Super Easy Coloring

Hey Butterfly Reflections Ink fans! Kelly Fusco here.... thesunshinecrafter I enjoy and appreciate color but I struggle with coloring, like many people.  So for this card Im using the "flick" method.  I used Gina K "Caring Flowers" stamp set & Waffle Flowers Deckled frames dies for this card.  To start I stamped my image with Memento Tuxedo Black onto 110lb Neenah. I used copics: BG11,BG32,BG34 & BG15 BV01,BV02  RV21,RV23,RV25  & a wee bit of YG13 for the leaves.  Here you can see the flick coloring and for the stamen which got drowned out from the markers I added White Gelly Roll pen. When you color using flicks you leave some white space and you don't have to be perfect or worry about blending. Whoo hoo. Thats for me! After I finished my coloring I used Versafine Onyx (pigment ink) for my sentiment and I added Hero Arts Clear Embossing powder on top, heated n melted it.  I die cut my panel with the...

Happy Easter Card by Sara

Hi BRI friends, Sara here! I am back with a new card, inspired by the current BRI Mood Board Challenge . Every month is a personal challenge, I usually love the color palette but when it comes to use it...I’m afraid! And this month was no exception! I loved the color combo but I didn’t know what to create. So I put out all my stamps and...I had the idea! Those colors are perfect for a spring and happy scene! When I have to come up with ideas, I usually scroll my Instagram feed (there are so many talented crafters, there is always a great inspiration out there!) and I search on Pinterest. Not necessarily to find images or illustrations, but also for color palettes. Well, I found an illustration that worked great with the stamp I wanted to use. I love this bear from Neat and Tangled , it is called “ All the bunnies ”. I’ve recently read that this company will close and I’m really sad about it. But there are a few of this still in stock!...

I'd Hug You...but social distancing...

Hello!  It has been super long since I've "seen" you all and let me tell you it is a welcome sight for sure.  I am sure I am not alone in this whole "I'm going crazy being confined to my own area" thing.  It is absolutely unusual and hard for sure.  So I went with something simple.  Mainly because it is something easy to create and recreate if you'd like.  Here is a simple tag to enjoy.  Here are the step by step instructions so that you can recreate it yourselves. Stamp the images from the Let's Stick Together stamp set by My Favorite Things using Gina K Amalgam Ink.   Color them with your choice of Copic markers.  Add finishing touches to images with a white gel pen . Using the Coordinating dies for Let's Stick Together , cut out the images.  Cut the tag from the Scallop Square Tag Dies by Pretty Pink Posh.    Stamp sentiment on top of the tag and adhere images with foam adhesive.  Wrap twine around th...

Tagging Time

Hey there!!  Super happy that the weather here is finally cooling down.  It was only in the high 80's this week.  I can keep hoping right?  Well to help me feel cooler here I set out to create my favorite things to make.  Tags.  Who doesn't like a great tag right?? So here are a few cute little tags I made: Here is how I created the tags: I stamped each penguin image from the Little Penguin Agenda stamp set and colored them with my Copic markers and cut them out with the .  I then die cut tags from the Scallop Tag Trio ,  and other tags dies I had on hand.  Using Gina K Amalgam ink I stamped the sentiments from Mini Merry Sentiments onto each tag.  I adhered the images with thin foam adhesive and then tied the baker's twine to finish them off.    If you notice my last tag has an image from the Little Reindeer Agenda set. I had one already colored in my stash. Love it still! I love how they turned out an...

SO SO SO in LOVE!

Hey there everyone!  It's been a while, but I am over the top excited to be with you today!  Here in AZ summer is still going strong.  The temps are well over 100 everyday and the only thing keeping me sane is creating things with a cooler theme. Today I am sharing one of those creations.  I saw the Lawn Fawn release and just went all googly eyed over it.  Without further ado, here is what I made: Here is how I made the card step by step. 1. First I stamped the images from the Lawn Fawn Spooky Village with Gina K Amalgam ink and colored all them with Copics and die cut them out with the coordinating Lawn Fawn Spooky Village dies . 2.  I die cut the background using the Lawn Fawn Flipping Awesome Add-On dies and inked it up with Wild Honey Oxide Ink , Picked Raspberry Oxide Ink , Seedless Preserves Oxide Ink and Chipped Sapphire Distress Ink. 3. I then created a strip of "grass" using the scalloped die in the Flipping Awesome die, inked it w...

Get Crafty!

Crafting makes everything better! Kathy here to share a couple cards created with Gina K Designs Crafty Notes stamp set . This awesome set makes my heart so happy - it contains images of all the crafty tools I love to play with!   For my first card, I layered Lawn Fawn Black cardstock onto the cardbase.  I then cut circles from Lawn Fawn White cardstock using Waffle Flower Stitched Nesting Circles dies ; offsetting the die cuts.  I stamped and copic colored the craft images popping them up on and around the circle die cuts.  I then stamped the images using VersaFine Onyx Black Ink Pad .   For my second card, I layered Lawn Fawn Black cardstock onto the cardbase.  I then layered on a piece of Lawn Fawn White cardstock and blended some Antique Linen Distress Oxide Ink with the Mini Ink Blending Tool .  I stamped and copic colored several of the Crafty Notes images and arranged them.  To finish, I stamped the sentiment (my man...

