Bible Journaling w/ The Greeting Farm

Hello, everyone! It is Jessi from Kissin' Krafts ! I am excited to be back on the Butterfly Reflections, Ink blog , today! I have joined the Bible Journaling community a few months ago. So when I saw that BRI carried the faith-based stamp sets from The Greeting Farm, I knew I had to get to work! For today's page, I choose the adorable  Trust in the Lord stamp set .  I stamped the angel image in the center of the column. The image is colored in using Neocolors and ZIG Clean Color markers. The phrases were stamped in black ink. The inside of the 'Lord' image is also colored in with Neocolors. I used a variety of blues and greens to create the scene around the angel. Water was used to blend the colors together. If you would like to see the  Trust in the Lord stamp set and the other The Greeting Farm sets, check out this SECTION in the BRI store. Thank you for stopping by today! Jessi Supplies from BRI Store: The Greeting Farm - T...

Poppy Stamps Delivery Card

Hello, everyone! It is Jessi from Kissin' Krafts ! I am excited to be back on the Butterfly Reflections, Ink blog , today! If I planned ahead better, I might have had a plan to do a leap year card, but I didn't. But I hope you all enjoy the extra day! First of all, let's talk about all the different goodies that are available in Butterfly Reflections, Ink store. So many new brands and new lines coming out. Be sure to check out the NEW PRODUCT section in the store.  One new brand to me is Poppy Stamps, which I will be using on today's card!     I knew that I wanted to make a scene card with the Poppy Stamps Mail Delivery stamp set and coordinating dies . However, I wanted to add some dimension to the card. Today's card, I tried something different for me. I made the scene with a frame popped up around the picture. The first step was to gather up a variety of papers to create the scene with. I grabbed the American Crafts Shimelle 6x6 paper ...

Trio My Mind's Eye Holiday Cards

Hello, everyone! It is Jessi from Kissin' Krafts ! I am excited to be back on the Butterfly Reflections, Ink blog , today! First of all, let's talk about the current sale going on right now over in the Butterfly Reflections, Ink store... You can check out the deals, HERE! Now on to my project... I don't know about you, but I love to send out Holiday cards to family and friends. However, with our hectic schedules, it makes it hard to find time to create all those cards.  So I am in love with using collections that include a variety of embellishments that match the paper. Today, I made these 3 cards in a matter of minutes. These cards are made using the My Mind's Eye Christmas on Market Street collection. I used the 6x6 paper pad, flair buttons, and die cuts embellishments.   I love how the flair provides a pop of color on this festive white and gold card. The large snowflake and sentiment banner are part of the die cuts packet. ...

You're So Sweet Card

Hello, Butterfly Reflections friends! Did you know that yesterday was National Ice Cream Day? Did you have the chance to enjoy any?  Sadly, I did not have the chance to enjoy the real thing. So to make up for it, I decided to celebrate with paper! :) Using a Crate Paper 6x6 paper pad, choose a selection of papers to form the card layers and ice cream cone.  My Favorite Things dies make it super easy to create the ice cream cone.  Attach the layers of cards onto the card base. Attach the ice cream cone, topped off with a red sequin...as a cherry.   To finish the card, a sentiment from the Lawn Fawn Sweet Smile set does the trick! The card seemed a little too Clean and Simple, so the addition of enamel dots, complete the card!   There are always new products arriving in the Butterfly Reflections, Ink store ! Stop by and check out what is available!   Jessi Supplies available at Butterfly Reflections, Ink : Crate Paper - Open Book L...

Hello, friend!

