Unicorn Candyland Valentine's Card

Hi everyone! Peggy here for more Valentine's inspiration! Today I am showing you a combination of Lawn Fawn and Heffy Doodle stamp sets, they just match so well! I recently got my very first Heffy Doodle set called Sweet Stuff and I already know this is a brand that could become a new addiction for me. The macaron and cake pop in the set reminded me of Willy Wonka's chocolate factory, so I made a candy land out of it for these unicorns to run around in! I started by stamping my images in Lawn Fawn Jet Black ink from the Heffy Doodle Sweet Stuff, and Lawn Fawn All the Clouds , Unicorn Picnic and A Little Sparkle . I colored them with my copic markers and added some highlights using a white jelly roll pen . I cut two identical panels from white cardstock using Lawn Fawn Outside In Stitched Rectangle Stackables . The first panel forms the background, which I distressed with Picked Raspberry and Spun Sugar Distress Oxide inks. The second panel I cut into cloudy borders using th...

XOXO I like you (a lotl)

Hi everyone! Peggy here! Today I'm sharing a card with the incredibly sweet axolotl from the latest Lawn Fawn release. And he brought a friend <3 This set is called I like you (a lotl) and 'Axo Axo I like you a lotl' immediately popped into my head. Let me show you what products I used to create this card! I started by stamping out the cute images in this mini set a couple of times with Lawn Fawn Jet Black ink and colored them with my copic markers (YR, R for the axolotls and BG for the plants). I used the coördinating dies to cut out the images. I used Lawn Fawn Finley' s ABCs to cut out the XOXO and I distressed the letters with Distress Oxide Tattered Rose and Worn Lipstick to match the critters. I put some glitter on the letters with Nuvo Glitter Drops Orange Soda . Next, I created my background by using the Cloudy Stencil upside down (I don't own the Ocean Wave Stencils yet) to stretch my supplies. I used Distress Oxide Pine Needles , Mermaid Lagoon and...

Bear Hugs

Hello everyone! It's Ashley back to guest post again! Vanessa just can't seem to get rid of me! Today I have a super cute card for you using the Bear Friends set from Pretty Pink Posh. It's perfect for Valentine's Day or just because! Look how cute those bears are! I started my card with a pink background in honor of Valentine's Day. I blended Picked Raspberry and Spun Sugar Distress Oxides, fading into white towards the center. I then splattered it with water and gold watercolor for a bit of shine. I used the bushes from the Hello Bluebird Pond Builder dies for a bit more background interest. I blended Distress Oxides in Fossilized Amber and Wild Honey for a golden color, then splattered with two different gold watercolor paints from the Starry Colors palette by Gansai Tambi.  For the trees, I used the Hello Bluebird Birch Tree dies with white cardstock, then I made my grass with another die in the Hello Bluebird Pond Builder set. I used...

I Love You a Latte

Hi, BRI friends! It's Dana from Dana G.Crafts and I'm so glad to meet you here as a design team member. Thank you so much for having me, Vanessa! My first DT creation I'd like to share today is shaker card. Putting multi shakers in one card is one of my crafty major and here is what I came up with :) To begin, I stamped coffee cup from Avery Elle Cool Beans stamp set with Versafine Onyx Black onto bristol paper and stamped one more onto Inkadikado Stamping Masking Paper . I fussy cut masked image using scissors and adhered it on the stamped image. I then masked background panel using wide post-it and ink blended with Lawn Fawn dye ink. I used Minty Fresh (top left), Peach Keen (top right), Guava (bottom left) and Sugarplum (bottom right). I repeated this process 4 times. Next, I die cut cups using coordinating die set, Avery Elle Cool Beans Elle-ments for shaker window. I colored cup images with copic markers. I then traced window part using pencil on ano...

Love Puffin Valentines

Hello! I am thrilled that Vanessa and the other ladies asked me to fill in for a little longer! Now that the Christmas holidays are over, I'm moving on to the next winter holiday...Valentine's Day! My husband and I don't celebrate Valentine's Day, but I love to give little valentine cards to him and my friends and family anyway! Puffins are one of my most favorite animals and when I saw the  Love Puffin  set from Avery Elle I knew I would be making a set of valentines with it! I started by cutting cardstock to make 4-bar sized cards and then masked off 3/4 of an inch on both sides. I used various colors of  Distress Ink  and a blending tool to blend a gradient of color up the middle of my cards. I stamped the puffin onto watercolor cardstock using  Versafine Onyx Black  ink and watercolored them with Distress Inks mixed with Perfect Pearls. Of course there are matching  dies , but I ended up fussy cutting these little guys. I cut out stitche...

Create A Smile - Copic's and Colored Pencils

Hey folks! I'm back today to share a couple of really fun cards with you! I really enjoy taking one stamp set and try out a couple of different ideas. The Create A Smile Color Your Heart Out Stamp Set is perfect for this. It has loads of Images that you could use with so many different mediums. I dig it. For my first card, I started by stamping my Images with Momento Tuxedo Black Ink masking some of them off with Inkadinkado Stamping Mask Paper . You could totally color these in any colors you want, but I decided to Copic color them in a rainbow. I stamped the Images down the center of my Card Panel, but I decided to trim down both sides and adhere it to a My Favorite Things Gravel Grey Card Base. I also added a strip of Ranger Metal Silver Foil Tape . For my second card, I wanted to use the same Image from the Set , but this time, I heat embossed the Hearts with Versamark Ink and Hero Arts White Embossing Powder . I used Tombow Irojiten Color Dictionary Col...

My Favorite Things - It Was Always You

Hey folks! Stopping in today to share another card with you! I have so many plans for the new My Favorite Things All Heart Stamp Set. There are soo many awesome images in it! This time, I kept it short and sweet. I stamped the Largest Heart from set with  Momento Tuxedo Black Ink , diagonally. I stamped another one on a scrap piece of cardstock and use the coordinating die from the Die-namics All Heart Die Set . I colored them all in with  Copic's . Honestly peeps, you could choose any colors or any medium. I planned on only adding the shading to the Grey Hearts to make them look clear, but I changed my mind and went all in. I covered them all with a healthy dose of Clear Wink of Stella . I didn't add anymore embellishments because in person, the WOS makes is super duper blingy and I didn't want anything competing with that. Using Versafine Black Onyx Ink and Hero Arts Clear Embossing Powder , I heat embossed the Sentiment and also cut down a strip of My Fa...
