Made to Soar

Hello, everyone!  Toni here with you today sharing a good luck card. I stamped the Hello Bluebird Maverick images with Memento Tuxedo Black and colored them with Copics . I added Clear Wink of Stella and Ranger Glossy Accents to jazz up the plane. Blingy bling! Before assembling the images onto the card front, I cut the Lawn Fawn Watercolor Wishes 6x6 Paper down to size and used one of the Lawn Fawn Stitched Trails for behind the plane. I stamped the sentiment with Versafine Onyx Black then adhered the images using Gina K Connect Glue and Scotch Foam Tape .  I'm looking forward to giving this to one of our departing students at the end of the summer! Flipping Adore You!

Hi, Butterfly Reflections fans! Toni here and I'm head over heels for this card featuring Lawn Fawn Magic Picture Changer dies paired with the Neat and Tangled Jumped for Joy set! I highly recommend you watch the LF intro video on using the dies. After that it's a snap! I started my card by completing the Lawn Fawn Magic Picture Changer section first--you know, the fun part! I stamped and colored the Neat and Tangled Jumped for Joy hedgie with Memento Tuxedo Black on both sliding pieces so it would appear he was bouncing on the trampoline.  Notice the trampoline is stamped on the LF MGC frame.  The images are colored with Copics. Next I sponged the MFT Mini Cloud Edges stencil with Distress Oxide Peacock Feathers .  Isn't he so cute bouncing? Eeeeeeee! Once the slider was assembled, I stamped the sentiment with Versafine Onyx Black and set it aside while I did the card base. The pull tab and base paper are from the Lawn Fawn Spring Fling ...

Fairy Wishing

Hello, BRI fans! Toni here with you today! For the card background, I stamped the Mama Elephant Wishing You sentiment with Versamark and embossed it with gold. I then sponged Distress Oxide Worn Lipstick and Salty Ocean around it, placing a bit of emphasis at the bottom so there was more shadow behind the diecut. Can you see the strip of gold at the bottom as well?  I masked the card base and used Versamark to emboss more gold. Next up: the Pink Fresh Spring Floral Die . I love its folksy vibe, don't you?  I also love that it comes as a two-parter for even more versatility.  I used both parts in my card--the top left in white and the bottom sponged ombre-style with Distress Oxide Twisted Citron and Mowed Lawn . I used Ranger Multi Medium Matte to adhere the intricate cut. I'm a messy crafter and MMM is a godsend as the glue dries matte and hides my messiness. :) Now time to color up a few of the Mama Elephant Little Fairy Agenda images using Copi...

Wonderland

Hi BRI friends!  Toni with you today with a couple of bold floral cards for a change of pace. The Altenew Wonderland flowers were embossed with Versamark and Ranger Gold embossing powder (my fav). I then used Lindy's Magicals to color them up. I LOVE the shimmer. Both cards feature a sentiment from Altenew Beautiful Day stamped in Versafine Onyx Black . The multi-flower card base has been masked and sponged with a repeating pattern stencil and Distress Oxide Black Soot . The other card uses a partial stencil cover plate die cut on black.  Lots of oomph but less messy for sure!  I stamped the sentiment on one of the Lawn Fawn Everyday Sentiment Banners . So Mushroom

Hello, lovelies!  Toni here with you sharing some of my favorite types of images--gnomes and fairies! I started my card by airbrushing Copics through a stencil. I love the dreamy effect. The Lawn Fawn Mushroom House nestles perfectly in the scene with the walkway. I diecut the mushroom cap out of Doodlebug Design French Kiss paper . Those tiny tiny hearts are adorable. Next I stamped the Lawn Fawn Oh Gnome and Mama Elephant Little Fairy Agenda images with Memento Tuxedo Black . I colored them up using mostly the same Copics I had used with the stencil. I add a bit of Copic shading here and there on the background as well btw. Final touches included stamping the Lawn Fawn Oh Gnome sentiment in Versafine Onyx Black and adding Clear Wink of Stella to the fairy wings. Sparkle on, little fairies! For a full list of ingredients and to see my other creations, you can check out my blog, Frankie Helps Craft .  Have a great week!

