Butterfly Reflections, Ink

Hello BRI Friends, Waleska from  craftinglovew  here.  I am so happy today to share with you the very last post of this 2017!!!  What a great year we had at Butterfly Reflections Ink shop!!! So many amazing products added to the shop, so many talented designers share with all of us beautiful inspiration... Well too many cool stuff to mention Vanessa can tell you that better than me!!! For my card today I wanted to give a little reminder to ALL of us... to Reach for the Stars especially on this coming 2018! CARD DETAILS: I started with a white card base, I smooshed two of my favorite Oxide ink colors into my craftmat and added a little bit of water: Starting with  Peacock Feathers  and  Twisted Citron .  I then with a fine brush splash into the hole piece little splashes of  Seedless Preserves  ink .  To give the galaxy look to my piece I sponge the borders with  Black Soot  and finally added gold splashes with the beautiful  Gansai Tambi Starry Colors . Hello everyone! Kevin here sharing my final post as a BRI designer. My time flew by so quickly! I loved working with such a great company, team, and community. Thank you so much to you all for making me feel welcome here! Now lets take a look at this fun New Year's card- I started by trying something a little new to me- no line Copic coloring. I really was intimidated by it at first but I chose a simple and fun image from Brutus Monroe's Birthday Bears . I love these little guys. Then I took a fun banner stamp and first and second generation stamped it across a white panel before adding it to a gray card base. Finally, a simple sentiment finished it off. Hi Everyone! Jenny here with my last post of my official Butterfly Reflections Ink DT term .  To end with a 'boom', I'm using the Butterfly Reflections Ink/Bossy Joscie collaboration stamp sets #Hashtag and #Hashtag Bossy .  These sets are so funny and feature a great array of #hashtags for almost any day of the week :) To start, I die cut a butterfly from a piece of Inkadinkado Stamping Masking Paper trimmed to 4.25" x 5.5".  This butterfly is an older one from my stash but these by Reverse Confetti would work perfectly. I then trimmed a piece of Bristol Smooth cardstock to the same size and overlayed the negative part of the masking paper so the bristol panel was fully covered.  Using Versafine Smokey Grey ink and an acrylic block , I stamped pretty much all of the individual tiny sentiments from both sets, both horizontally and vertically (both directions) all over the butterfly opening, making sure to overlap the edges. Hello, there!  It's Andrea here with my last post as a DT member.  I can't believe how quickly the past four months have flown by!  I have had such a blast on this team and am so grateful for this amazing experience.  Now, enough chit chat; how about some cards? When I first saw Honey Bee Stamps' Snow Birds set , I knew I had to have it!  These birds are just so cute and fun to color that I couldn't resist coloring almost all of them (I didn't have time to get them all on cards yet, but soon, I hope)!  All of the birdies were stamped with Versafine Onyx Black ink and colored with my Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers.  Naturally, I added some highlights and details with my white gel pen . To create the snow angel on my first card, I stamped the outline image and cut it out.  For this project I used the negative piece and saved the die-cut to use later.  I popped that negative panel on top of the colored image with foam tape and adhered them to a white card.

Hi everyone!  I hope you all had a wonderful holiday.  I decided after making so many Christmas cards, it was time to take a break and do a bright, fun, and sparkly card. For today's card, I decided to use the adorable mermaid stamp and assorted images from the  Under the Sea Stamp Set by Honey Bee Stamps .  I stamped the images onto some Canson XL watercolor paper and then colored the images with my Zig Markers and a  Detailer Water Brush .  Next, I cut the image out with the coordinating  Under the Sea Honey Cuts Dies .  Next, I set the images aside and created my background.  I used my  Gansai Tambi Watercolor 36 color set and a paint brush to create the fun background.  I then stamped the sentiment with some  Versamark Ink and white heat  embossed it.  Then I adhered the panel onto a standard A2 sized notecard.  Next, I adhered all the images with some foam tape to create this fun scene. I also added lots of glitter to the images using my   Wink of Stella Clear Glitter

