Have an Ice Day

Hey guys, it's Shawna with a wintery card today.  I used the fun Lawn Fawn Critters in the Arctic stamp set for this one. I adore the little narwhal.  I used the Doodlebug Frosty Friends 6x6 to add some more color to the card.  The Lawn Fawn wood veneer snowflakes helped fill in some white space as well. I did add some glittery stickles to the ice but it is hard to tell even when i tried a close up.  I hope you enjoy this fun little card. Thanks for stopping by!

Inspired by my Christmas colors this year….

I have decided that my theme this year for Christmas at my house will be White & Gold. I'm so into those colors right now that I made my project this week using those two colors. I love the simplicity of this card. It really showcases the white & gold. I used the Taylored Expressions Light as a Feather stamp & die set.  I wanted a soft element to my card, I cut out one of the feathers using vellum and I love the look of it. I love how one feather is different from the others. I always like to throw in some confetti into my cards, I die cut a few extra feathers in the vellum that will be in the card when the recipient opens it :). Thanks for checking out my project this week! Cheri

All is Calm, All is Bright featuring Winter Tree by Neat and Tangled

Hello crafty friends! Today I have a card that features two amazing stamp sets. Check out my video for more on how I combine Avery Elle's More Stories and Neat and Tangled's Winter Trees . As you can see in the video sometimes when I make a card I start with the stamp set(s) in mind and make a sketch. I keep my stamp sets in zip top bags and sometimes I will sketch out an idea and leave it in the bag for another time. But this card I knew I wanted to make right away. I can't resist a cute fox so he had to be colored. When using watercolor or Distress techniques be sure to use Ranger Archival Jet Black but for Copics reach for the Momento Tuxedo Black pad and marker . A great clear embossing powder is essential for a resist technique like this one. And you can pick it all up for 30% off through Monday December 1st at the Butterfly Reflections Ink store so head on over!

Christmas Gift Card Tags

Hello!  Lisa here, and I am delighted to be guesting today here on the blog!  Christmas is fast approaching, and as we paper crafters have been in the spirit for a little while, we are now starting to get into the shopping spirit as well.  I always have a lot of gift cards to buy on my lists, and it always seems so booorrrriiinnnngggg!  So this year I've spiced them up a bit... Supplies Used: Dies: Lawn Fawn (Trim the Tree) ; My Favorite Things ( Gift Card Grooves and Stitched Traditional Tags ) Stamps: Lawn Fawn ( Trim the Tree and Deck the Halls ) and Winnie and Walter ( The Big the Bold and the Merry ) Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black and Memento Luxe Various Copics Embossing Powder: Fine Detailed Clear by Ranger How To: To create these tags you will need to die cut 3 tags for the Christmas tree tag and 2 for the boughs tag.  Next die cut the gift card grooves, which ever one you prefer.  I have done two different ways to show you your options.  Next stamp,

"Joy" Gift Tag

Hi...thanks for joining me today! I'm here to share with you a Christmas holiday tag! I don't know about you, but as for me I find it really hard to bring myself to buy a pre-made tag, card and even gift card holders (for any occasions) only because I say to myself "I can do that"...lol! Tags are fun, they can be used to simply decorate a simple box (as I did), put on cards and even to help a simple gift bag! Here is  my tag... As I flipped through my stash I came across these patterns from the Burlap & Bouquets by Fancy Pants Paper Pad which totally screamed Christmas out to me. I used Lawn Fawn Tag, You're It and the Scripty Joy dies. For the joy die, I cut one out of pattern paper and 3 more out of craft card stock to add a little dimension. I tied my tag to the box with some jute twine to the white ribbon that came with the box. To finish my tag I just added a few sequins from TCP Christmas Holiday Sequins . Hope you enjoyed my

Thanksgiving Place Cards

It's Shawna today with a fun Thanksgiving project.  I love making cute little place cards for the family so i thought i would put together some new ones with some adorable Sweater Weather Bits & Pieces from Simple Stories.  Start out by cutting some 3x6 paper strips. You can go bigger if you like.  I used a heavyweight cardstock so that they would hold up for next year.  I used some glitter tape to give them a glitzy element and then just applied the die cuts. Some are on pop dots for some dimension.  So there you have it. Simple and fun but would also be a great craft to do with the kids.

Non-Holiday Cards!!!

Hello Everyone!! Piali here....today I have some NON-HOLIDAY cards to share with you all. Surprised...isn't it??? I know... you all must be expecting another holiday project from me...Nah! I have something different for a change. First card is the pick-me-up or encouragement type...  A CAS card....super quick to make!!! I used the Neat &Tangled- Origami Map stamp set...Loooove this set!!! I inked my stamps with various distress inks , then sprayed lightly with water before stamping on water color paper. This background can be used for several types of cards and can be mass produced easily. Then I used the heart line image from Avery Elle-Sending You set to create the flight path. Sentiment is from the same Origami map set, just heat embossed with WOW Seafoam White EP . I told ya...It super simple to create!!! Next up is super funny birthday card... THIS stamp set is too FUNNY!!!! Love  it. Its called the Party Grumplings from Taylored

Halloween Project Life Card

I decided this year to make an October Daily since the month of October is so busy for my family with decorating, deciding on and making costumes, planning, and everything else that goes on to make our annual halloween house a success. I am loving how it is turning out! Here is my day 1 card: I used the Doodle Bug Ghouls & Goodies Mini Paper Clips and the super glittery Halloween Sprinkles .           The Frankie & Friends Decorative Brads are so so cute and create a little extra dimension for the layout.   Frankie & Friends has been my favorite Halloween collection this year!!! I love the colors and the cute little images and sayings. This beware beware tab will stick out of the pocket for my interest and the arrow was perfect for that photo! I love stars on all my layouts, I loved these Halloween colored enamel stars from Jillibean Soup.

