Waving Hello With Lawn Fawn .....

Happy Thursday everyone !! Mayra here with today's post .  I am loving fairies and mermaids at the moment ... <3 as you will see with my upcoming cards .  For today's card I used the Lawn Fawn  Mermaid For You stamp set .  I began by die cutting two pieces of cardstock using  My Favorite Things Die-namics Stitched Rectangle dies  .  For one of the die cut pieces I used water color paper .   I knew I would be doing a bit of water color for the background . I used Distress Inks in Chipped Sapphire ( other alternative can be Memento Luxe Nautical Blue )   Cracked Pistachio , and Peacock Feathers .  For the touches of gold I used Gansai Tambi in Bluish Gold .   As my water colored piece dried I colored in the images I would be using .  Then I die cut the scalloped base and banner from the  Neat and Tangled Scalloped Dies set  .    I then heat embossed the sentiment on...

Baby Tags featuring the We R Memory Keepers Fuse Tool!

Happy Monday! This is Kim Hamilton and I am so very excited to be sharing my first post with you for Butterfly Reflections Ink! This is making my first day back to work after a two-week break a happy one! I am sharing baby gift tags today, one of my friends is expecting and not sure what she is having so I made one of each! I used my  We R Memory Keepers Fuse Tool  for the first time and loved it! I cut my own  Tim Holtz watercolor paper  to the size of tag I wanted (2 3/4 x 4 1/4) and cut the edges with my trimmer.  I stamped my sentiments that are by  Lawn Fawn Hello Baby  with VersaMark ink and used white embossing powder. For the girl tag I used a mix of Spun Sugar, Picked Raspberry and Abandoned Coral  Distress Inks  and for the boy tag I used Peacock Feathers, Cracked Pistachio and Twisted Citron  Distress Inks .  I sprayed both tags with some water and dabbed it off. I then stamped my images by My Favorite Things...

"Redonkulous" Watercolor Ranunculus Shaker

Welcome to the Butterfly Reflections Ink blog and good Thursday to you all! I know, I know... you are almost to that 3 day weekend and you are restless in waiting. Well, I am Janette and I'm here to give you a little creative inspiration to get you there. Today, I present this fab and simple shaker card. Truly. Simple. You can do this! If you can stamp an image and hold a paint brush, you can create this card. To begin, I stamped the Beautiful Bouquet: Ranunculus  (what we have affectionately dubbed redonkulous Ranunculus) by WPlus9 on Prima Marketing watercolor paper in Versamark Ink and embossed it with clear detail powder .  I then wet an entire flower and tapped the paper with my Gansai Tambi watercolor  loaded paintbrush.  The color filled each section splendidly. I repeated this method with each subsequent section. I prefer to let my watercolor work dry naturally as you will get a more natural blending and spreading of pigment than you will by ...

Wish big...

Hello, friends!  Emily here for you on this Monday... We're so close to Christmas, but I have a non-Christmas project for you today. (I hope that's okay!!) We celebrated our niece's first birthday this past weekend, and I created a special shaker tag to adorn her gift instead of the usual card. I didn't want to spend a ton of time on it, as I knew it would probably get tossed in the trash, but I wanted something cute to decorate her gift.   Let's get started, shall we? I started with a panel of watercolor paper, which I die cut using a scalloped rectangle die. I heat embossed the sweet little princess image from Your Next Stamp's Little Darling stamp set in silver embossing powder. (Her birthday party theme was "winter ONE-derland," so how perfect is this little princess from this stamp set?!) I then heat embossed the sentiment from Create a Smile's Make a Wish stamp set in silver before I began my watercoloring. After I had completed ...

December Daily 2015 inspiration

Hey guys!   Jung  here with you today with day 1 and 2 of my December Daily album.  In case you're not familiar with December Daily, it's a mini album/journal celebrating the magic of the holiday season 25 days in December.  This is my 6th December Daily album, and I just love this project!!! I've got quite a few photos, so let's just jump right in!   For the sequin pocket, I used the new [to me]  Fuse tool  to seal the top of the pocket.  I absolutely love this tool!!!  In the past, I used to use my sewing machine or use washi tape to close the pocket.  Those methods are fine, but this tool just makes it seamless.
