Everything Nice Holiday Card with the BRI Moodboard

Hello crafty friends! Are you still scrambling to make your holiday cards? Today I'm sharing a simple design that can be created quickly! (and when I say "quickly" I mean an hour or two hahaha! You know what I'm talkin' about!) I am using this month's BRI Moodboard for my color inspiration. Be sure to enter your creations for a chance to win $20 to the BRI store!  I used a mix of Mama Elephant and Concord & 9th products. The honeycomb quilt top die  has so many possibilities and I had fun figuring out how to arrange my Little Agenda images on the background. You can even use this design for other occasions-- just swap out the images! The gold from the moodboard was slipped in with my heat embossed sentiment. I like how the bit of black contrasts against the white background and colorful hexagons. Supplies used: Mama Elephant Little Penguin Agenda ( coordinating dies) Mama Elephant Little Snowman Agenda ( coordinating dies ) Mama Elephant Everything Nic...

Hi there! Samantha here, and today I'm sharing card that was inspired by the April BRI Mood Board challenge ! You can check out all of the details on the post here ! I used an oldie, but a goodie!! stamp set from Create a Smile stamps ! I used the Sending Sunshine stamp set - I LOVE those cute sea creatures so much! I stamped the images and then colored them in with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. Then once it was all dry, I fussy cut them out! For the background, I used Alcohol Inks and Ranger White Yupo Paper ! I love alcohol inks!! Especially when it's for a water background! Once that was dry, I used the Under the Sea Adventure Stencil and white embossing paste to add some texture! I heat embossed the sentiment in white , and then fussy cut out around it! Be sure to play along with the April BRI Mood Board Challenge ! ~ Samantha

Camping in a Winter Wonderland

Hello, Everyone - it's Allison, and I am excited to be up on the blog today with this card that was inspired by the new December mood board. Everything that I used for this card can be found in the Butterfly Reflections, Ink online shop . Before I get to my card, have you seen this month's mood board? It could not be more gorgeous!! You must play along with the mood board challenge this month. I know that I'm going to be making more cards with this palette. My card today features the fun Camp Trailer Card die set from Honey Bee Stamps . The camper goes together so easily, thanks to all of the separate pieces. All you have to do is pick what paper to use for each element. That may actually be the hardest part - too many patterned papers to choose from! I grabbed some scraps from my stash that went along with the color palette and got busy die cutting and gluing. There's a lot going on with the window. First, I cut a Christmas tree from Concord & 9th's Iconic Ch...

Sweet Bitty Bears Fall Card

Hi crafty friends! I am so excited to share this card for a sweet friend made with the cutest squishy  bitty bears from MFT !  I colored the bears with Copic markers (listed below) and I had to give a nod to Harry Potter with that Gryffindor scarf! After cutting the bears out with the coordinating dies , I stamped out the trees from MFT's Modern Trees with Lawn Fawn inks ( artichoke , cilantro , pumpkin spice , chili pepper , sunflower , and walnut ) and cut out the trees with coordinating dies . I cut out grass pieces using landscape dies from Mama Elephant , ink blended them with Distress Inks (crushed olive and mowed lawn), and splattered with mowed lawn Distress Ink. I created an autumnal sky with Distress inks (scattered straw, spiced marmalade, abandoned coral) and splattered carved pumpkin Distress Ink onto the sky. You can definitely achieve the same effect using Distress Oxide Inks as well. I stamped out the sentiment with Versafine onyx black ink  (my favorite...

New home Reveal Wheel with Peter

Hi everyone! My brother and his family moved into a new house so it was time for me to make a card. What better way to wish their house becomes a home soon with a handmade card? A while back I invested in the Reveal Wheel stencils . They aren't needed to create a successful Reveal Wheel card, but it makes it really easy and way quicker! So I decided to put them to work with this fun Reveal Wheel card. I have three nephews so I figured it would be fun to use the Build-A-Castle die set to create a fun castle on the card for them. I paired it with the Tiny Fairy Tale stamp set. Because admit it, how cute is that?! For the background I made clouds using the Cloudy Stencil and Distress Oxide . To break a habit of using Tumbled Glass (which is a great color for clouds) I used Salvaged Patina instead. It turned out great! To make the hill, I used Rustic Wilderness and Mowed Lawn . I cut the hill with one of the Simple Stitched Hillside Borders dies. The sentiment is from the Happy ...

