Just Wanted to Say Hello!

Hello there! Amber here with a quick card to share with you today :) I've been playing with my Altenew Halftone Hello stamp set again, can't put it down! I paired it with MME's On Trend papers from the 6x6 pad. I love these papers, they all have gold foil accents, they're so pretty! I cut the chat bubble with MFT's Stitched Speech Bubble die and stamped the sentiment. I used Hero Arts Ombre inks for the hello, it's the mint to teal pad, so gorgeous! The arrows and heart are from the On Trend Mixed Bag Die Cuts.   The gold scallops were cut from foil cardstock with the Lawn Fawn Scalloped Border Lawn Cuts! That's all I have today, thanks for popping in!

A Layout of A Year Gone By

Hello, hello! Samantha here! I'm so excited to share this super fun layout I made today, using lots of goodies from the Butterfly Reflections Ink shop ! :) First, I used lots of distress inks to create the watercolored rainbow on some plain white cardstock! That was enough fun, right there! SO love it! I used a cute file and my Silhouette to layer the light grey woodgrain paper on top of that. I have to say, that woodgrain paper is a FAVORITE of mine, muy muy much! :) It's from the older My Mind's Eye Cut and Paste collection ! I layered the photo over a clear glycene bag and a doily (from the dollar store! ha!) and popped it up for dimension. I used some of my favorite black Thickers and tiny alphas to create the title and then HAD to stitch them on, of course! :) Some of the embellishments I used to color match along the rainbow include the AMAZING Pinkfresh Studio chevrons, Simple Stories I Am Collection faux brads and a flair from Create a Smile

Relatives

Hi! It's Rubeena on the blog today. I have been anxious to play with My Favorite Things' I Knead You set for the longest! It's back in stock at the store if you want to grab one for yourselves. All the cats are sooo cute! When I first started, I stamped and colored a few of the cats but when I went to die-cut them, they came out crooked...::insert sad face::. My other option was to die-cut blank pieces and then stamp to the best of my ability and color them again. I also stamped and colored two of the balls of yarn. Putting the card together required some thinking. I kept wondering what kind of 'scene' to create. These cats looked silly to me, so when I saw this sentiment, I thought it would go well with the bunch. The phrase "you make up for my relatives" comes from the Friends Like Us set. I think it's a must-have in everyone's stash! :-) The pattern paper I used came from this amazing paper pad . The foiled look is gorgeous! I die-c

Happy Birthday Dad!

Good morning!  Heather  here from  Houses Built of Cards !  I'm here this morning sharing  the card I made for my dad's birthday last week - he turned 70! Definitely a big one that needed to be celebrated!  We were able to pull off a surprise party for him after church Sunday before last - which was amazing! We were so happy to have been able to surprise him that way! Since this was a guy card, I wanted to make sure it was simple and masculine - which is always a challenge for me! I used some pattern paper from Crate Paper's 6x6 Journey Paper Pad - fussy cutting those chevrons out to add some fun color. I built the sentiment using Altenew's versatile Birthday Greetings Stamp set - I make more birthday cards than anything else, and I love having lots of fun options to build the sentiment I want! I used another Altenew set to stamp the "dad" to personalize it, and you might notice that I stamped out the entire birthday song by masking my sentiments a

Guest Designer Sunday (Take Two) with Audrey Tokach

To create my card, I first watercolored a piece of patterned paper from the Cosmo Cricket 8x8 Just Add Watercolor Paper pad. After the watercoloring was dry, I used the largest rectangle from the Lawn Fawn Small Stitched Rectangles to diecut a piece from the fullsize sheet. Then I used the same die to cut a piece of white cardstock. I placed the Paper Smooches Butterfly Duet dies where I wanted them on the white cardstock and ran that through my diecut machine. Then I added the flight trails using the Paper Smooches Stitched Flourishes dies. I diecut the butterflies again, this time from vellum. I then adhered the watercolor piece to the back of the white diecut panel so that the watercolor would show through the die cut openings. Using a glue pen, I added a few dots of glue to the bodies of the vellum butterflies and glued them onto the watercolor piece. I placed acrylic blocks on top of the butterflies until I knew that the glue was dry, and then carefully folded up the wings

Rainbow Flutter - Sharna W.

