You Are So Sweet

Hello everyone and happy August! It's Ashley today with a card featuring the cutest little bunny! Look how adorable he is with his cookie! I started by stamping the pile of cookies from Evelin T. Designs Coffee Loving Critters in Lawn Fawn Jet Black ink on my card and a piece of masking paper . I cut out my mask and covered the cookies before stamping the other three images onto my card with the Jet Black ink. I created masks for those images and covered them as well so I could ink blend my background. I used Post It tape to mask off the bottom part of my card with a straight line. I grabbed my blender brushes to keep the colors soft and blended Lawn Fawn inks in Minty Fresh , Mermaid , and Deep Sea around my images. When my blending looked how I wanted, I removed the masks and colored my images with Copic markers . I trimmed an eighth of an inch off of each side and added some stitching using the second biggest die in the Lawn Fawn Just Stitching Double Rectan...

One layer card with Newton's Nook stamp set

Hello lovelies and welcome to my next post, it's Mona here! If you are my follower, you know that I am a Cat lover, so today I am showing you a one layer birthday card with cute kitties. For my card I used the Newton Loves Boxes stamp set from Newton's Nook Design. First I stamped my sideway kitties with boxes, to my card, then I masked them and stamped the center kitty. I masked all my images and blended my card with Tattered Rose , Worn Lipstick , Candied Apple Distress Oxide inks and Mini Ink Blending Tool . Then I made splatters with the already mentioned Distress Oxide inks and white watercolor. I removed the masking and colored the images with Copic Markers. At the end I added some final touches with Uni-Ball Signo White and the card was ready. Thanks you so much for stopping, hope you enjoyed it. :) See you next Monday. Love, Mona

MFT Otterly Love You + Distress Ink Blending

Hey folks! It's been ages since I've been here on the Butterfly Reflections Ink Blog! I am so happy to be stopping by to share another card with you! Show of hands of who thinks otters are the cutest thing ever! I've been hoarding the My Favorite Things Otterly Love You Stamp Set for awhile, but thought it was time to show it some love. To start my card, I cut a a nice of white cardstock down to 5"x5". Then using my MISTI Stamping Tool , I stamped all of my images with My Favorite Things Black Licorice Hybrid Ink . I used the otters, rocks and fish from the Otterly Love You Stamp Set . The turtle and the seaweed are from My Favorite Things Mermazing Stamp Set . I didn't do a lot of masking in terms of stamping all of the images, I needed masks for all of them anyway, because I wanted to do some ink blending on the bottom for the "lake bed" and the top to make this guys look like they are in water. Using a Ranger Mini Ink Blending Tool, ...

Say it with Florals

Hi there! Crystal here with a very floral card featuring the newest release from Pink Fresh Studios! This set is absolutely gorgeous and really fun to work with. The various petals allow for layering and the variety of sentiments are awesome.  To make this card I began by trimming a yellow card stock to be my background. I stamped the sentiment in black ink. Next, the white card stock was die cut with Pretty Pink Posh Scallop Borders Die. Now to the fun stamping part: All flowers were stamped with the following Altenew Crisp Inks in alternating order. Buttercream, Warm Sunshine, Caramel Toffee, Paper Bag. The leaves were stamped in Olive and Moss .   I simply love one layer cards as they don't require extra postage. This pattern of florals reminds me of sweet summer days. That is all for me today, I hope you enjoy the weekend and get some crafty time! Crystal

One Layer Cards | Two Ways | Rainbow Edition

Hi Friends!   Kari  back with you today sharing some rainbow goodness!  First, before I get started with today's post, I would like to take a moment and thank all of the men and women in uniform on this Memorial Day who sacrifice themselves on the daily, so my family and I can live a life of freedom.  Today is a day to remember and reflect, but honestly I feel we should do this everyday don't you?!  You are all brave to serve, and I know that saying a simple thank you isn't enough compared to what you do, and what you sacrifice.   OK - so with that said - lets's move on to these One Layer Wonders :)   So if you are like me, coming up with ideas to create one layer cards can be a challenge.  So, my go-to for this when I can't think of anything else, is to create a rainbow somehow somewhere on my card.  Today, I wanted to share what I did with the  Altenew Halftone Circles  stamp set as well as the  Concord & 9th...

Ninjas Two Ways!

I have a two for one today! Two cards, totally different in style, both made using the same stamp set,  Ninja-mazing Stamp Set  from My Favorite Things. The first card is a one layer card. I stamped my images with  Momento Tuxedo Black Ink  and created a scene by masking the images with  Inkadinkado Masking Paper . To make the poor little ninja who is flying threw the air look surprised, I circled his eye with a  Uni-Ball White Gel Pen  and drew slight lines with a black pen to indicate movement. The second card is a little more involved. This one had a pull tap which moves one of these little ninja images across the card. I created the background using the  MFT Radiating Sunray Stencil  and the  MFT Hit The Slopes Die set . I also used the MFT   Blueprints 25  and  Blueprints 27 . I used  Distress Ink in Fossilized Amber  over the stenciled and applied using the  Clarity Stencil B...
