Butterfly Reflections, Ink

Hello there and welcome to the Butterfly Reflections Ink blog! It's Janette Kausen here and it's been a minute since I've guested with BRI. I am excited to be back and to share today's project with you! As soon as I saw the Citrus Vine stamp set from The Stamp Market I knew it was going straight in my cart. We are citrus farmers so this set just had to be mine! Recreate this card by stamping The Stamp Market's Criss Cross Background in Gina K's Black Amalgam ink on a 4 1/2" x 5 1/2" Lawn Fawndamentals white cardstock panel. Next, set up The Stamp Market's Citrus Vine orange in a Mini MISTI Precision Stamp Tool in order to stamp it accurately three times. First, ink stamp completely solid in Dried Marigold Distress Ink.  Then, tilt Carved Pumpkin Distress ink at about a 45° angle to ink up just the outer 1/2" or so of the image all the way around. Finally, repeat with Spiced Marmalade Distress Ink on just the outermost edge of t

Happy Saturday crafters! Danielle here up on the BRI blog today as a guest and I couldn't be more excited!!  I have a fun card to share with you today featuring the new and adorable Mama Elephant Little Panda Agenda !  As soon as I saw this stamp set I knew I had to have it and I knew Vanessa would ship it out super fast because she's awesome!! This card was a labor of love but I am more than thrilled with the way it turned out!  I first started with an ink blended panel using Distress Ink Oxides in Tumbled Glass , Dried Marigold , and Tattered Rose .  I then adhered my ink blended panel directly on to my black card base.  I had an idea that it would be cute for the pandas to be on bamboo, and I found the HelloBluebird Birch Tree Dies would be perfect! Once I ran the tree dies through my die cutting machine I colored the trees to look like bamboo using copic markers in YG07, YG25, G09 and G94. For the leaves I added some Nuvo Glaze for extra detail.  I used some Lawn

Hey friends! Britney here with a  Lawn Fawn Center Picture Window  card! I really enjoyed making this little card. I had my nephew in mind while making this. He’s almost 2 and has the cutest way of saying “’Ello Mate!" I like to start with building my backgrounds when making cards. I inked up my card panel with  Broken China Distress Oxide ink  and the  MFT Mini Clouds stencil . I cut a panel using the  Lawn Fawn Sunrise Backdrop die  out of heavy weight white cardstock. I did this because I knew I wanted to color part of the sun as sand for my critters and things. I colored the sunrise with my Copics.  For my water, I used the waves from the  Lawn Fawn Shadow Box Card Ocean Add-On . I colored this with Copics, as well. After it was dry, I used some  clear ink  and embossed my sentiment in white before attaching it to my card base. For the inside of my card, I inked up my sky the same way I did the front of the card. I also inked clouds on the pop-up portion of my car

Hello everyone! It's Ashley with a fun birthday card featuring Mama Elephant! Bonus: it's full of rainbow goodness! I started by blending Distress Oxides in Picked Raspberry , Squeezed Lemonade , Mermaid Lagoon , and Wilted Violet with a blending brush onto white cardstock. I splattered the background with water and dabbed the excess with paper towel before hitting it with a heat gun to dry. I die cut another piece of cardstock with an A2 stitched rectangle die , and cut a two inch section out of it. I used Mama Elephant Scripty B-Day with Versafine Onyx Black and clear embossing powder for the sentiment on the bottom piece. I used foam adhesive to attach the two white pieces to my ink blended piece to make a rainbow strip across the front of the card. I then stamped the cute critters from Mama Elephant Big News in Lawn Fawn Jet Black ink and colored them with Copics. I stamped the greetings in the signs with Versafine Onyx Black and clear embossing powd

Hey everyone, it’s Julianne here and I’m super excited to share these two cards featuring some Pretty Pink Posh products. Not only do I love these cards but I love that I actually got a good picture of them, the past 2 weeks have been storming non stop which makes it incredibly hard to take picture of my cards outside. Does anyone else struggle with that? Any suggestions, I’d love to hear them. Well back to the cards, they both feature the Beautiful Butterflies by Pretty Pink Posh . I started out by stamping all of the butterfly images, I knew I wanted to clear heat emboss them so with my anti static powder bag I put the powder all over my paper than stamped them with VersaFine Black ink before adding some clear embossing powder. I really love adding this small step to my cards, it just adds something special to the images. I knew I wanted to do some distress oxide blended backgrounds so once I had picked my colors I decided to color in the butterflies with copic markers to match

Morning and Happy Tuesday crafty friends!! Heather here to share some PUNtastic cards with you using Avery Elle goodies that Vanessa has stocked in the Butterfly Reflections, Ink. Shop RIGHT NOW!! I gotta tell ya, I love a good punny sentiment - I also happen to also LOVE Pho & Ramen - they are totally my jam! This Avery Elle Phonomenal Stamp Set is just that - PHOnomenal!!!! Every sentiment is amazing and I love that there are also Elle-Ments (aka dies) for each and every little stamp in this set! SO FUN! Today I created another card set to share with ya! I love making cards so much that a lot of times I work on a set at a time as opposed to a single card! I stamped the images and colored them using Copic Markers - one of the fun things I did was stamp the little flower images included in the stamp set onto the bowl using a bit of masking paper so that I didn't go out of the lines or onto the rim of the bowl ;). This adds a nice bit of interest in my opinion!