Hello again, its Sharna from Sharna Anne Designs So I grabbed up the new WPlus9 release that came out. Along with the kitties I picked up " A New Day " set to water color with. Below is what happened, on accident haha! So I first embossed the stamp with some liquid platinum embossing powder by Wow. Its so gorgeous but its hard to photograph how soft and lovely the color is. I choose to leave off a sentiment so I can use it for any occasion. I used a whole bunch of colors of distress ink on this. The background is Cracked Pistachio  and Mermaid Lagoon and the rest of the colors are a blend of mini kit 1 . When I say this was an accident I mean it. I started to pain the bird in yellow and red and things mixed with the background colors and so I just went with it. I just love how it came out! Just proves the happy accident idea. Supplies: A New Day stamp  liquid platinum embossing powder Cracked Pistachio distress ink Mermaid Lagoon distress ink Mini kit 1 dist

Happy Meowday

Hello, Emily here.  Today i'm sharing with you another card featuring Neat & Tangled's  Meowwwww stamp set .   First i die cut the flowers from a Poppy Stamp die called Flower Patch and glued them randomly on the card base using glossy accents .  Then i stamped, colored and fussy cut the cats.  I used Copic markers on these cuties.  Next, i placed them so it looks like they were catching the cascading flowers.  I colored the flowers next to the cats with Copic colors, and Wink of Stella on the others.  My sentiment was stamped and adhered on the card base using foam tape . Tips : when applying the adhesive on the cats' tail and flowers, i used Fineline Fluid Pen .  The application was precise, no mess.  I highly recommend this pen for glossy accents .   Thank you so much for stopping by.  Please visit Butterfly Reflections, Ink store for the products use on this card.

Narwhals, Narwhals...

Good morning, Jessica here!  If the title of my post didn't immediately put a catchy little melody into your head, you should head  here and watch this first!  Then my card will make a little more sense! Butterfly Reflections Ink is officially the first U.S. store to carry Create a Smile stamps and Vanessa received her first shipment last week!  I was SO excited to get the newest Underwater Love stamp set in the mail yesterday that I dropped my original card idea for today and went a little narwhal crazy! Here's my card: Aren't those narwhals adorable!?!  I stamped them with Memento Tuxedo Black ink , colored them with copic markers, fussy cut them, and added googly eyes.  Then I set them aside to work on the rest of my card. I started off by blending Chipped Sapphire and Mermaid Lagoon distress ink onto a piece of white cardstock and used a piece of post-it tape to create the line for the horizon.  While that was drying I ripped several pieces of white

Happy Mother's Day

Hello! Rubeena here with a card featuring Altenew and WPlus9 products. Mother's Day will be here before you know it so I got started on the cards early. This was so simple and did not take up too much time! I stamped two of the images from Altenew's Persian Motifs onto vellum and heat embossed it in gold. With watercolor markers, I colored on the back side of the images so that they created a light look. I colored some on the front to give part of it a darker look. Then I used the Persian Motifs dies to cut them out. I positioned them onto the cardstock so I could figure out where I would stamp the sentiment. Once I decided on that, I used the "Happy Mother's Day" sentiment from WPlus9's Strictly Sentiments 4 . I just LOVE the script font from their sets. I stamped it in Versamark and heat embossed it in gold. I added the images with small pieces of foam tape to give it dimension. Instead of sequins, I decided to use Irresistable Pico Embellis