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to everyone!  It's Jacquie here on this Christmas Day sharing a holiday Thank you card.   This will likely be a thank you I send for a Christmas gift, I wanted it to have a seasonal winter feel to it, so I used Concord and 9th's Perfect Plaid stamp .  I simply stamped it in black ink on red card stock to create that fun buffalo check.  I trimmed it down for this card and used it as a backdrop.  The flowers and greeting are from a new Altenew layering set called Flower Arrangement .  I am in love with that font...isn't it gorgeous?  I did mostly second generation stamping to lighten up the flowers and make them more subtle.  I used the  coordinating die set  to cut them out and make a cute arrangement on my plaid panel. I also added a little berry accent stamping with one of my all time favorite sets  Altenew Beautiful Day. I finished it off by stamping the greeting and adding some clear droplets from Pretty Pink Posh .

Hi, everyone! I hope everyone is having a lovely Sunday, and for those of you waiting for Santa, I hope he treats you well! It's Cassie here, and I'm back to share a fun holiday card with you. The card for today could be used for a lot of wintery occasions, but I had a birthday in mind when I put it together. As you can see I made some cute little penguins into some balloons! I started by die cutting the Stitched Cloud Backdrops die from Lawn Fawn from some 120 lb Neenah Solar White card stock. I wanted my card to be nice and sturdy. I used the gold paint from my Gansai Tambi water color set to splatter some paint over the clouds. I wanted to tie in the gold that I was going to bring in later, and this added a little interest to the otherwise blank sky. Then I stamped the cutest little penguin from the Pink and Main set Warm Hug . These little guys are too cute for words. Hello! It's Lynnea and I'm here to share a couple of easy Christmas cards that really pack a punch! And I used a variety of products from different companies! That's something I've really been trying to do lately. And of course you can get all of these products in the  Butterfly Reflections, Inc  shop! I made two cards, but I started both of them in similar ways. I cut down a piece of black cardstock to be 4.25 " by 5.5 " and sprayed them with some silver shimmer spray. I covered most of the cardstock, but the little bits of black that peek through are super shimmery! I grabbed the Plaid Background Stamp from Concord & 9th and stamped it on both pieces of black cardstock with  Versamark  ink. I embossed one piece with  Hero Arts Silver Embossing Powder  and the other with  Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder . Then I used the skinny lines to add the details - Gold lines on the silver background and silver lines on the gold background.  I die

Hey everyone! I have one final Christmas card to share with you all before we hit the big day! I went back to what I know best for this project- clean and simple. But don't worry, I added something a little extra so it won't be a bore for the recipient. I started by adding the wow factor- SNOW! How cool is the Marvy Snow Marker ?! It is amazing. I added a little to my card base as a place to ground the cutest little bunny from Brutus Monroe's Birthday Bears stamp set. Some fun snow flakes from Folk Art Flurries by W+9 added a little more interest. Finally, a simple sentiment finished this CAS. Thanks for stopping by and have a great holiday!

Hi Everyone! It's Jenny here, and I'm taking a break from Christmas today (gasp!) to bring you two cards which use a cool stencil technique involving glitter paste, stencils and ink blending.  You don't even need layering stencils to create this look.  For my first card, I used a piece of Bristol Smooth cardstock and taped it to a craft mat.  I then used Distress Oxide inks in Wilted Violet and Picked Raspberry and blended them over the A ltenew Layered Dahlia Stencil A using a mini ink blending tool. I removed the stencil and applied  Stencil B , making sure to line it up (it's easy to do). I applied  Nuvo Glimmer Paste in Moonstone .  This is my favorite Nuvo Glimmer Paste. It's clear with lots of iridescent sparkle. I found whne i applied it over the Oxides, it almost appeared to take on the colour it was applied over.  Very cool look!  I trimmed down the panel when dry and popped it up on a pale rose cardbase, lined with strips of rose gold