Gina K Designs

Happy Friday Friends!! It is  Dana  here today sharing a card perfect for Easter, or anytime. I am using the  Gina K Wreath Builder Stamp & Stencil  for my project. Are you familiar with these products? They are so clever and easy to use! I started by placing my  Gina K Wreath Builder Template Stencil  in my  Original MISTI . Next, I placed a 4x4 inch piece of white cardstock in the stencil. I used the  Gina K Original Wreath Builder Stamp Set  for all of my floral images. I just kept adding more and more images to build my desired wreath. The stencil keeps everything lined up perfectly, so easy! Here is what my wreath looked like as I was building it: To make my A2 card, I cut my 4x4 wreath in half. I attached my wreath to the top and bottom of my card mat. Next, I added a white and gray strip of cardstock to the center of my card (this covers the gap that was created from cutting my wreath in half). For my sentim...

A Birdie Christmas

Well Hello!  Today I am sharing a super quick and easy card with you.  I am a big believer in simple and quick sometimes.  I find myself more often going the long way around a card rather than keeping it easy.  One good way is to use a sketch!  Did you know that many manufacturers will post challenges to inspire their customers.  My Favorite Things is no different.  I used one of their past sketches to make this card.  So let's get to how I made it. I created a card base and cut a small piece of cardstock from Lawn Fawn Really Rainbow Christmas 6x6 Paper Pad  and adhered it to the card.  I stamped the images from the My Favorite Things Tweet Holiday set with Gina K Amalgam ink .  I then colored them with copic markers and using the coordinating Tweet Holiday Dies , cut the images out.  I stamped the sentiment from the same stamp set on a strip of white cardstock and adhered it to the card.  I then adhe...

Season's Greetings!

Yay it's Tuesday!  That means it's my turn on the blog.  I have been eyeing these super cute stamps by Hello Bluebird since I saw sneaks of them.  Truly.  I told Vanessa that these were a must have.  I was right.  Let's get to the instructions on how I made this card. First I made an A2 card base with white cardstock.  I then took a piece of 110 lb white cardstock and blended Dried Marigold, Spun Sugar and Dusty Concord Oxide Inks to create the background.  I trimmed down the background to 3 3/4 x5"and adhered it to the card base.  Next I stamped the cute images from North Pole Littles  with Gina K Amalgam Ink , colored them with copic markers and used the coordinating North Pole Littles Dies to cut them out.   I used Lawn Fawn Stitched Hillsid e dies to create a snowbank out of white cardstock which I trimmed and adhered to the card.   Using thin foam adhesive squares I adhered all the cute images t...

Merry & Bright Card with Jess

Hey friends! It's Jess and I'm back with a totally non-traditional Christmas card for you today. This card contains a ton of products from different companies - It was so fun mixing and matching to come up with my final design! To get started, I used my Wreath Builder bundle from Gina K. I stamped a few of the different floral images in Hero Arts Shadow Inks (Soft Granite, Navy, and Dusty Blue). This template is SO easy to use and I was impressed with how quickly and simply my wreath came together. Once I stamped my images, I dusted a little color around the wreath in Faded Jeans Distress ink just so the paper wouldn't be solid white. Next, I grabbed the Plaid Background stamp from Concord & 9th and stamped the large image in Soft Granite. I added the lines with Raven Detail Ink from Brutus Monroe. I blended on Faded Jeans Distress Ink and I cut a circle from this background, but I did this in a place that wouldn't show when I layered my cardstock with ...

Thanks a Bushel!

Well hello!  So glad to be here with you today.  I have to say I am loving fall.  It finally feels like fall here in AZ.  We've been getting a lot of rain and just beautiful weather here.  So I wanted to dig into my stash of favorite stamps that have a fall theme.  I grabbed some of the good ones.  These sets are both from Lawn Fawn but they are so great!  Here is what I made with them: I love these two sets.  One is Thanks a Bushel and the other is Cutie Pie .  So great for fall.  Here is how I made it.  First, I cut a square from patterned paper and adhere it to a square card front.  I stamped the images with Gina K. Amalgam Ink and then colored them with copics.  I then used the coordinating dies for Cutie Pie and Thanks a Bushel and cut them out.  Next I used a square die cut and adhered it to the patterned paper.  Using foam adhesive, I adhered the images to the card front.  I then st...

July Mood Board Inky Inspirations

Happy Wednesday, everyone! Hope your week is going well! Today I went a little crazy with the AWESOME July Mood Board from Butterfly Reflections, Ink and made a ton of cards with that as my inspiration. In case you haven't seen it, here's the mood board for this month. Loving it, right?! So for today's post, I'm going to start talking about all of the different inks I used. I wanted to make a variety of cards with a variety of techniques so I chose  Distress Oxide Inks  (with one regular distress ink in there, too), Hero Arts Dye Inks, and new to me,  Catherine Pooler  Inks. Below is a picture with all of the colors that I chose. Let's start with the  Catherine Pooler  inks,  Stone Blue,   Skylight ,  Polished , and  Rose Petals . As I said, this was my first time using these inks and I was SO EXCITED because so many people say wonderful things about them. And let me tell you, they're all true! I really appreciate that y...
