"Memories" scrapbook layout ///Doodlebug Designs "Hello" collection

Happy Tuesday, crafty friends! It's Heather and I am so excited to be sharing my first design team project with you! When I saw the Hello collection from Doodlebug , I knew it was just perfect for the photos I had of my mother celebrating her most recent birthday...(no, mom, I won't tell everyone how old you are!) Most of my layouts have only one photo, but I couldn't possibly choose between them...she looks so happy! I decided a grid format was the best way to go which is the easiest way to get incorporate many of the beautiful patterned papers.  Plus, I was able to use one of the large chipboard words from Dear Lizzy  perfectly in between.  I had initially thought I would paint them in some way...but I love the way the white title contrasts with all of the colors! I started with a piece of American crafts white cardstock....And, at this time, Butterfly Reflections Ink does not offer 12x12 papers, but what goes on that piece of...

Oh, and speaking of the shop...why should the Dad's get all the fun today?!? Treat YO 'self and with this super awesome discount! Ok! On to my beachy layout! Love it! I used my Silhouette to cut out the word beach, and then backed with some watercolored cardstock! I created the watercolor background with my Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers , believe it or not! :) So much fun!!!! My favorite part are the colors in the letter 'b'!! Love them! Ok, so I finished the title with the amazing scripty letter stickers from PinkFresh Studio ! LOVE them, so much! Then, I accented some of the letters with puffy stickers from the Crate Paper Oasis collection ! I backed the photos with a bunch of ephemera from the Dear Lizzy Happy Place collection! The little puffy hearts are from Doodlebug , and that C...

Pool Noodle Hockey Layout

Hello and good morning! Samantha here with you today, and I'm sharing a super FUN and BRIGHT scrapbook page! Ha! It's definitely bold, and definitely, mixed media (lite!), so let's dive in!! :) I started this layout with a white piece of cardstock and an idea! I used a black ink pad , a blending tool and did some masking with two pieces of computer paper to create the triangles! Once the triangles were done, I started with my neon watercolor! I used gelatos for this, but you could JUST AS EFFECTIVELY use the AWESOME Hero Arts Neon Ink pads! ! *swoon* I layered 'all the things!' under and around my photo! Ha! I used various Amy Tangerine papers from 6x6 pads , pieces from the Better Together Acetate Ephemera and some really old dimensional stickers ! Ha! I also used the rubber charm ampersand from Dear Lizzy Saturday collection ! I combined the Dear Lizzy Saturday Petals Chipboard Thickers and some black letter stickers from Elle's Studio to ...

Choose Wisely Young One

Hi there! Samantha here, and I'm super excited to be sharing another layout with you today! I used lots of products that can be found in the shop ! So let's get started! I used watercolors to create the background of my layout in blues and greens! LOVE it! Once it was dry, I used my FAVORITE star stencil of all time to add some black to some of the watercolored areas! :) I added some wood veneer stars to the same areas once it was all dry, just for some texture and dimension! I also used some of the wood shapes from the My Mind's Eye Necessities Wood Shape s pack! Those are one of my favorite embellishments ever! Lastly, I used some chipboard pieces from the Pink Paislee Atlas collection. LOVE those chipboard pieces! :) This photo just CRACKS me up!! It's my littlest Mann when he had accessories from ALL OF THE AVENGERS at one time! Ha ha!! My husband called him Captain Bruce T. Mann (for Captain America, Bruce Banner, Thor! and of course the Man...

2 back to school layouts

Hey guys!   Jung  here with 2 back to school layouts!  I'm so excited about these layouts!  It's been a tradition around here that I started when my older daughter started kindergarten.  Instead of taking her picture on just the first day of school, we take pictures the entire first week, and I remember to save some of her back-to-school clothes tags.  I love looking back to see how much she's grown, what size she was wearing, and her sense of style too.  Well, this year, my younger daughter started kindergarten, so we had double the pictures, double the clothes, double the layouts. When you have 2+ kids, and double the scrapbook layouts to make, here is my tip for you : keep it simple and make the same or very similar layouts using the same products (since you already have them out).  Since my girls each have their own albums, I do this often.  For example, I make layouts for their halloween costumes, dance recital pictures, school picture...

Lots of pink!!!

Hey all,  Jung  here!  How has your day been going?  Today, I have a pink scrapbook layout and a pink card to share with you. First up, is my happy birthday card: I absolutely love these stamp sets from Altenew!  I used Wild Hibiscus , and Label Love .  First I cut a piece of water color paper to an A2 sized panel.  Then I stamped the flowers using  Versafine Onyx Black  ink.  I added  clear embossing powder  and heat set.  To water color the background, I used Tim Holtz distress inks in the colors:  picked raspberry , spun sugar, ripe persimmon, and scattered straw. I stamped the happy sentiment, which is from Lawn Fawn's  Winter Penguin  stamp set.  I then cut out a stitched rectangle panel from the middle.  I attached the outer portion to a card base, then I popped up the inner portion with some foam tape to add dimension.  On a separate piece of scrap card stock, I stamped the b...