Hello, Butterfly Reflections friends! It is Jessi from Kissin' Krafts  and I am excited to be in the Butterfly Reflection, Ink blog today! One of the colors I gave myself for 2015 was to improve my coloring skills. It is a work in progress and I am having a blast with it! Have you noticed that there are several cute elephant stamps out there!  I bought the Avery Elle Ellie stamp set from the Butterfly Reflections .   This elephant is simply adorable! Because I am learning (and make lots of mistakes) I stamp the scene on a blank cardstock. Then I stamp the images I will be coloring onto a separate sheet. That way if I make a mistake it is not on the actual card. After I few attempts, I was finally happy with the coloring. I cut out the elephant and attached to the card. I did the same step with the balloons. The grass and flowers are stamped and colored. A simple sentiment is used to finish the card.   **This Avery Elle set is currentl...

Watercoloring with Lawn Fawn

Hello, Butterfly Reflections friends! It is Jessi from Kissin' Krafts ! This is the second posting for today, so in case you missed Danielle's beautiful creation---check it out HERE ! Just like Danielle, I am using watercolors on my card as well! I think I am in love with the watercolor technique! Today is using stamps from one of my favorite stamping company, Lawn Fawn ! I love the selection Butterfly Reflections carries! From the new and the old! Check out the Lawn Fawn selection to see what is in the store now! Here is my card using Lawn Fawn's Wish You Were Here stamp set:   The bottom sentiment came from Lawn Fawn's Milk and Cookies stamp set . I love how simple it is to create the sentiment on a curve with clear stamps! I believe it adds so much to overall look of the card!   I attempted to watercolor the map to resemble the landscape of the US. I love how watercoloring can be somewhat forgiving!   Check out the Butterfly...

It's Your Time to Soar

Hello, Butterfly Reflections friends! It is Jessi from Kissin' Krafts and I am glad to be back to share with you a fun and fresh card. Reflection   Who else is ready to put winter behind them? I am ready to start crafting with fun and fresh prints!   Today's card, I am using a few supplies I bought from the Butterfly Reflections store lately!     I knew I wanted to use this fun sentiment from Avery Elle's  Look Up stamp set.  My first thought was to use cloud print paper and maybe add a kite. As I was searching for the right paper, I came across the paper airplane print from AC Day Dreamer 6x6 paper pad.  The rest of the prints came from the same paper pad. (Who doesn't love paper pads? They make it so easy to coordinate papers!!!)   Once I attached the papers, I added a small white wooden clothespin to the card. However, it needed something else. I started messing with adding string to the project, but simply co...

Lawn Fawn Cuteness at Butterfly Reflections, Ink!

Today, I am sharing a fun project using some fun Lawn Fawn cuteness! When I first saw the  Milk and Cookies  stamp set, I knew it was a MUST-HAVE! But in all honesty, what Lawn Fawn isn't a MUST-HAVE?     The milk and cookie jar image are just shouting to be colored. So I broke out the colored pencils and began the process!  The plate, cookies, and milk glass were stamped on cardstock or paper and cut out. I wanted to make it look like the items were placed on a table, so the kraft cardstock is embossed with a woodgrain embossing folder. The sentiment is added to a speech bubble, created by the Lawn Fawn Speech Bubble Border die .   Want to see the latest product to be added to the Butterfly Reflections, Ink shop? Check out the store HERE!   Thanks for stopping by today! Jessi ( Kissin' Krafts )

Thank you BRI!

Today is my last post for the Butterfly Reflections, Ink Design Team! Where has the time gone! Boy, did that go by fast!   One of my favorite things from the BRI shop has to be the awesome exclusive stamps that were released! They are still available, HERE !   Here is the card I created using the Over the Rainbow set:     To create the rainbow, I stamped the words in black. Then I stamped the remainder of the rainbow in a variety of colors. To create this look, I taped the sections of the image I did not want to color. Once the ink is applied, I would recover the tape and stamp the image.  To add some texture to the card, I added a couple cloud diecuts.   Supplies from BRI Store: BRI Exclusives - Over the Rainbow stamps   I had so much fun being part of this team! I cannot wait to see who makes the next Design Team! Have a great day! Jessi

Is it a Bag or Is it an Envelope?