Sound the A-llama!

Hi, BRI fans!  Toni here with another fun birthday card! I don't know about you, but I LOVE a good pun (or a bad one--LOL) so absolutely had to get the Avery Elle Llamazing set.  Come on:  "Sound the A-llama"--too cute to pass up!!! I started the card by using Distress Oxides and the MFT Card-Sized Confetti Stencil  to create a fun background. I framed the card front using the Hello Bluebird Gallery Frame 1 outside diecut. Next I diecut a bunch of candles and colored them with Copics .  The llama is stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black and also colored with Copics.  I drew attention to the sentiment by stamping part of it in red. LOVE!  A few Pretty Pink Posh clear sequins adhered with Ranger Glossy Accents finish off the card. Check out my blog, Frankie Helps Craft , to see more of my creations.  See you soon!

Birth-Yay!

Hello, everyone!  Toni with you today and have I got some birthday cuteness for you! My first card features MFT Birth-Yay  stacked critters stamped with  Versafine Onyx Black  and watercolored with Zigs on Strathmore Bristol Smooth ( Tim Holtz Distress Watercolor Paper would work well too).  I used the MFT Card-sized Confetti stencils and Distress Oxides for the background. Isn't that fab?  Even more fab is that the Confetti stencils come in a set of two that are reversible so there are a number of combinations to make each background unique.  Cool! I finished up the card by adding a strip of Doodlebug washi at the bottom and stamping the  MFT Birth-Yay  sentiment in Versafine Onyx Black . My second card uses the MFT Heart Tree die and one of the cute  MFT Birth-Yay  birds. The background behind the tree is a leftover of a Ranger Alcohol Lift Ink project. Such an easy to pack in a lot of wow! The  MFT Bi...

Close to My Heart

Hello, BRI fans! Toni here with you today. I'm sharing a super cute mixed media card that has me singing with joy! The base of the card front is Ranger Adirondack Alcohol Inks dropped onto Yupo .  You can see the various colors peeking out from behind the Lawn Fawn Polka Heart Cover Plate die cut. I die cut the  MFT Heart Tree  from a leftover piece of  Ranger Tim Holtz Watercolor Cardstock  colored with Lindy's Magicals. I left pieces inside the die and dotted the paper with  Ranger Multi Medium Matte . I then placed the front panel onto the backside of a mouse pad and pressed the tree die facedown onto it. I used a stiletto tool to push out any remaining pieces then removed the die, leaving the paper behind. Magic! I next colored the MFT Tweet Friends bird using the below Copics . Isn't he sweet?! Lastly I stamped one of MFT Tweet Friends sentiments with Stazon Jet Black onto a piece of the leftover Yupo panel. Normally I would have ...

Birthday Girl

Hello, everyone!  Toni here with you today sharing an utterly girlie girl birthday card. This was so fun to make! I started the card by diecutting the Hello Bluebird Gallery Frame 3 . (I'll be using the inner cut on another card for sure!) I adhered a piece of Doodlebug Designs Fairy Tale 6x6 Paper behind that then adhered the lot to the card front after sponging the edges with Distress Oxide Picked Raspberry . We can never have too much bling so I added an MFT Fringed Scallop Border cut from glitter cardstock. Swoon! I colored the critters from Pretty Pink Posh Cupcake Critters using Copics . They're so so cute!  The sentiment is cut from the Doodlebug Designs Fairy Tale 6x6 Paper and mounted on white so it pops out a bit more. Feel free to check out my blog, Frankie Helps Craft , to see my other creations.  Have a great week!

Happy Christmas

Greetings, my lovelies! Toni here with another holiday card. The New Year's resolution is intact! For today's card I started by laying out the fun wintery scene using MFT Snow Special and MFT Happy Christmas . I embossed the background using a Sizzix embossing folder. I decided to use lots of Distress Oxide Mustard Seed yellow as it's always so gloomy here in the Pacific Northwest at the holidays. Yellow definitely is a pick-me-up color! I chose coordinating colors in Copics to color the images I had stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black . Once colored, I used Wink of Stella Clear to add shimmer to the icy elements. That little bit of shine is so pretty! Feel free to check out my blog, Frankie Helps Craft , to see my other creations.  In the meantime, hope you have a sunny day and I'll see you next week!