My Sweet Summer Layout

Hi hi hi! Samantha here again! And, no surprise, I have another layout! whoop whoop! I had a lot of fun making this one! First, I used my Silhouette to cut out the 'wavy' cut file. Then I used lots of blue  Distress Inks  and even a brown! to add color! I used some scraps from  6x6 papers  to add the photo mattes! Those white Thickers were stitched on with my sewing machine, and were some of the waves at the top of the page! Speaking of the top embellishment cluster...I used that FUN layered button embellishment from the Shimelle collection, and the cute little phrase stickers from Crate Paper ! I also used some of those fabulous puffy stickers from Evaliscious ! Oh, and that adorable little Day Dream flair button from Dear Lizzy is just so sweet!! This photo is from last year, at the end our little 4th of July getaway with my parents! the boys were 'whistfully' looking at the beach as we were packing up for the last time! So bitterswe...

Goodnight Stars, Goodnight Air Layout

Good morning! Samantha here, and today I'm sharing a sweet layout of my littlest Mann, from when he was just a few months old! Today he turns 4, and it's unbelievable that time has flown by that quickly!! Anywho, on to my layout! I started by using a stencil and some Distress Markers . I outlined the inside of each stenciled area that I wanted color to show through, and then blending it out with some water! You could achieve a similar look by blending out the colors with your Wink of Stella brushes or with your Zig Clean Color Brush Markers ! Once that was dry, I went back over some of the stenciled area with a different stencil and some white embossing paste ! I added the title by combining some alpha tab style stickers with the prettiest and softest glittered silver Thickers!  I added stitching to the letters (mostly to keep them in place and also because I just LOVE the look and texture that stitching on a layout adds!). I used the adorable little bow...

I Know You Layout

Hello! And happy Father's Day to everyone out there! Samantha here with you today, and I don't have a Father's Day project for you...sigh. I know, what's wrong with me?! Ha! But I do have an awesome layout to share that I created with the June Mood Board! Need a mood board picture refresher? Yeah, I am in LOVE! So let's dive into my layout, shall we? First, I used some Distress Ink (Squeezed Lemonade and Spun Sugar) to create the watercolored background. Then I used LOTS of goodies to embellish in the pinks and blues from the mood board! I used stickers from the Rise and Shine Amy Tangerine Collection , and wood buttons from Dear Lizzy and Shimelle collections! I used some of my favorite Thickers to create the title, along with some tiny alpha stickers from My Minds Eye ! Oh, and I can't forget about those sweet little pinky enamel stickers - those are from the Pool Side collection ! LOVE! Oh, I forgot to mention! I used pap...

Distress Inks on an A-Dork-Able Layout!

Hello! Well, Samantha here again, and I'm sharing a super layout that I LOOOOVE. It's honestly one of my favorite layouts ever! I LOVE how it came together! I used a TON of products from the Butterfly Reflections Ink shop , and had a blast making this! To start off, I used some distress inks and lots of water to create the water drippage for the background! It turned out SO FUN! And it's just perfect for the photo of my littlest Mann at the pool last summer! The Jubilee Awesome Mixed Bag from My Mind's Eye worked PERFECTLY to add embellishments around the photo and at the bottom, under the title! :) I also used lots of the wood buttons from Dear Lizzy to embellish my page - those are, hands down, MY FAVORITE embellishments at the moment! I used some thickers to create the large title, and some tiny type to add the smaller title! LOVE how the two fonts look together! Oh! And those wood sunburst shaped veneers you see all over the page are so FUN!...

A Very Love-y Layout

Hello! Samantha here, and happy Valentine's Day! :) I'm here sharing a super lovely, and love-y layout on this day of LOVE! :) I used a lot of goodies from the Butterfly Reflections Ink shop, so let's get to it! :) See? Lot's of goodies! I found this picture of my littlest Mann, when he was just a wee one! (3 years ago - ack! Where did the time go?!) I used the Lawn Fawn stamp set Hello Baby, and heat embossed on the photo itself! Shh, don't worry, the photo wasn't sad or scared!  I also used the Sharp Backdrops stamp set to add some texture to the watercolored areas. And speaking of texture - I also added some more texture with a stencil and some embossing paste ! All of the papers and layers behind the photo are from the amazing Kiss Kiss paper pad - LOVE that paper pad - swoon! I used some white paint to lighten up the busy background paper, and then when it was dry, I also added some watercoloring with the Worn Lipstick Distress ink...

It's Your Time to Soar

Hello, Butterfly Reflections friends! It is Jessi from Kissin' Krafts and I am glad to be back to share with you a fun and fresh card. Reflection   Who else is ready to put winter behind them? I am ready to start crafting with fun and fresh prints!   Today's card, I am using a few supplies I bought from the Butterfly Reflections store lately!     I knew I wanted to use this fun sentiment from Avery Elle's  Look Up stamp set.  My first thought was to use cloud print paper and maybe add a kite. As I was searching for the right paper, I came across the paper airplane print from AC Day Dreamer 6x6 paper pad.  The rest of the prints came from the same paper pad. (Who doesn't love paper pads? They make it so easy to coordinate papers!!!)   Once I attached the papers, I added a small white wooden clothespin to the card. However, it needed something else. I started messing with adding string to the project, but simply co...

Acrylic Butterfly Mini Album

Hi Everyone!  I have always professed my love for acrylic albums.  They are great for brag books to be displayed.  They also give a light and airy feel that is perfect for a little girl's album.  Vanessa sent me this adorable butterfly mini album .  I printed 2x2 and 3x3 photos to put in this album and used frames from The Pier and Maggie Holmes .  I embellished it using papers from Basic Grey , flair from Crate Paper, and buttons from Dear Lizzy .  I kept it really simply so the cute pictures would be the star!     Hope you enjoyed! --Nicole
