You Are Beautiful with Altenew!

Hello friends and welcome back!!! It's Laurie with you today for a guest designer post and I'm so exited to be here! I've paired a couple of Altenew products, one older and one newer. Like all of us, I LOVE getting new products but I also love to use the older stuff in my stash. And both these products are in stock in the shop! It's been awhile since I've made a shaped card, so that's exactly what I did!  I started by cutting all the florals and leaves from the Painted Blooms Die Set from different shades of cardstock. These flowers are very simple to put together! After everything was cut and adhered together, I came up with an arrangement on my circular, white card panel. I die cut 2 larger circles from kraft cardstock. I scored about 3/4" from the top of one of the circles to create a flap. I put double sided tape on the flap, lined up the 2 circles and adhered together. This created the card base. After adhering the focal panel to the card base, it was...

Altenew 8th Anniversary Blog Hop Day 3 + Giveaway (over $2,000 in Total Prizes)

Hello, folks! Welcome! You should have arrived from Michelle Short's blog ! My name is Jennifer Ingle, also known as Just Jingle , I am super duper excited to be a visiting designer here at Butterfly Reflections Ink today! I am a HUGE fan of BRI and an even bigger fan of Vanessa! And we have some FUN stuff for you! The crew over at Altenew is celebrating their 8th anniversary with a HUGE party! There are LOTS of amazing companies and designers participating in the blog hop each day, so be sure to check it out! I pulled out the absolutely fabulous Here for You stamp set for my card today. I began by die cutting a simple circle to create the front of the card. I stamped the floral image three times, with a bit of masking along the way to frame what would become my shaker. I then colored the flowers and leaves of the stamped images, stamped them again on another sheet of white cardstock, colored the flowers, and fussy cut them before popping them up on some foam tape to give this o...

"Beauty Within" Floral Birthday Card

Hey All! Kelly Fusco here. For this card I'm using Altenews "Beauty Within" Stamp & Die set . I have the coordinating stencil but I didn't need it or use it for this card.  To start off I stamped my Images onto 80lb Neenah cardstock.  I used Copics to flick color onto them. I used: RV10,RV21,RV23 & RV25 V20,BV20,BV01,BV02 & BV13 BG10,BG23,BG45, & BG13 YG11,YG03,YG25 & YG17 the centers I used YR24 & YR27 Then I die cut everything out.  Once I laid out how I wanted them to appear I used Press n Seal and press it onto my layout, flipped it over and added glue and foam tape.  Now comes the FREESTYLE....I took another 80lb panel of Neenah and I used the CHISEL side of my black Copic and from the outside edge I swiped in like a brushstroke. I repeated that down the left side of my panel.   It doesn't have to be perfect as much of it will be covered plus I love that organic look. Then I took 1 copic from each color ...

You've Been On My Mind

Hello there! Samantha here, and today I'm sharing a card I created for my Grandma's birthday! I was inspired by the March Mood Board ! Love these colors, and these images are just so FUN! For my card, I used the cutest floral images from Avery Elle : Sending Hugs and Sending Flowers ! And let me tell you, it was a struggle not to use those cute critters!! But I stuck solely with the flowers and I really like how pretty it came out! I colored all of the images with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and then used the coordinating dies to die cut them all out! I popped some of the flowers up with foam tape , to add dimension!   I heat embossed the sentiment in white onto some vellum ! Then I die cut the vellum strip with the Fancy Wavy Banners Die from Lawn Fawn! I sprinkled some warm yellow sequins around the envelope too! And I can't forget, for the background, I used a strip of the super awesome Dotted Washi Tape from Altenew ! Hope you play along with the BRI Mood...

Sending You Strength

Hi Crafty Friends!! It is  Dana  here today and I am so excited to be back sharing a card with you all! I am using the Gorgeous  Altenew: Beloved Daisy Stamp Set , definitely a favorite. I started my card by using the  Beloved Daisy Stamp Set . I did all of my stamping with my  MISTI , such a great tool for keeping all the layers lined up and for getting a good impression with your ink. Next, I used the  Beloved Daisy Die Set  to die cut my flowers and the stems. There is also a  Coordinating Beloved Daisy Mask Stencil  to go along with this set. For my sentiment, I used the  Pink Fresh Studio You've Got This Stamp Set . This is such a great set with so many wonderful sentiments that you can build, definitely a Must Have. I stamped my sentiment in  VersaMark Ink  (onto Vellum Paper ) and heat set  Silver Embossing Powder . When you are using a heat gun with vellum, make sure your heat gun is very hot and k...

To A Fabulous Friend

Hi Friends! It is  Dana  here today and I am so excited to back as a "guest" this month to the  Butterfly Reflections, Ink Blog . Today, I am using the Gorgeous  Altenew: Ornate Foliage Stamp Set . I love all the layers and pieces that are included with this set, and it is so easy to line up! To begin my card I stamped the outline with  Gina K Amalgam Ink in Jet Black . Next, I stamped all of the layers with  Distress Ink . I lined the stamps up in my  MISTI , added ink, spritzed the inked stamp up with water and closed the lid. I wanted my colors to blend slightly and have the appearance of watercolor.  The Colors I used were: Abandoned Coral, Carved Pumpkin, Mustard Seed, Moved Lawn and Lucky Clover. Once my stamping was finished I used the  Ornate Foliage Die Set  to die cut my images. For my card panel I did some tone on tone stenciling with the  Pretty Pink Posh Wide Stripes Stencil . I am in love with this sten...

Wonderland

Hi BRI friends!  Toni with you today with a couple of bold floral cards for a change of pace. The Altenew Wonderland flowers were embossed with Versamark and Ranger Gold embossing powder (my fav). I then used Lindy's Magicals to color them up. I LOVE the shimmer. Both cards feature a sentiment from Altenew Beautiful Day stamped in Versafine Onyx Black . The multi-flower card base has been masked and sponged with a repeating pattern stencil and Distress Oxide Black Soot . The other card uses a partial stencil cover plate die cut on black.  Lots of oomph but less messy for sure!  I stamped the sentiment on one of the Lawn Fawn Everyday Sentiment Banners . For a full list of ingredients and to see my other creations, go on over to my blog, Frankie Helps Craft .  Hope you have the most beautiful day!!

Bloom With Happiness

Hey there, BRI friends - Kathy here!  A green thumb is something I do not possess - at all.  I've managed to shrivel up the most hardy plants around which is so sad because I love live greenery!  Thankfully, I can enjoy these stamped plants which I know I can't destroy because they don't need water and will last forever :) For my card, I layered Lawn Fawn Kraft cardstock onto the card base. The shelves and plant images are from Altenew's Indoor Garden set (a large, fabulous set!) and coordinating dies.   I first stamped and die cut the shelves and adhered to the base.  The Indoor Garden set is a layered stamp set which enables you to easily add separate colors to each image - kind of like coloring with stamps! The sentiment - which I thought was perfect for the scene created - is from Reverse Confetti's Hanging Blooms set . Hope you'll follow us via email/blog , Facebook and/or Instagram so you won't miss any projects the design team s...
