It's been a minute since I have been on the Butterfly Reflections, Ink blog and I am happy to be here sharing a little inspiration with something I have been longing to play with... the Lawn Fawn Magic Iris! Follow along with me, Janette Kausen , as I walk you through the details of this Really High Five Magic Iris interactive card. Hi, Crafty Friends! This is Tiffany and today I'm sharing a spring Thinking of You card. We all know someone who can use a little cheer right now. I used several items available in the Butterfly Reflections, Ink. online store to create this card. I've been wanting to use vellum on a card for awhile now, I like how it gives a muted view of the patterned paper inside the Easter egg. Hey there, friends!! Welcome back to the blog! I'm thrilled to be here today, sharing this cheery card that was really easy to put together but also makes a beautiful statement! So let's get to the card! I started off by cutting and scoring a 4.25 x 5.5 inch card base and laying it in my MISTI. Using an ink blending brush  and Tumbled Glass Distress Ink , I created a soft ink-blended focal point in the background.  I chose blue because I knew I was going to make my floral images pink, and I knew blue would be a nice pop on that background. I chose the Layered Bouquet Stamp Set from Pinkfresh Studio because I knew it would be a lovely and large focal element for the front of a card and I knew this gorgeous arrangement could carry the entire card. I stamped the floral images in a series of pink inks , using the lightest shade for the largest floral image and then the medium shade of pink on the smaller image. Hello Crafty friends! Davina here on the blog with a spring filled slimline card, using a new release by  Sunny Studios Stamps . Hello stir-crazy crafters! I think we can all agree that this has been an incredibly hard week or two. I would have thought that quarantining myself in my house would mean I have tons of time for crafting, but I feel like I have less time than ever! I'm in my last two weeks of my online classes, I have 6 kids doing "online at-home learning" and I'm so stressed out and anxious, I'm having major problems concentrating on any task for more than 3 minutes. Not really how you want to feel a week before finals!  Anyway....when I sat down to make a card, I immediately knew which set I wanted to use. Hi everyone, Ashley here and I'm so happy to be back on the Butterfly Reflections Ink blog! I'm still getting lots of use out of the new Lawn Fawn Spring 2020 release, and today I have another card to share using their Really High Five stamp set. To make this card, I first stamped out the adorable bunny and mouse, as well as the trampoline and little jump lines, from the Lawn Fawn Really High Five stamp set in Lawn Fawn Jet Black ink , and coloured in the images with Copic markers. I cut them out, leaving a small white border. I then put together the slider mechanism. First, I cut the rectangular sunshine piece from Lawn Fawn's Hello Sunshine Remix paper pad . I then cut two slider channels into it using Lawn Fawn's Slide on Over dies. I placed foam on the back of the panel, making sure to leave lots of space for the slider elements to slide around in their channels. Hello crafty friends and welcome back to the Butterfly Reflections Ink blog. Silvia's here today to share with you a romantic card made with a bunch of Lawn Fawn adorable goodies. I first stamped images from the "Swan Soirée" and "Little Fireflies" stamp sets  with raven hybrid ink , I colored them with alcohol markers and I fussy cut them (you can use coordinating dies if you prefer and you can find them here and here ). To create my night sky I blended together black soot , chipped sapphire , blueprint sketch and dusty concord Distress Oxide inks, I splatterd with clean water and white ink and added some gold drops. I then die cut two stripes (a very small one and a bigger one) with the new cattails border die and I ink blended them. For the water I used salty ocean , peacock feathers and evergreen bough Distress Oxide inks, while for the green parts I used twisted citron , mowed lawn and evergreen bough. Hi there, friends! Tammy here with a fun birthday card to share with you all! With all the madness going on around us, I needed to make a bright and fun card to uplift my spirits. I can't think of anything better than a rainbow to do just that! I snagged the new Mama Elephant  release from the store, because it's just that cute!! To begin, I used the Slimline Card Series Dies  to cut a piece of Bristol smooth cardstock to create my rainbow background. Next, I ink blended the following Distress Oxide inks from top to bottom: Picked Raspberry , Spiced Marmalade , Mustard Seed , Twisted Citron , and Salty Ocean . I splattered some water onto my panel and some thinned out ink to create some interest to the background. Once dry, I attached my background to a 3 1/2 X 8 1/2" white card base. I stamped the darling critters from the Stackable Friends Stamp Set  and the balloons from the Big News Stamp Set  onto Bristol smooth cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink , a

I'm back sharing this mood board- inspired card with you today using a mix of old and new products from Pretty Pink Posh !  The blues, yellows and pinks were inspired by the mood board below. To start, an A2 piece of Bristol cardstock was cut using the smallest scallop ovals die which is available from Pretty Pink Posh website.  The panel was then ink blended using distress oxide inks: black soot , blueprint sketch and salty ocean for the night sky.   Hillside stencil used to create a grassy hill using distress oxide colors pine needles and mowed lawn .  After the background was dry, I splattered white acrylic paint and added white gel pen to fill in the stars for the night sky. After using a powder tool,  the sentiment from thoughtful greetings  was stamped using Versamark ink  and white heat embossed.   Images from bunny friends , baby, and spring days stamp set were stamped using potting soil archival ink.  Zig clean color real brush pens used to

Hello!  It has been super long since I've "seen" you all and let me tell you it is a welcome sight for sure.  I am sure I am not alone in this whole "I'm going crazy being confined to my own area" thing.  It is absolutely unusual and hard for sure.  So I went with something simple.  Mainly because it is something easy to create and recreate if you'd like.  Here is a simple tag to enjoy.  Here are the step by step instructions so that you can recreate it yourselves. Stamp the images from the Let's Stick Together stamp set by My Favorite Things using Gina K Amalgam Ink.   Color them with your choice of Copic markers.  Add finishing touches to images with a white gel pen . Using the Coordinating dies for Let's Stick Together , cut out the images.  Cut the tag from the Scallop Square Tag Dies by Pretty Pink Posh.    Stamp sentiment on top of the tag and adhere images with foam adhesive.  Wrap twine around the bottom of tag and adhe

Hello.  I know this is a weird time for everyone.  So, I'm sending out some big (virtual) hugs and sharing some ideas for cards to help keep in touch with friends and family. It's no secret that I love clean and simple cards.  I made this week's cards by taping off the center portion of a panel of Bristol smooth card stock.  I blended two colors of distress oxide (even opting for a unique combo of purple and gray, below) before flicking the area with coordinating watercolor and acrylic paint. You can keep these cards super simple or add some additional interesting elements.  To make the HELLO letters in this card, I temporarily adhered the cut-out letters to a scrap piece of paper, pounced sticky ink and embossing powder over them, and set the embossing powder with a heat tool.  I usually add a second layer of ink and embossing powder for good measure.   I used colored card stock for the card bases of both cards to pull the whole card together. Today I've got a creepy-crawly-filled card to share using stamps and supplies from Lawn Fawn's Spring 2020 release! I don't love bugs in real life, but how cute are these stamped ones? To start this card, I stamped out all of these adorable images from the new Lawn Fawn A Bug Deal stamp set in Lawn Fawn Jet Black ink . I coloured them all in with Copic markers and cut them out, leaving a small white border. For the background, I experimented making a one-layer inked scene background. I started with the sky, using a cloud stencil and blending on Distress Oxide ink in Tumbled Glass . I then used a grass stencil and blended on Distress Oxide ink in Lucky Clover just below. I faded the green into strips of varying brown shades - Distress Oxide inks in (from top to bottom): Antique Linen , Rusty Hinge , Vintage Photo , Walnut Stain , and a touch of Black Soot .
