Pick of the Patch Mini Slimline Card

Hello crafty friends! Fall is in full swing and today I am excited to share with you a clean and simple mini slimline card! Have you tried a mini slimline card yet? I am really digging this size because sometimes, I feel like a full slimline card is overwhelming... So much card front to cover, so much inside to write in. So the mini size is a great in between size to stretch your scene but not feel overwhelmed.  For today's card, I used Pick of the Patch from Lawn Fawn . I stamped and masked off the pumpkin and squirrel images to create this one layer card. With the masks still in place, I ink blended the background with some Distress Inks ( abandoned coral , spiced marmalade , mustard seed , crushed olive --you can use Distress Oxides) to create what I like to call an autumn rainbow! I splattered some water and then spritzed it with tarnished brass Distress mica spray . I hope you can see it in the pictures... it is much shinier in person! Once the background was done, I removed...

Rawr! You are truly dino-mite!

Hi everyone, Peggy here! Today I am sharing another card with the Mama Elephant set Me and My Dinosaur. This is a card that can be used for many different occasions. Let me show you how I made it! I started by cutting a standard size card base and used the largest Lawn Fawn Inside Out Stitched Stackable Rectangle  to cut a panel. I used some purple tape to mask off a vertical strip. Next, I took my Distress Oxide fossilized amber and the Lawn Fawn Cloudy Stencil to make a yellow cloudy sky in a vertical strip. I stamped my images from the Me and My Dinosaur set using Lawn Fawn Jet Black Ink and colored them with my copics. I cut a strip from some Lawn Fawn Storm Cloud Cardstock and hand cut a little flag end. I adhered my scene, stamped the sentiment directly onto the panel and used a piece of washi tape to add some interest under the gray strip. I hope you like my card! Long distance hugs! Have a Happy Spring Moodboard Inspiration!

Hi everyone, Peggy here with some moodboard inspiration. Wishing you all a very happy spring! Today I'm sharing a clean and simple but very pretty butterfly card. Let me show you how I made it! Butterflies make me think of the shop ! And of course of spring. I started out cutting two card bases and two slightly smaller panels from the newest Lawn Fawn Paper Pack Perfectly Plaid Remix . This paper pad truly is perfection. It also fits the current moodboard so nicely! From the Lawn Fawn Inside Out Stitched Rectangle Stackables I cut panels using the second to largest die. I used some Lawn Fawn Jet Black Ink to stamp the sentiment 'Have a happy spring!' as well as the butterfly images from Lawn Fawn Simply Celebrate Spring . I matched my copic colors to the current moodboard. I used my tape runner to adhere the patterned paper and used foam tape to pop up the white stitched panels. I used some foam dots to pop up the butterflies. I finished my images with some white gelly...

Grateful flowers

Hi there crafty peeps! I am SO happy to be back guesting on the BRI blog! I colored these gorgeous flowers from the MFT set Flowers in Bloom with Copics and added a little colored pencils for shading. After die-cutting them, I layered the flowers over the Reverse Confetti Woodgrain Confetti Cuts die that I had wrapped some kraft twine around. I also stamped the flowers with kraft ink onto the primitive white MFT cardstock. I layered the 'grateful' MFT die-namic (probably retired, I apologize!) over the twine and flower stems. Thanks for popping in! Happy Wednesday! Hugs, Angel

Fab-BOO-lous Halloween

Hello BRI friends! It’s Kevin here sharing yet another Halloween card with you! I am loving all the Halloween cards I’ve been seeing and decided I needed to make a few more before it’s too late! Check out the most recent one I’ve made- I used the back by popular demand Witch Way is the Candy Stamp set by MFT for all my images. They were Copic colored and popped up on that stellar background. I can never get over how quick and easy Distress Ink smooshing is!! It’s like magic! I used Carved Pumpkin and Fossilized Amber along with some water to create it. I matted the background strip over a black peice of card stock and added it to a kraft card base. I thought about adding some sequins or something but figured I could use this for my dad’s Halloween card this year! So I kept it as a masculine CAS card! Thanks so much for checking out this faboolous card! Have a great day and get excited for world cardmaking day!!

Sending Sunshine Sunflowers

Happy Saturday everyone! It’s Jacquie , back again to share a pretty fall floral card.  Sunflowers are some of my favorite flowers.  I love a bouquet of them in my house, it just feels so welcoming. My card today is deceptively simple and easy to make.    I stamped this pretty Sunflower image from StrawberryJude Stamps  on a 4 x 5 ¼ piece of white cardstock, using the new Copic friendly ink from Altenew .  This ink is my new favorite ink for alcohol based markers.  It stamps perfect, dark and crisp every time!  I colored the Sunflower with my Copic markers.  I used the Stitched Scallop Basic Edges dies from My Favorite things to create a pretty edge at the top of my card.  I took an A2 sized piece of Kraft cardstock and put it in my MIST I tool. I stamped the Sunflower image on the edge of my Kraft Cardstock, and then inserted the colored card panel in the MISTI and stamped it a second time so that...
