Peek-a-Boo! Thinking of You! Card and Pocketfold

Hello and a Happy Monday to you!  I'm starting the week off right with this fun card and DIY pocketfold! Have you ever created a pocketfold?  I made a template that I made a while back that helps me remember the measurements and where to score and fold. Once I have my pocketfold ready, I can use the Heffy Doodle UnbeLEAFable Stencil and Twisted Citron Distress Oxide to decorate it! Now, I'm going to stamp my A very Elle Peek-a-Boo Pals with Hero Arts Intens-ified Black Ink and then color my images with Copic markers. I'm going to lay my images out so that they're peeking over the pocketfold.  I am using 3D foam strips to adhere their little paws so that they're hanging over the pocketfold. I'm also going to use some Heffy Doodle Memo Tape to mask off part of the card so that I can create a green triangle in the bottom right part of the card. I'm going to use a Dress My Craft Border Punch and Catherine Pooler Coral Cabana ink to create a border for my tr...

Sending You Lots of Love

Hello, Everybody! It's Kelly Martin here, and thanks so much for stopping by the blog today to check out my card! Several days ago, I sat down and had a fun little stamping party, using some of the products from Pinkfresh Studio's most recent release. One of those products is the Modern Layered Floral Stamp Set and coordinating die set. I stamped out 4 different sets of this floral (using Sweet Sixteen , Flirty Fuchsia , Seafoam , and Spruce inks from Catherine Pooler) and then used the coordinating die to cut out the bouquets and then glued the bouquets down to a card. I had LOTS of the imag hanging off the edge, so I just used my scissors to cut off the excess. You can see the finished card here . So the big question was - What am I supposed to do with all these extra bits and pieces that I trimmed off this card? Well here's the answer: I arranged all the cut off pieces from that first card around the outer edge of a cut and scored 4.25 x 5.5 inch ca...

VIDEO - Bursting with Fun! | Stencils and Color Burst

Hi Everyone! It's Jenny here, and I'm so thrilled to be returned to the BRI blog - and I have LOTS of cards for you today - SEVEN!  I'm focusing on using stencils with Color Burst watercolor powders.    I'm using the just released Catherine Pooler Color Burst collection, and Butterfly Reflections Ink carries tons of other gorgeous colors in the store . For all my cards I'm using cold press watercolor cardstock .   You can check out the full video over on  YouTube .   My first two cards use the Catherine Pooler Designs (CPD) Perfect Vine stencil.  I laid out two sheets of cold press cardstock and on one I laid down the stencil, and then spritzed clear water  over the top with a Mini Mister .  I then quickly picked up the stencil and flipped it over onto the other piece of cardstock, pushed down to press the water remaining on the stencil into the cardstock and then lifted it up. Now for the fun part! ...

One-Layer Stamping - Rose Builder Set

Hey there, my stamping friends! It's Kelly Martin here! Hope you all are having a fantastic weekend and getting lots of opportunities for crafting! Today, I'm sharing 2 different cards that were really simple to put together. Sometimes, I just really enjoy getting back to the one-layer cards and simple stamping. I can easily mass produce these and I also get to use a bunch of different color inks, which is one of my favorite things! The process behind these cards was extremely simple. I used the WPlus9 Rose Builder  stamp set and my Catherine Pooler inks and just stamped away! Although this is a layering set, the images are EXTREMELY easy to line up--just line up the centers, as the center "swirl" is in the same place on every single individual layer stamp! Here are some tips for doing one layer floral stamping like this: 1. Incorporate multiple shades of green for your leaves. This will add some visual interest and cause your eye to travel all over...

Stuck On You

Hey, BRI fans - Kathy here!  I have a confession - plants are doomed if they depend on me to flourish.  It's a fact.  At least these lovely cactus plants have the promise of being around for a long time! For my card, I created a background using Concord & 9th To The Point Turnabout stamp - a cinch with the MISTI - and Catherine Pooler inks .  These fun, big cactus die cuts are from Concord & 9th Stuck On You dies. The 'happy birthday' sentiment is from Concord & 9th Birthday Basics Turnabout stamps. Hope you'll follow us via email/blog , Facebook and/or Instagram so you won't miss any projects the design team shares...not to mention, you'll be among the first to hear about deals and specials!

Crafty Friends

Hi, Crafty Friends!  Kathy here sharing my very first card as a Butterfly Reflections, Inc. design team member and I'm so glad you've stopped by today! There is something special that happens when crafters meet each other.  They become instant friends!  I've met so many incredible people through this 'little' hobby both in person and on line that I wanted to start off creating something for all of you! For my card, I used this super fun Crafty Turnabout stamp from Concord & 9th with images that are near and dear to my heart!  Lining up the stamp to layer the different colors was easy peasy with my trusty MISTI , of course.   I stamped the images with Catherine Pooler inks Tutti Frutti , Lime Rickey , Aquatini and Icing On The Cake . I must say, I'm new to these inks and they are A-mazing!  The colors stamp rich and vibrant and clean up is a breeze especially with the Lawn Fawn Stamp Shammy ! The die cut shapes are Concord ...

One Stamp Two Ways with Avery Elle

Hello there! Ashlea here and today I've got a couple of different techniques to use with the same stamp set. Every now and again, a stamp set so simple and so genius comes along and you just have to have it. That's this Avery Elle Starry Scene stamp and die set . Let me be totally honest for a moment here, I didn't get the dies. I thought, I don't really need them, they're just simple shapes. I was wrong. They would really have made my life so much simpler. They even have the little stars so that you can cut them directly out of card stock rather than stamping them. Don't be silly like me.  My first photo with the mountain is the more traditional way I decided to use the stamps. I love when stamp sets seem to come with multiple technique ideas. I know for myself, I'm much more apt to purchase a stamp set when I can think of multiple ways to use it. For my mountain card, I decided to use a more traditional technique. Basically I just sta...