Happy Birthday Bird

Good morning!  Heather  here from  Houses Built of Cards  to share a lovely spring card with you! I fell in LOVE with this sweet image from Wplus9 called A New Day as soon as I saw it - and couldn't wait to get it inky when my order arrived from Butterfly Reflections (in an amazing 2 days I might add!). For this card, I stamped both the bird, and my sentiment from Altenew's Birthday Greeting stamp set in Versamark ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder on some vellum. I used some pattern paper from Crate Paper's Craft Market 6x6 paper pad , tore the edges of one piece, and machine stitched the vellum onto it, then added a line of machine stitching on the background piece as well. I trimmed some pieces off a doily and tucked it underneath on the top and bottom and added a bit of jute twine tied in a bow. Finished off with some White Enamel Dots . Thanks for stopping by today!

a Layout inspired by the April Mood Board

Hello and happy Sunday! Samantha here, and today I am sharing a layout (that I just LOVE), which was inspired by the amazing April Mood Board ! Oh yeah! I am a HUGE fan of mood boards, and Amanda has not yet created a mood board that I am not head over heals in LOVE with, yet! I used a TON of products for layout, and I'm not sorry about it! Ha! I started with some patterned paper for the background, and did my best to transform and enhance it! I heat embossed in white the beautifully scripted My Favorite stamp set from Neat and Tangled all over the layout! Then, I added watercoloring around the heat embossing in various blue Distress Inks ! LOVE that look! I also added some translucent embossing paste with an  MFT heart stencil to the background! It's subtle, but I LOOOOOOOVE the texture of it, and how it catches the light!  Now for the many embellishments, I'll make it brief, I promise! Ha! The thickers are MY FAVORITE ever!!! I LOOOOOOOV

Smart Kitty! - Sharna W.

I just picked up the new WPlus9 set Smart Kitties. I'm a sucker for any kitty stamp set but this one was to adorable not to use right away. So many different uses for graduation, encouragement and so on. But this set is so diverse as well with lots of different supporting images to build scenes with. I will be grabbing this one a lot for sure! I used copics to color this sweet guy with in warm grays. He is W1, W3 & a tiny bit of W5. His ears are filled with R20. The books and tie B00, B23, B32; BV01, BV04; C1, C3. Products Used: Smart Kitty by WPlus9 Smart Kitty Dies Love Showers Layers Dies Lawn Fawn Lets Polka 6x6 pad

You're Purrfect!

Hello, Today i'm sharing another card made with Neat & Tangled stamp set.  This adorable set is called MEOWWWWW .   I started out with die cutting a rectangle window, then masked my card base to match the size of that window.  Next, i stamped the speech bubble and masked it.  I used distress ink to create the blue night sky.  I stamped, colored my cat with Copic markers, and fussy cut it.  Finally, i added glittered stars, glossy accent on the heart, adhered my die cut window, and mount it my cat on the window frame using foam tape.  Lastly, stamped the sentiment. Thanks for visiting! Supplies : Stamps: Neat & Tangle ( Meowwwww ) Others : Glossy Accents , Fineline Fluid Pen

Hello Friend!

Hey'o!! Amber here today with a quick card sharing some new Altenew!! This is a pretty new-to-me stamp company and I'm really loving the sets I've bought so far! You might have seen this fun little card set I created earlier this week for my blog, but if not, here's another quick share! I watercolored some pieces of cardstock and then stamped the florals from Persian Motifs in a tone-on-tone ink. Next I white embossed the Hello sentiment from Halftone Hello . The "how are you" sentiments are also from Halftone Hello . Here's another super quick card I put together using the same two sets! I really like this one because it's so simple! I just stamped the florals from Persian Motifs and kept them black and white. I added the lime green cardstock for a pop of color and the Hello is from Avery Elle's Simply Said Hello Elle-mentals . I really love that font and the huge size! The "my friend" is also from Halftone Hello