       Hello friend! Gladys here and today I'm sharing this sweet birthday card.     For this card I used the Moose and Friends stamp set from Hello Bluebird. This set is full of cute critters and accessories to create the perfect party theme cards. We're going to celebrate Mr. Moose's birthday and have a couple of his friends join him on this special occasion. To frame my scene I cut white card stock using hug it out  and then I decided to cut it out of craft card stock as well. For added interest I used stitched woodgrain backdrop on the craft card stock. On the white card stock I created the background using cloud and grassy edges  stencils. I used distress oxide in broken china for the clouds and mowed lawn for the grass. All the images were colored with copic markers and cut out using it's coordinating dies . I arranged all the images as shown using foam tape for dimension. Hey friends!!! Britney here with a fun birthday card series featuring My Favorite Things products.  Here’s another set very unlike my normal style of scene card, but I couldn’t resist these adorable critters. I had to have the whole set. I like to start with making my backgrounds first and build from there. I inked up a panel of Bristol Smooth Cardstock with  Squeezed Lemonade Distress Oxide   ink. I had a bit heavier hand at the bottom and went lighter towards the top. I used the  MFT Ray of Light Stencil   and inked the panel up again with  Spiced Marmalade Distress Oxide   ink.  After everything thing was dry, I used the next largest  Lawn Fawn Stitched Rectangle Frame   and cut a frame directly out of my panel. I also cut three additional frames from plain white cardstock to stack together to give my frame some dimension.  I cut all my animals (MFT Friendly Fox, Little Piggy,  Cottontail Cutie ,  Racoon Cutie , and  Puppy Love ) from Neenah Classic Crest Solar White 11

Hello everyone! It's Ashley with a card showcasing a stamp from a new company - Evelin T. Designs! I knew I needed this Sneaky Kitties stamp as soon as I saw the preview! Look how cute they are!! I started by stamping the Sneaky Kitties with my MISTI and Lawn Fawn Jet Black ink onto Bristol smooth cardstock, then I colored the image with my Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers. I used the large Polaroid die from Hello Bluebird Photo Stack to cut out the part of the image I wanted on my card. I cut that same die out of white cardstock and white foam and glued them together for some dimension on the frame. I made the background by die cutting white cardstock with the Pretty Pink Posh Lattice Background and attaching it to Lawn Fawn Fog cardstock . After attaching my Polaroid pieces, I used the "smile" word die from Hello Bluebird Photo Stack on some Lawn Fawn Sage Leaf cardstock and attached it to the bottom of the photo frame with my Zig glue pen . Good Morning Crafty Friends, Julianne here bringing you some welcome/thank you cards. I created these cards using some older Altenew products and giving them new life. I love digging into my older stamps and creating something new with them. The stamps I decided on using where the Altenew Neighborhood Stamp Set  as well as the Altenew Leafy Wreath Die . I started out by using the Leafty Wreath Die to die cut a variety of different card stocks (two shades of green, vellum, and some gold glitter card stock). I wanted my wreaths to look really full, depending on the look you are going for you could die cut less or even more. The trick to making the wreath look really full is adhering it different each time, making sure that you are moving the leaves around so that they are in different places. Once I had all the wreaths ready to go it was time to start working on my background, cutting down some white card stock just under an A2 size. I figured out where I wanted my wreath to be on

Hi crafters, Heather here. Are you even YETI for the card I'm sharing today?!? I don't know if you are but here we go! I just totally fell in LOVE with the Hello Sweeutms Yeti Set Go stamps and dies and have been itching to create a slimline card using them for some time! I just LOVE how the dies cut out the little hands so that they can hold the cute little presents/hearts from the stamp set! I am always super inspired by Davina's slimline cards and have been playing with them more and more lately! You can really build a scene so well with a longer card base (the card base is cut to 8x4 and scored it at 4"). This type of card will fit perfectly into a #10 envelope! Hey there crafty friends, Davina here for  Butterfly Reflections Ink  sharing a shiny gold embossed card using the current June Mood/Color board.  I wanted to do something a little different than my normal, and feel like I stepped out of my typical creative style enough to experiment, but still be recognizable.  This is the first card I have made in a very long time that I did not use my Copic markers, and that I also used all embossing with no black ink. I used an adorable newer stamp set called With Love  by The Greeting Farm that I picked up from the Butterfly Reflections Ink website along with the  Matching dies . I also used their super cute Hi Hello  script die. I began my project by inkblending my background with several  Ranger Distress Oxide Inks  using the  Pickett Fence Life Changing Bender Brushes  onto Bristol smooth card stock. I used the colors worn lipstick, squeezed lemonade, and broken china for my background and splattered with clean water and white opaque ink

Hey, crafty peeps!!   Laurie here, back as a guest on the blog :).  I know today is Father's Day but I'm actually sharing a birthday card. I had so much fun making this card for my husband.  We have a family of cats, two indoors and eight outdoors so this was just perfect! The All of Us Stamp Set from Avery Elle is beyond cute. And I admit I bought it for the cats! I used a watercolour set that includes an array of vintage shades and coloured the cats.  The little arms holding the signs kill me. They are hilarious!  I stamped the "happy birthday" and "from all of us" on the signs then used the co-ordinating dies to cut everything out. To jazz things up, I stamped the Confetti Background Stamp from The Stamp Market onto a white card panel.  And because I couldn't stop there, I used the new Just Stitching Double Rectangles dies from Lawn Fawn.  If you've been on the fence about this set of dies, I highly recommend them.
