April 2022 Mood Board

Hello there, Amanda here today to share this month's mood board! I totally love the newly released Saltwater Taffy Distress Ink and after doing a paint inspired palette last month I figured why not go all distress inks this time? I'm sure most of you have the whole line of inks, you won't even have to think about how to match the colors 😉 Pink and yellow is one of my all time favorite duos so wild honey was a natural choice for me, mustard seed would also be a great option here! After I had those two colors I decided to look at the whole range and the gorgeous teal of Peacock Feathers immediately stood out to me and this is where we ended up. I love how it turned out, I hope you do too! Saltwater Taffy, Wild Honey, Tumbled Glass and Peacock Feathers Image Sources: Pinterest I can't wait to see all of your creations! March 2022 Mood Board

Hello there! Amanda here today to share this month's mood board. I had a soft purpley mauve and cool green palette in mind when I first started putting this board together but I couldn't stop thinking about my new favorite paint combo using Dina Wakley Media colors, Blackberry and Olive. From there I decided to keep it essentially a two-color palette by adding lighter and darker values from the same paint line. I pulled all the colors directly from some painted swatches and knew it was the direction I wanted to go. I absolutely love it and hope you do too! Heather, Blackberry, Olive and Fir Image Sources: Pinterest I can't wait to see all of your creations! Be sure to share on Instagram with #brimoodboard for a chance to win a $20 shop credit. January 2022 Mood Board

Hello there! Amanda here today to share this month's mood board. Can you believe another year has passed? I know last year was another hard one for a lot of us, here's to hoping 2022 sees some positive changes! I often go in to the January mood board thinking soft and airy, basically wintry but a fresh start to the year. I started down that same path this year but ended up with something a little more cozy winter cabin. And I love it! I'm really digging the mauve and butterscotch combo. It's a little fall-ish but works so well for winter too. Also, who else is thinking a solo vacation in that little yellow cabin sounds perfect right about now!??  Spun Sugar, Mauve, Butterscotch and Marine Blue Image Sources: Pinterest I can't wait to see all of your creations! November 2021 Mood Board

Hello! Amanda here today to share this month's mood board, and mood it is! I've been totally drawn to rich earthy colors lately and this palette just hits the spot with it's cozy vibes. Green has always been one of my favorite colors but I think this deep green shade that leans a little blue tops the list. And it's just a perfect match for the warm cinnamon tone in the clay color. The gray and dark midnight green act as neutrals in this palette but they also add some great visual interest. You can really play that up depending on how you use the colors. This palette is a little more masculine than my typical boards, but I think it's also going to make for some gorgeous autumn and winter creations!  Storm Gray, Baked Clay, Blue Spruce, Pine Grove Image Sources: Pinterest I hope you all love it as much as I do and I can't wait to see what you all come up with! Be sure to share your creations on Instagram with #brimoodboard for a chance to win a $20 credit to the s...

August 2021 Mood Board

Hello there! Amanda here today to share this months mood board! We're sitting primarily on the cool side of the color wheel with this palette, but we're not lacking for contrast! The light green and blue have an almost washed-out watery feel, whereas the pink and purple give you that high value intensity. I think the combo as a whole has such a great richness to it! Pistachio, Sky, Magenta and Eggplant Image Sources: Pinterest I can't wait to see what you all come up with this month! June 2021 Mood Board

Hello there! Amanda here today to share this months mood board and it's all sunshine and good vibes! The colors and overall theme of the board were inspired by the "hello" image which just screamed 'summer at the beach' to me. Does it remind anyone else of a beach ball?? I finished off the palette using a coral color with more of an orange tone for a little punch! I hope you love it! Lemonade, Aquamarine, Ultramarine and Flamingo Image Sources: Pinterest You all submitted some gorgeous cards for the May challenge, I can't wait to see what you all come up with this month! May 2021 Mood Board

