Guest Designer Sunday with Megan Hoeppner

Hello again, and happy Easter Sunday to everyone! Today is our final post with our AMAZING and gracious March Guest - Megan Hoeppner !!  ___________________________________________ Top o’ the weekend to ya! How was your St. Patrick’s Day? Do anything fun to celebrate? This was my youngest’s first, which made it a little extra special around here. We enjoyed time with friends, a visit from The Leprechaun, and some green and rainbow themed food. But, more than anything, all of the talk of good luck and time with those I love only further reminded me that I’m far more than lucky—I’m blessed! That’s the feeling I wanted to capture on this page, while also emphasizing that it was Lulu’s first March 17th. To begin, knew I wanted to create a large shamrock, so I cut my patterned paper leaves.  Originally, I was going to do more of a rainbow design, but my in-home consultant (my hubby) couldn’t tell it was a shamrock, so it was back to the drawing board I went v...

December Mood Board

Hello there! Amanda here with you today to share this month's mood board and the layout it inspired! I started by covering my paper in gesso and then used a couple different shades of blue gelatos to create the background. Once that was dry I used the MFT stencil and some modeling paste to add some dimension and texture.  I love mixing vintage elements with more modern/bold pieces, the Pinkfresh Studio wood drops were perfect to contrast them here. Supplies used: MFT Large Snowflakes Stencil , Pretty Little Studio Diecut Watercolor Clouds , Pinkfresh Studio Holiday Chevron Wood Drops , Wink of Stella Brush Marker Clear Are you inspired by these wintry colors? I'd love to see what you create! Just leave a comment with a link to your project.

I hope you all had a GREAT Labor Day Weekend!  I recently got my DT package and it was full of all kinds of goodies!!!  So I had to dig in and get all crafty over the holiday weekend.  This card is all kinds of crafty, texture goodness!  It all started with the 3 x 4 masks from Mr. Huey's /Studio Calico I wanted to use it in a different way.  So I taped it down to my piece of vellum and smooched my versamark ink pad down on it several times to get all the nooks and crannys.  Then I put the Super Fine Embossing powder on it. Quick Tip: Use Superfine Embossing powder on sentiments and images with fine detail for best results!  Then I got a card from the Jubilee Journaling cards, I have to admit the colors are super pretty together.  I quickly took a paint brush and swiped some of the Dina Wakley Medium Paint on the edges.  I love how it turned out, that paint is lusciously smooth an...
