would work perfectly as well! I added a few stripes with my markers onto the trees to add a little more interest. After that, I ink blended Spun Sugar , Worn Lipstick , Dusty Concord , Wilted Violet and Blueprint Sketch Distress Oxide onto a piece of Bristol smooth cardstock for a vibrant, magical winter sky. I also added lots of splatters of Liquid Stardust for m...

August BRIMoodboard with Davina

Hello my colorful friends! Davina here, using the August BRIMoodboard, and Avery Elle stamps. I really love the jewel tone colors of the current Moodboard and I wanted to let them shine. I have been hoarding so many adorable Avery Elle stamp sets that I haven’t had the chance to use, so I decided to go ahead and dig in. The Fairy Happy   Stamp set was perfect for this gorgeous color palette.  I started by cutting a piece of white cardstock using some Lawn Fawn Cross-Stitch layers. Then I stamped a navy starry sky using the Avery Elle Starry Scene  and Faded Jeans Distress Oxide ink. Once I stamped it several times and achieved even coverage, I splattered some glittery and white ink onto the stamped image.  Next, I stamped my images onto Neenah solar white classic crest, then colored them with copic markers in shades of the Moodboard colors. I tried to get a lot of variation using only the four color families, and only added skin and hair tones. After die cutting the ...

Sugar Plum Fairies

Hello crafty friends! I'm so excited to share this card with you today. I've had the idea floating around in my head for a while, and it couldn't have turned out more perfect. This scene was inspired by The Nutcracker and Tchaikovsky's Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy.  I always adored every version of this story I came upon, and I continuously fall in love with the music every time I hear it. For my interpretation, I was heavily influenced by the most recent retelling I've seen: The Nutcracker And The Four Realms. I adored the color scheme used for Sugar Plum's dress so I incorporated them in my land of sweets. As always, I started by stamping my images on white cardstock using Memento Tuxedo Black ink . Except for the snowy trees in the background which I stamped using Distress Oxide ink: Dusty Concord , Wilted Violet , Tattered Rose , Picked Raspberry, and Seedless Preserves . I used images from Lawn Fawn sets Booyah , Christmas Dreams , Ready Set Snow , ...
