Unicorns & Rainbows

Hello there, friends! It's Christy from Christy Gets Crafty here today with a cute card featuring  My Favorite Things Fairy-tale Friends . These unicorns and rainbows are so much fun to color! And to make things even sweeter, I added in a few cupcakes from  Birdie Brown's Birth-Yay . After I stamped and colored all my images with Copic markers , I trimmed them out with the  matching dies.  Then I die-cut two cloud panels using  Lawn Fawn's Puffy Cloud Borders . I glued the back one down flat to the card base with liquid glue, then stamped my sentiment on the front panel with Lawn Fawn Black Licorice ink and popped it up with foam tape . I adhered my images with a combination of liquid glue and foam tape, then stamped out the little sparkle marks from A Little Sparkle in Forget-Me-Not and Moonstone ink . As a finishing touch, I dabbed on a bit of Crystal Stickles to my unicorns horn and wings, the rainbow, and cupcake liners to  bring some...

Plane and Simple!

Hi friends!  Kari  with you today, and I am happy to share this fun card with a little bit of rainbow goodness, and punny sentiments! For today's card project, I wanted to ink up one of my favorite sets from the Lawn Fawn release called  Plane and Simple .  I had this vision in my head that one of the planes was flying in a rainbow path, because rainbows are happy and cheery!  So, that is what I started out creating first. I die cut a piece of smooth white card stock with the largest of the Small Stitched Rectangle Stackables from Lawn Fawn.  I created out of some masking paper from Inkadinkado, and I took one of the Stitched Hillside Borders dies and had to separate pieces to create a wave pattern.  Then, I took some Distress Inks in Candied Apple, Dried Marigold, Squeezed Lemonade, Twisted Citron, Salty Ocean, Blue Print Sketch, and Wilted Violet to create my rainbow wave :) Then, I peeled back my masks to reveal a nice sharp line! ...

Triple Rainbow

Greetings, all!  It's Lorraine ( Created by Lorraine)  sharing a set of cards I made using Paper Smooches' Rainbow die .  This post is filled with lots of photos, so please bear with me:)  Here's the first card, which uses a sentiment from the Paper Smooches Flap Happy  stamp set: I created the rainbow by running the die 6 times through my die-cut machine, in all the colors of the rainbow.  I used this little paper sample pack I picked up at a stationery convention a few years ago.  Those pieces of cardstock have really come in handy when all I need is a bit of color! Then I arranged the pieces in rainbow order, then reverse rainbow, then random order:)  And, I have a bunch more pieces to make more rainbows for later projects. Next, I ran die cut the rainbow on a card panel just so I could use the negative space as a guide when assembling the rainbow.  Then I masked off the area below the rainbow, blended some distress ink t...

Create A Smile - Copic's and Colored Pencils

Hey folks! I'm back today to share a couple of really fun cards with you! I really enjoy taking one stamp set and try out a couple of different ideas. The Create A Smile Color Your Heart Out Stamp Set is perfect for this. It has loads of Images that you could use with so many different mediums. I dig it. For my first card, I started by stamping my Images with Momento Tuxedo Black Ink masking some of them off with Inkadinkado Stamping Mask Paper . You could totally color these in any colors you want, but I decided to Copic color them in a rainbow. I stamped the Images down the center of my Card Panel, but I decided to trim down both sides and adhere it to a My Favorite Things Gravel Grey Card Base. I also added a strip of Ranger Metal Silver Foil Tape . For my second card, I wanted to use the same Image from the Set , but this time, I heat embossed the Hearts with Versamark Ink and Hero Arts White Embossing Powder . I used Tombow Irojiten Color Dictionary Col...