Hello, again!  It's Andrea with you to share some fun gift toppers/ornaments featuring some adorable critters from Neat & Tangled.  I've seen quite a few bloggers who have stamped and colored images on wood slices, and I've been itching to try it myself. After picking up a bag of wood slices from my local craft store, I chose images from Neat & Tangled's Santa's Wonderland (snowman and penguin) and Get Yeti (dog).  I stamped the images with Versafine Onyx Black ink  and colored them with my Prismacolor pencils.  To smooth out and blend the coloring, I used Gamsol and some paper stumps.  For some reason, the white pencil did not blend well and really shows the texture of the wood. Once I had finished coloring, I traced over all of my images with a fine-tip black Sharpie and added some highlights with a white gel pen .  I gave some sparkle to the penguin and snowman with Spectrum Noir Clear Sparkle Overlay .   I used a drill to make

Hi everyone!  It's Christine here with a fun wintery card to share.  I had so much fun putting this card together.  Here's my card: For my card today, I first stamped the adorable images from the  Playful Polar Bears Stamp Set from Sunny Studio onto some Canson XL watercolor paper.  I colored the images using my Zig Markers and a  Detailer Water Brush .  Next, I cut the images out using the coordinating  Playful Polar Bears Dies .  Next I created my background by inking some  Salty Ocean Distress Oxide Ink and some  Faded Jeans Distress Oxide Ink onto some Canson XL watercolor paper and then lightly spritzing the background with water to create a fun distressed look.  Next, I cut some hillsides out of some Bristol Smooth Cardstock using my stitched hillside border dies from Lawn Fawn (I lightly inked the tops of the mountains with some  Salty Ocean Distress Oxide Ink .  I then adhered the inked panel to a standard A2 sized card base.  I then adhered my polar bea

Hello friends!  Well, Christmas is only a week away, and I'm sure everyone is finishing up last minute shopping, baking and crafting!  Today I am sharing some quick tags, these are great for gift wrapping, or even gift giving! These tags are so simple and quick to make!  I started off by blending Distress Oxide ink onto an A2 sized card panel.  I used a MFT Drifts & Hills stencil to make a snow line.  I added some water drops and splattered some white paint for snow.  I cut two tags out of the card panel using WPlus9 Christmas tag die set. I stamped and quickly colored using Copic markers on these cute images from Avery Elle Sledding Critters and Lawn Fawn and cut them out. My favorite ink for this is Altenew Black Crisp Permanent ink - it's such a dark black, and performs beautifully with all the different Alcohol markers. I needed a quick and simple banner, so I used WPlus9 Be Merry Stamp and die set for this.  I mounted everything with some

Hello and happy Sunday everyone! Mayra here from Mayras Designs with today's post. I used the super pretty Mermaizing stamp set from  My Favorite Things for my card today. There are coordinating dies available here .  For my background, I used the Wavy Coloring Book Background stamp  from My Favorite Things . I LOVED the design of this stamp from the  moment I saw it and how people were using it!  I began by die cutting the red cardstock using MFT Die-namics A2 Stitched Rectangle Stax . I heat embossed the image using Versamark Ink and Hero Arts White Satin Embossing powder .  The sentiment is from the Happy Pawlidays set , I heat embossed this as well.   For the mermaid, I used the hat from one of the puppies from the   Happy Pawlidays set .  I colored the image using Copic markers.  I hope you enjoy the card I created to share with you today.  Thank you so much for stopping by!  Wishing you a wonderful and Blessed day! 

Hello and welcome to Butterfly Reflections Ink! This is Tanya from Studio 5380 and I have a dreamy Christmas card to share with you today: I just love this sleepy little pup! All of the images on this card are from the adorable Christmas Dreams stamp set by Lawn Fawn. I colored the images with my Copics and cut them out with the Christmas Dreams Lawn Cuts die set. I used several great products to add a little sparkle to my card, including: Nuvo Glitter Drops in White Blizzard Nuvo Glitter Accents in Aztec Gold Glossy Accents I also used some darling prints from the  Here Comes Santa Claus paper pad from Doodlebug Design to create my card background.