Warm Friendship

Good day, BRI fans! Toni here today sharing a warm and cozy friendship card. I first sponged Distress Oxide Fossilized Amber and Wilted Violet over the Newton's Nook Plaid Stencil on the card base. This is a two-part stencil that allows you to position the two different grid patterns however you like for endless pattern and color possibilities. Love it! I next diecut the white panel using one of the Pretty Pink Posh Scallop Borders ; it seemed a bit too white to me so I spattered it with the Distress Oxide Wilted Violet . Next I stamped the cute and whimsical Hero Arts Warm Animals with Catherine Pooler Midnight Ink . Be warned the CP Midnight leaves black on your stamps but it's such a crisp, lovely black on paper. I colored the critters with Copics .  Finally I stamped the sentiment in Catherine Pooler Flirty Fuschia . I LOVE that color! I also love the contrast of the Pretty Pink Posh Scallop Borders curves against the straight lines of the Newton's ...

Love and More Love

Hi, everyone!  Two Valentine cards coming at you from Toni today. The holiday is next week so I've been crafting love all over the place! I'm using all sorts of leftovers in this card. Woo hoo!  I started the card by adhering pink cardstock (leftover) to my card base. I then adhered the Altenew Cozy Flannel Coverplate diecut (leftover) on top of that. I got dotty with a white pigment pen for snow.  Next I popped up the love diecut (leftover) from the Mama Elephant Tri Window Coverplate . I stamped the MFT Warm and Feathered Hugs critter with Memento Tuxedo Black and colored it with coordinating Copics . I love the soft colors, don't you?  To finish the card I added a small strip of  Alexandra Renke washi and a few Flora and Fauna Love Hearts diecuts. So glittery! My next card also uses some leftovers, including the love sentiment from the Mama Elephant Tri Window Coverplate and Doodlebug Design Cream and Sugar 6x6 Paper strips. I noticed th...

Love Monkey

Hi, my lovelies!  Toni here with you sharing a Valentine card for my favorite monkey. I started the card by using a Clarity Stencil Brush and Distress Oxide Twisted Citron and Mowed Lawn to stencil the leaves onto the card front. I then diecut the Lawn Fawn Polka Hearts Backdrop die. I can tell I'm going to get a lot of use out of this one!  I next sponged the card base with Distress Oxide Picked Raspberry using the negative of a heart die as a mask. I then covered the card base with Scor-Tape and laid down the card front. I sprinkled glitter over the entirety and burnished the glitter into the hearts using my finger. Such fab shine! Now the really really fun part!  I stamped the Sunny Studio Love Monkey images using Memento Tuxedo Black and colored them with Copics . They are centered on top of a Lifestyle Crafts diecut heart that I sponged with Distress Oxide Picked Raspberry and Candied Apple . I had intended to stamp the sentiment onto a ban...

Atoms and Ions

Hello, BRI fans! Toni here with you sharing a couple of cards using  MFT Cute Chemists . I studied chemistry for a couple of years in college and worked in the field later in life so this set immediately caught my eye. So cute! For this card I embossed the background using Versamark and Ranger white and red embossing powder.  I used Copic Opaque White to fill in the hearts. The sentiment is also embossed. The chalkboard effect is very cool, right? Next I stamped the girl in Memento Tuxedo Black and colored her up using the below Copics . I had made another card using  MFT Cute Chemists  set; this one with a bit more of a masculine feel. The  MFT Hearts Entwined Die  (using a small piece of Doodlebug Cream and Sugar Paper ) is the perfect backdrop for this cutie.  I colored him with the below Copics and used Versafine Onyx Black for the sentiment. The tiny hearts are stamped in Catherine Pooler Party Dress . Feel fre...