Merry Christmas Using Word Dies as a Mask

Hello crafty friends! Today I have a card where I challenged myself to use the  WPlus9 Handlettered Holiday Dies  in a new way. I've already used the die in the most basic way in one post and I used it as an embellishment in another post but today I will be using it as a mask. You can watch the video for more on my process. I decided to use the  WPlus9 Handlettered Holiday Dies  without the coordinating stamp set. I thought it would be nice to show you how you could get great use out of it without investing in both. I used the  Lawn Fawn Joy to the Woods stamps  and  dies . For this card I decided to mix it up by coloring on the kraft paper.  I combined red and kraft for a simple color scheme. I love kraft at Christmas time.  To get a polished clean look I used  Multi Medium Matte  as the adhesive on my die cuts.

November Mood Board

Hello there! Amanda here with you today to share this month's mood board and the layout it inspired! Temps are dropping fast here in Oregon. We had a long drawn out summer and it already feels like winter, where did fall go!? I'm not ready to give it up just yet so I pulled this mood board together. The patterned paper really acts as several design elements here so I wanted that to be a big focal point for my layout. I added some simple layers and embellishments around the photo and accented the page with mist, dots and rub-ons. I have gone pretty embellishment heavy here, and combined with the paper, I tried to balance that out by keeping the overall design fairly simple. Supplies Used: Jubilee Adventure Flair Buttons , Jubilee Awesome Mixed Bag , Jubilee Hey You Rubons , Jubilee Story Rubons , Second City Chipboard Shapes , Retro Wood Drop Stickers , Now & Then Mildred Oh Happy Day Alpha/Tiny Words Are you inspired by these colors? I'd love to

Fave Food Layout

Hey, it's Shawna today with an 8.5x11 layout share.  I used the awesome Basic Grey Second City 6x6 papers, and feathers. You don't see a lot of neat scrapbook collections with purple in them so i was really excited to give this a try. Another product from the store that i used is the My Mind's Eye letter stickers. These are so great and versatile for all your projects.  Here is a look at the page. This is my daughter at The Cheesecake Factory having one of her favorite meals.  Thanks so much for stopping by the blog today!

Holidays with Avery Elle!!!

Hello Everyone!! Piali here!! Today I have few holiday cards to share. I've only used Avery Elle products for these card. Love all the fabulous Avery Elle Stamps & Dies available in Butterfly Reflections,Ink store!! First card is a super fun one... I used  North Pole  stamp set for this card. I did a bit of stamp surgery...its perfectly okay thing to do with clear stamps. I cut apart the HOHOHO sentiment from the Santa hat and used it to create my background. I used Avery Elle- Silver Fox ink for the background....I looove this ink color!!! Isn't this Santa a cutest one!! I colored the Santa image with Copics. Applied Glossy Accents on the boots and Stickles on the white trims. The sentiment is from Avery Elle- Joy to the World set, heat embossed it with WOW white embossing powder. Next card is a masculine one... Its will be perfect for the male teachers or to send doctors office or any other official contacts. I used Avery

Thanksgiving Chalkboard Menu

My mother in law hosts Thanksgiving every year and I thought this year I would make her a hostess gift. I saw these cute little chalkboard easels at Michaels and knew that would be perfect! I decorated the chalkboard menu with the Lawn Fawn Stitched Leaves Lawn Cuts and the Lawn Fawn Turkey Day stamp set. I also used Zing! embossing powder in Aqua and Apricot .  At the top of the easel, I put the Bistro Chalk Marker . It fits perfectly right there without rolling off and without being visible from the front. She will be able to write her menu and make any additions or changes as the day goes on, as people bring in dishes or as some dishes get eaten!  Thanks for stopping by!  Cheri

Merry Christmas: Using Word Dies

Hello crafty friends. Today I have a card where I challenged myself to use the WPlus9 Handlettered Holiday Dies in a new way. I've already used the die in the most basic way in a previous post but for today's card I decided to use it as an embellishment. I love the cardinal and how he looks great without even needing to be colored. I kept it simple by going for a monochromatic look and used two different red papers from the Lawn Fawn Snow Day 6x6 pad . Lawn Fawn paper is as cute as their stamps. To get a polished clean look I used Multi Medium Matte as the adhesive on my die cut words and the Kooltak Clear Foam adhesive for the small die cut elements from th

Christmas Watercolor and Heat Embossing

Hello and good morning! Samantha here, and today I am sharing a card I made, and people, I really LOVE it! :) See all that goodness? ALL of that (and about everything else that's on your MUST HAVE NOW list!) can be found in the Butterfly Reflections Ink shop ! Ok, let's get to the card! I used some Tim Holtz watercolor paper for my base, and then heat embossed everything! YES!! I finally have in my possession the Ranger Liquid Platinum embossing powder ! Swoon, it's perfect! Ha! Then I used some Distress Markers to color in that AWESOME origami style world map! It is from Neat and Tangled and just might be the best stamp set ever!! I decided to make it a Christmas card, so I used lots of shades of reds/pinks and greens for the color! Then I also added a smidge of the lightest shade of blue watercolor around the sentiment! The sentiment is another Neat and Tangled stamp set - Winter Wishes. So that's my card! Now, it's Saturday, take a sip