Belated Birthday Snail

Good morning, Jessica here!  I'm a huge fan of Lawn Fawn stamps and I was so excited to pick up the adorable Gleeful Gardens set from Butterfly Reflections Ink !  I love the snail and thought he would make a cute belated birthday card! I started off by cutting the frame with the My Favorite Things Inside and Out Diagonal Stitched Rectangle STAX from white cardstock and stamping the sentiment with Memento Tuxedo Black ink .  Then I cut the clouds from the WPlus9 Sunshine Layers die with the leftover white cardstock.  I also stamped the flowers, grass, snail, and present with the same leftover piece of cardstock (yay for not wasting paper!) using Memento Tuxedo Black ink so that I could color them with copic markers.  After I colored the images I went over the clouds, flowers, snail shell, and present with a ton of clear wink of stella glitter .  You can see how much the snail sparkles!  I also added googly eyes to the snail for a little more dimension. I took a little

Out of This World

Good morning, friends! It's Rubeena here from a rare ruby , featuring Altenew today. This was really fun and simple to make. If you don't know by now, I love creating backgrounds with distress inks! Different combinations create unique looks for skies. For this card, I used Black Soot, Chipped Sapphire, Stormy Sky, Shaded Lilac and Victorian Velvet. I took white cardstock and created this background with round blending foams, starting from the lightest to darkest and then darkest to lightest. I spray white ink spray and shimmer spray over the background once it's done to cover those slight imperfections. It'll take some practice for me to get it right without those circle outlines. :) I stamped the large circle from Altenew's To The Moon and stamped it in white pigment ink on the top right of the colored background. Ever since this set came out, I've been dying to play with it! You may not be able to see it in the pictures but I stamped one of the moon l

Stuck on You

Good morning!  Heather  here from  Houses Built of Cards !  I'm here this morning sharing  this card using some  Lawn Fawn ,  Crate Paper , and  Hero Arts  goodies: I had tried the new  Hero Arts Ombre inks  right when I received them, but for some reason I didn't love them at first. I was determined to try again - and SOOOO glad I did, because I am officially in LOVE with them! They were so fun to use on this card! I pulled out  Lawn Fawn's Stitched Journal die  to cut my background, them used  Lawn Fawn's Stuck on You stamp set  to stamp everything out. Added a bit of a shadow under the pots with a couple Copic markers, then layered lots of pattern paper from  Crate Paper's Craft Market 6x6 paper pad  underneath, curling up some of the edges for extra dimension, then attaching the front panel with foam adhesive. Added some jute twine, and a few  enamel dots  to finish it off! Thanks for stopping by today!

Guest Designer Sunday with Audrey Tokach

Hello! My name is Audrey, and I am a native Philadelphian living in Florida with my two beautiful boys and my handsome husband of almost 14 years. I am an artsy, coffee drinking, animal lover. My love for art started as a child... I hopped from hobby to hobby but had never quite found my creative niche. I started scrapbooking in 2001 when I was pregnant with my oldest son, and after a few years, I was introduced to stamping and card making. It was immediate love! Whimsical, cutesy images are my favorite and could spend hours and hours coloring with my Copic markers. When I am not creating, I am spending time with my boys, loving on my animals, or searching Pinterest and Instagram for inspiration for my next creative project. I am just thrilled to be joining the Butterfly Reflections Ink gang this month! I hope you'll stop by my blog for a visit! :) To create my card, I started off with a piece of blue chevron patterned paper from the Avery Elle Everyday Collection 6x6 paper

You Are My Most Favorite

Hello, Emily here with a card using Neat & Tangled stamp.  First i die cut a piece of vellum, then i stamped and embossed my sentiment in gold.  Next i used the stencil and created the starry background on my card base.  I chose Rangers Picked Raspberry, Mustard Seed, and Shabby Shutters inks for my stars.   My embossed vellum was adhered directly on the starry background.   Thanks for kind comments and feedback! Supplies : Stamps: Neat & Tangled ( My Favorite ) Others: Memory Box stencil ( Starry Nights ), EK Tools ( embossing power applicator )
