Halloween Fun at Disneyland

Hi crafty friends! Growing up, I would hear about Knott's Scary Farm and vowed never to go there because I do NOT like scary Halloween stuff. So today's card is inspired by the non-scary, magical Halloween fun at Disneyland! I used mainly Lawn Fawn stamps for the images and colored them up with Copic markers. (The castle is from a different company but Lawn Fawn and MFT have castle stamps.) For the background, I ink blended the clouds with Distress Oxide ink and the MFT mini cloud stencil onto dark blue cardstock. Then I splattered liquid stardust onto the panel and let it completely dry overnight. (*Tip for using liquid stardust: I have found the best success with splattering it straight on, no diluting with water!) For the ground, I lightly ink blended some dark gray cardstock. The sentiment was heat embossed and popped up with black foam tape. Supplies used: Lawn Fawn Costume Party (and dies ) Lawn Fawn Coaster Critters (and dies ) Lawn Fawn Everyday Sentiment Banners Law...

Valentine Wishes

Good Morning! It is  Dana  here today with a Valentine's Day card using a stencil and stamp set from  MFT Stamps. Let's get started, shall we? I started my card by ink blending my background with  Ranger Distress Oxide Ink.  I used  Candied Apple,   Picked Raspberry,  and  Wilted Violet.   Next, I layed the  MFT Stamps: Lots of Heart Stencil  over my ink blended background.  Then, I added the same three colors of ink over the stencil, adding my hearts to my background. Next, I misted my background with water. I let my background dry for a few minutes, and then I added  Translucent Embossing Pastel  over my stencil.  While my background was still wet, I removed the stencil and added  Nuvo Pure Sheen Glitter in Ice White . This gave my background amazing sparkle and shine!! Perfect for Valentine's Day.  For my sentiment, I used the  MFT Stamps: Valent...

Birthday Shadow Box Card

Happy Wednesday, BRI friends! Today, I have a box card featuring lots of MFT products to share with you. I love making box card and shared two box cards in previous DT posts, but I made box card template by myself for today's one. Here is what I came up with. To start, I began by creating two box card templates. I trimmed down kraft paper by 4 1/4" x 6 3/4" and scored it at 5 1/2" and 6 1/2" as shown in the picture. For the front, I stamped MFT Whimsical Woodgrain Background Stamp onto one of the templates with MFT Milk Chocolate Dye Ink using masking technique. I die cut it with MFT Die-namics Linked Chain Oval Frames. I then ink blended back of the chain with Peeled Paint Distress Oxide Ink using Mini Blending Tool. To complete the front, I taped chain frame as shown using paper tape which is similar to 3M Mircopore Tape. I didn't want add an acetate sheet to the back of chain and used paper tape and really love the result! ...

Wishing You a Lifetime of Joy & Happiness

Hello and welcome to Butterfly Reflections Ink. This is Tanya from Studio 5380 with a card that is near and dear to my heart! My son and his sweet bride-to-be are having their first wedding shower today so this is the perfect time to share the card I created for their special day... I absolutely love these beautiful swans from the Splendid Swans Stamp Set from My Favorite Things.  After coloring, I used the coordinating die set to cut out my images. My background was created with the Mini Cloud Edges Stencil from MFT and Distress Ink in Worn Lipstick.   I used Distress Inks in Salty Ocean and Mermaid Lagoon to create the water.  It is so easy to blend multiple colors of Distress Ink or to work with stencils when using the Ranger Mini Ink Blending Tool and I always love the results. After finishing my background, I adhered my colored images with  Scotch Foam Mounting Tape. For finishing touches, I added a little sparkle with a...

Thinking of you

Hi, BRI friends! It's Dana here. I can't believe it is already the last day of January! Time flies too fast... With saying good bye to this month, I have a lovely card to share with you today. Here is what I came up with.  (Listed supplies are in the bottom of post.) To start, I stamped cupids from Pretty Pink Posh Cupid Friends stamp set with Altenew Permanent Black Crisp Ink and colored them copic markers. I applied Nuvo Ebony Black and Morning Dew to their eyes and heart arrows. I also added sparkles to their wings using Spectrum Noir Sparkle Pen Clear Overlay. I then fussy cut them using scissors. Before getting to background, I die cut scalloped heart from white card stock using Pretty Pink Posh Love Shaker Dies. I then started to blend background using Distress Oxide inks and Mini Blending Tool. From bottom to top, I used Candied Apple, Abandoned Coral and Antique Linen. I spritzed water and let it dried. I then splattered white acrylic paint with water using p...

Deer Love

Hi, BRI friends! It's Dana here coming back with one more Valentine's day themed card.  I combined MFT with Altenew products for today's card. Let's get started! To start, I stenciled clouds with Distress Oxide Ink Picked Raspberry using MFT Stencil Mini Cloud Edges and mini blending tool. I die cut hillside using MFT Die-namics Grassy Hills and ink blended it with MFT Spearmint Dye Ink. I stacked up papers for my background from bottom to top, white card base, pink card stock, silver strip foiled vellum, stenciled one and hillside using glue tape and craft foam. Next, I die cut deers from white card stock and white glittery paper using MFT Die-namics Deer Love. I mounted them on the background using glue tape. I then embellished hearts from Pretty Pink Posh Red Heart Confetti around the antler using mini foam adhesive. This work needed lots of patience to me but it was worth doing. I applied Nuvo Crystal Ebony Black to deers' eyes and let them dried. ...