Hello, Butterfly Reflection, Ink friends! What better way to start off the new week with a new BRI project!   I have always used treat bags for...well, treats! But the idea came  to me to turn it into an envelope for a card.     I love that the glitter stars add so much texture to a simple treat bag. A simple paper banner is added to the bag to act as a closure. A simple sentiment is stamped on the bottom of the banner.  To finish the envelope, I added a couple different embellishments (the heart and the enamel dots).   Supplies from the BRI shop : Cosmo Cricket- Treat Bags My Mind's Eye - Enamel Dots and Mildred Paper Pad Waffle Flower Crafts - Bowtiful Stamp Set Heidi Swapp - Clear Heart Embellishments   Have a wonderful day! Hello, Butterfly Reflection, Ink friends! What better way to start off the new week with a new BRI project!   I am excited to share my card today! The stamps are from the newest Lawn Fawn release, which is available in the Butterfly Reflection, Ink store .     I wanted these cute spooks to look like they were peeking through the holes. The holes are created using a circle die. The images are stamped and colored in with a selection of markers. The sentiment is stamped onto a banner held by one of the monsters.   Supplies from BRI shop: Lawn Fawn - Monster Mash Clear Stamps   Thank you for stopping by and have a great day! Jessi

GOLDEN Monday at Butterfly Reflections, Ink

Hello,  Butterfly Reflection, Ink  friends! What better way to start off the new week with a new BRI project! I usually try to create a project using items from the same collection. But I am realizing how easy it can be to combine items from different companies! For this project I used GOLD from the different companies. Here is the card I created using elements from Simple Stories ( Story of Us ) and My Mind's Eye ( Jubilee ): When you are making a card that will go with a gift, it is easy to use the scraps to make a gift tag that matches. No need to throw away the scraps! Check out the supplies I used available in the  BRI store : Simple Stories -  Story of Us 6x6 paper pad My Mind's Eye -  Jubilee Beautiful Mixed Bag Don't forget! Have you seen those latest card challenges, 10 minutes or less? I would never had been able to complete this challenge if I had to create every piece by hand! But these premade pieces make it doable! Here is the card I created with the premade embellishments matching the Fancy Pant's Burlap & Bouquets Collection: To make the card stand out, I decided to create a shaped card versus a regular card. The front is covered with 2 different patterned paper. I...

More than Meets the Eye

Hello, Butterfly Reflections, Ink friends! Today I am showing how versatile crafting products can be! Vanessa sent me some fun Simple Stories SN@P product and I have to admit, I was stumped. I am mainly a card-maker. I have created a few scrapbook layouts, but have NO experience with mini albums or similar projects.  So I started off with staring at the Simple Stories's I Heart Summer Pages trying decide if I should tackle the albums or try something different. After a few days, I decided that the individual pages would make a great addition to a layout.  **Sorry about not including a picture. I am indecisive when it comes to making a scrapbook page. It normally takes me a handful of days to finish one from start to finish. I am a beginner when it comes to this craft. So needless to say, it will probably take me a few more days to pick what picture I want to use. I used two of the summer pages on the layout. To make the die cutout cloud POP...

Fussy-cutting with My Mind's Eye

Today I am excited to share my latest card created for my Butterfly Reflections, Ink design team assignment! I think it is easy to state that My Mind's Eye is my favorite paper company! It seems like I am always drawn to their collections! So I was super excited to come across the My Mind's Eye section in the Butterfly Reflections, Ink's store! You can check out the section  HERE . The collection I used on the card below is My Mind's Eye's Now & Then "Mildred" : Now, as I stated last week, I am addicted to 6x6 paper pads! (Don't forget to check out the PAPER section in the store! There is an amazing selection available!) Any who... One of the reasons I like the paper pads is because it usually includes a pattern that can be fussy-cut. Such as the print pictured below. I decided to cut out a few of the flowers to use on this card. Not knowing exactly what I was going to do, I cut out a number of different flowers/leaves. ...