XOXO I like you (a lotl)

Hi everyone! Peggy here! Today I'm sharing a card with the incredibly sweet axolotl from the latest Lawn Fawn release. And he brought a friend <3 This set is called I like you (a lotl) and 'Axo Axo I like you a lotl' immediately popped into my head. Let me show you what products I used to create this card! I started by stamping out the cute images in this mini set a couple of times with Lawn Fawn Jet Black ink and colored them with my copic markers (YR, R for the axolotls and BG for the plants). I used the coördinating dies to cut out the images. I used Lawn Fawn Finley' s ABCs to cut out the XOXO and I distressed the letters with Distress Oxide Tattered Rose and Worn Lipstick to match the critters. I put some glitter on the letters with Nuvo Glitter Drops Orange Soda . Next, I created my background by using the Cloudy Stencil upside down (I don't own the Ocean Wave Stencils yet) to stretch my supplies. I used Distress Oxide Pine Needles , Mermaid Lagoon and...

Mood Board Inspiration with Farhana

Hey everyone! Today I'm sharing a Valentine's Day card inspired by the mood board . Check out this month's gorgeous mood board created by Amanda!  I was inspired by the color scheme, who doesn't like rose gold, along with the dark blue starry background (didn't add stars, just lots of shine!) To create the card I started by stamping both the heart wreaths from the Large Floral Hearts  stamp set with a light copic friendly ink. I left the stamps in my stamp positioner so I could restamp after coloring. I colored using pink and teal copic combos (RV13-21, 21-02, 23-04, 02-00 and BG 13-11), and then embossed using rose gold embossing powder . Then die cut them using the coordinating dies . To create the background I used the  Love Background Stencil  to emboss a piece of navy card stock. This is a great way to stretch your supplies!  To assemble the card, I layered the floral heart die cuts with some foam tape, added Midnight Black Jewels , and an embossed sentimen...

November Moodboard with Davina

Hello Crafty Friends. Davina here with a little BRI Moodboard inspired card today. The November colors  Amanda chose are very easy to play with. Harvest Yellow, Clay Pink, BlackBerry, and Rich Teal make up the quartet of color this month.   The project I’m sharing today is using a few sets from Paperie Ink. I’m very new to this brand and purchased a few seasonal sets last month. I didn’t have a chance to use them sooner, but I’m so loving how cute these characters are. I combined the stamp sets   Autumn is Calling  and  Happy Holi-yay , along with Lawn Fawns  Meadow Backdrop  Die. I stamped all of my images with Momento Rich Cocoa ink and copic colored everything using light and dark shades of this months colors.  Since there are no coordinating dies for these stamp sets, I had to use the scan n cut. Which worked fine considering I’m never going to fussy cut this many images. I recommend always cutting out before you color you images. The Sc...

Ho ho ho - Santa's sneaking some cookies before delivering the presents under the tree! Ha! I combined the stamp sets Christmas Dreams and Ho-Ho-Holidays to create this little Christmas eve scene! I fussy cut out all of my images, but never fear, there are coordinating dies to ease your pain! All of the images were colored with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers! Thanks

Hi, everyone! It's Cassie here from Creatively Cass, and I'm happy to be back on the Butterfly Reflections Ink blog sharing a card with you today! Lately I've been needing an abundance of thank you cards, so for today's post I decided to make one using some products I've been itching to use. Let's jump right in.  I started by cutting down some 110 lb white card stock to be 4 1/4 by 5 1/2 for an A2 card. Then I used the adorable Newton's Nook stencil Bold Blooms with my Distress Oxide colors Worn Lipstick and Tattered Rose to get this beautiful floral background. Next, I die cut the Big Thanks die from some 110 lb white card stock. I wanted to make sure it popped on the busy background, so I went ahead and heat embossed some gold embossing powder after stamping with the Big Thanks stamp set on the letters. To finish the card i attached the thanks die with foam tape and it as complete! This was a super easy design, but it really packs a ...
