Halloween Fun at Disneyland

Hi crafty friends! Growing up, I would hear about Knott's Scary Farm and vowed never to go there because I do NOT like scary Halloween stuff. So today's card is inspired by the non-scary, magical Halloween fun at Disneyland! I used mainly Lawn Fawn stamps for the images and colored them up with Copic markers. (The castle is from a different company but Lawn Fawn and MFT have castle stamps.) For the background, I ink blended the clouds with Distress Oxide ink and the MFT mini cloud stencil onto dark blue cardstock. Then I splattered liquid stardust onto the panel and let it completely dry overnight. (*Tip for using liquid stardust: I have found the best success with splattering it straight on, no diluting with water!) For the ground, I lightly ink blended some dark gray cardstock. The sentiment was heat embossed and popped up with black foam tape. Supplies used: Lawn Fawn Costume Party (and dies ) Lawn Fawn Coaster Critters (and dies ) Lawn Fawn Everyday Sentiment Banners Law

Harry Potter Interactive Card

Hi crafty friends! I know Harry Potter themed cards can be made year round, but there's something about October that feels extra Harry Potter-y! Last year, I made this Harry Potter card and my stamp sets got a workout 😂. This year, I went a bit simpler because I had this vision of an interactive card featuring my interpretation of the dragon scene in Goblet of Fire!  I created this mini slimline card using a mix of products from Mama Elephant and Lawn Fawn. The background is a first for me-- I drew and colored the stones and fence with Copic markers. (I was inspired by this Sandy Allnock Instagram post and then watched this Sandy Allnock YouTube video and thought I would attempt a custom Copic colored background. YouTube makes you think you can do anything!😂 Definitely not professional level but it was good enough for me!) The rocks in the foreground were cut out with a Mama Elephant die and then ink blended with Distress Oxides. I used foam tape to pop up the rocks to leave

Cool Friend with Reverse Confetti

Hello friends!   Audrey here with a fun frosty greeting!  You may or may not be aware, but Reverse Confetti recently closed their doors and are no longer in business.  The great news is that Butterfly Reflections Ink still has a great selection of Reverse Confetti products, but once they are gone, they are gone forever, so stock up while you can!  My card today uses the Reverse Confetti Cool Friend stamp set and coordinating dies.  The background uses a fun striped die set from Pink Fresh Studio. I used black and white Nuvo Drops for the snow and coal eyes and buttons on the snowmen, and you can't have a snowman without some glitter!  Diamond Stickes are the perfect addition! Products used: Reverse Confetti Cool Friend stamp set Pinkfresh Studio Slim Stripse dies Nuvo Drops White Blizzard Nuvo Drops Ebony Black Diamond Stickles That's all for me today!  Thanks for stopping by! :)

Spell-cial Halloween Card with Lawn Fawn

Hi crafty friends! Today's card features a fun scene using Lawn Fawn stamps. These cats are up to something with their potions, spell book, and cauldron full of gummy worms! (But look! One worm got away!)  I am loving these night skies with glowing moons so for the background, I masked off the moon and used some purple Distress Oxide inks to make the glow around it. I darkened the sky up with chipped sapphire and black soot Oxides as well. I used the new Lawn Fawn Night Time Sky stencil to create the moon craters with some manatee ink. I splattered water and black soot ink and then cut the panel out with the Mama Elephant Cloud Nine die. Finally, I finished off the background with birch trees and ground cut out of black cardstock.  I used Copic markers to color in the images and popped some of them up with foam tape. The sentiment was white heat embossed on purple cardstock (a first for me! I don't think I have ever used purple cardstock for a sentiment strip before!). Supplie

Boo! Happy Halloween!

Hi crafty friends! Happy October! Today I have a colorful Halloween card that features Lawn Fawn stamps! Before I get into today's card, I have a friendly PSA: if you are about to recreate the colors of candy corn, double check on Google to make sure you have the colors in the correct order before creating the entire background and sticking it permanently onto your card base. (Ask me how I know, ha! Sigh... 😂) And now onto my card! For the background, I stamped the images with the different inks to create a tone on tone look. I mounted the panel onto a piece of fun foam and then glued it onto the black sparkle card base. I had created my own sparkly black cardstock by taping a border around the edges and then covering the sticky tape with embossing powder. (I knew I was going to adhere a panel in the middle so I only needed a border of sparkle.) After heat setting it, the cardstock looked like it was glitter cardstock.  To create the focal sentiment, I die cut the "B"

October 2022 Mood Board

Hello there! And happy World Card Making Day! Amanda here today to share this months mood board. I was really drawn to the teal and orange combo this month and while I typically love jewel tones in the fall I was really liking the idea of some lighter muted tones like sage green and a sandy orange to round it out. I hope it's fall enough for you! My son informed it is not 😂 Forest Teal, Sage Green, Sandstone and Yam Image Sources: Pinterest I can't wait to see all of your creations! Be sure to share on Instagram with #brimoodboard for a chance to win a $20 shop credit, plus if you enter this weekend and use #briwcmd2022 you'll be entered to win an additional prize!