Hello there! Amanda here today to share this month's mood board! I feel like I'm hitting the summer vibes a little early with this one, but I'm here for it. Anyone else dreaming of a vacation right now? ðŸ™‹ We have plans to go to Hawaii for the first time in November and I'm just hoping by the time that comes around we won't have any problems traveling. Back to the colors though, I *gasp* have a neutral for you again in this month's palette in the form of a soft sandy yellow. But not to worry! I paired it here with some bold pure hues to make for a playful and intense palette. I hope you love it! Linen, Teal, Fuchsia and Coral I loved all your springy creations with the April palette, I can't wait to see what you all come up with this month! April 2021 Mood Board

Hello there! Amanda here today to share this month's mood board. If you couldn't tell, I'm definitely still feeling the spring florals! Even though I am a fall/winter kind of girl, there is just something about spring that makes me happy. Watching the world come alive again is so refreshing (and much needed this year). This palette definitely hits that mark! The light, but still vibrant, citron and blue are so airy and fresh. Then that coral and purple come in and add so much drama. Love it! Honeydew, Robin's Egg, Passion Fruit and Violet Image Sources: Pinterest You guys rocked it with last month's colors, as you always do! I can't wait to see what you all come up with this month! March 2021 Mood Board

Hello there! Spring has sprung today with this month's mood board! Pink and yellow is one of my favorite color combos, especially when paired with orange. But, as much as I was tempted to, we're not going with orange today. I've paired a soft warm pink and bold yellow with two cool greens to create a fresh floral palette perfect for the start of the season! Peony, Daffodil, Spring Green and Evergreen Image Sources: Pinterest You guys wowed me again with your creations using last month's colors. I can't wait to see what you all come up with this month! Special Delivery with Davina

Hello crafty friends! This is my first blog post of the year with Butterfly Reflections Ink, and of course I am using the gorgeous January BRI Moodboard. If you haven’t already drooled all over these elegant and glam colors, they are Icy Mint, Powder Pink, Rose Gold , and Deep Space Blue.  I have so many different card ideas I want to create, but I still hadn’t used some of my Winter Lawn Fawn haul, as well as most of the brand new Lawn Fawn too. So I thought I’d better get to it! I used the new  Special Delivery  stamps and dies, along with the  Add On set  with the boxes and labels. I love that owl and his little mail man hat so much. I combined these images, with some bears from the winter release  Den Sweet Den , set to create a lovely snowy book delivery.  I stamped all of my images using the brown  Crunchy Leaf  in from Lawn Fawn, and copic colored my images using colors that fit the Moodboard. After die cutting the images using the coo...

January 2021 Mood Board

Hello and happy New Year! I know most of us are pretty happy to leave 2020 behind but hopefully you have something positive from it to take in to the new year. I think we're off to a good start with this month's mood board featuring a little sparkle and ice for some winter glam vibes! I love doing soft wintry colors this time of year, I always envision projects with lots of white on white texture and pops of soft color, but this year I also wanted to do something a little more New Year's Eve party. The combination of the two came together so well! I'm absolutely LOVING this palette and I hope you do too! November 2020 Mood Board

Hello there! Amanda here today to share this month's mood board. I have another fall palette for you, but this time we're going for a moodier vibe! I'm really loving the orangey-pink color (what would you call it? It was difficult to name, nothing quite fit) in this combo, especially when paired with that deep muted purple. Then you have the warm yellow to brighten things up and the almost emerald teal for that gorgeous pop of color! I just love it, it's such a cozy combo! I think it's so easy to lean towards muted shades during the season but I really wanted to keep this palette warm, rich and vivid. I think these colors will be perfect for some clean and modern designs, but I know whatever you all come up with will be awesome!  Boysenberry, Sunflower, Pumpkin and Olive Image Sources: Pinterest I can't wait to see what you all come up with using this palette! August 2020 Mood Board

Hello there! Amanda here today to share this month's mood board. Last month's color scheme was all about the heat, but now we're flipping to the other side of the spectrum and cooling things down. I haven't been camping on a lake since I was a kid but for some reason that's what this color palette makes me think of. I can just imagine late summer/early fall evenings on a secluded lake with a small private cabin and dock. Sounds perfect right about now!  Iced Melon, Aqua Sky, Steel Blue and Plum I can't wait to see what you all do with this palette! Be sure to share your creations on Instagram with #BRImoodboard, or keep an eye out for the link up over on Davina's blog, for a chance to win a $20 credit to the shop! We had so many wonderful entries for the July mood board, it's always so fun to watch what you all come up with! The random winner for July is Kavya with this adorable creation! July 2020 Mood Board

Hello there! Amanda here today to share this month's mood board and it's bringing the summer heat! While I normally gravitate towards complimentary color schemes, sometimes I like to switch it up with something more on one spectrum. While we're really just working with two colors here, orange and red, these true shades together pack a punch! Raspberry, Carrot, Spiced Orange, Chili Pepper Image Sources: Pinterest I can't wait to see what you all do with this palette! Be sure to share your creations on Instagram with #BRImoodboard, or keep an eye out for the link up over on Davina's blog, for a chance to win a $20 credit to the shop! April 2020 Mood Board

Hello there! Amanda here to share this month's mood board! I was envisioning a candy colored rainbow when I started putting this together and love the slightly retro vibe these tones give off. It makes me think of candy necklaces, nerds, and fruit stripe gum :-D And Easter is coming up, can't forget the jelly beans! I'm actually not a big fruity candy person, it's chocolate all the way for me. I'm doing my best not to eat a dozen bags of mini cadbury eggs right now, although it helps that grocery shopping is limited. Limoncello, Sherbet, Taffy, Sugarplum Image Sources: Pinterest I hope this palette inspires you to create some fabulous new projects! We love seeing what you all come up with! For a chance to win a $20 credit to the BRI shop be sure to share your creations on Instagram with #BRImoodboard or through the link up challenge that will be on  Davina's blog  soon. February 2020 Mood Board

Hello there! Amanda here today to share this month's mood board. I've been putting these color palettes together since August 2014, can you believe that!? I was looking through all of them going back to the beginning and realized I have NEVER done a Valentine's Day inspired board. How is that possible? Maybe it's because I'm not really in to the holiday but I'm not opposed to pink, hearts, and flowers! (or chocolate😉) It's been awhile since I've done a monochromatic look and thought this was the perfect opportunity, I did however decide to throw in a little silver sparkle for fun! Metallic Silver, Carnation Pink, French Rose, Poppy Red Image Sources: Pinterest I hope this palette inspires you to create some fabulous new projects! We love seeing what you all come up with! Be sure to share you creations on Instagram with #BRImoodboard or in the  Facebook Group ! And for a chance to win a $20 credit to the BRI shop, keep an eye out on  Davina...

I'm a little sad the Christmas season is over but I am excited for a year of new goals and great things to come! I don't feel like I do soft colors very often, but every time I do I just love how it turns out. I think the lightness of it just speaks to my modern aesthetic in a way. December Mood Board!

Hello there! Amanda here to share this month's mood board! Merry Christmas everyone! I hope you are all enjoying the season, it's my favorite time of year! I have been loving all the pink Christmas things I've been seeing and that was the inspiration behind the color choices this month. The pink, red and aquamarine were just a no-brainer for me but I struggled with the direction of the fourth color. After bouncing around between a couple shades of blue I changed gears and went for a classic green and I love how it turned out! Bubblegum, Cardinal Red, Aquamarine, Kelly Green Image Sources: Pinterest I hope these colors inspire you to create something new and fabulous! I can't wait to see what you all come up with! Be sure to share by linking to your projects in the comments below or on Instagram with #BRImoodboard. Don't forget, one random participant will receive a $20 credit for the shop!
