Sending You Joy!

Hello, friends! Kelly Martin here, and thanks for stopping by the blog today and spending a little bit of your day with me!  I recently sat down and had a nice wintery card-making session and I wanted to share one of my projects with you today, so let's get started! To begin, I trimmed down a 4.25 by 5.5 inch piece of white cardstock. Using a blending brush  and my Distress Oxide inks in Speckled Egg , Faded Jeans , and Chipped Sapphire , I created the ink blended background. I simply started with the lightest color first (Speckled Egg), and blended in a circular motion in the middle of the card. Then I used my second darkest color (Faded Jeans), and blended in a circular motion in an outward direction from the middle, and then repeated that same process with the darkest color (Chipped Sapphire). I then added some splatters using the same oxide inks and some white acryllic paint. Using blending brushes and Distress Oxide inks is a great way to give your background that halo-glowi

Have A Really Cool New Year!

Hi everyone! Tina here with a card to help ring in the New Year featuring some cuteness from Lawn Fawn! 2020 is nearly over and I sure hope 2021 will be a better year for us all!  To create my card I started off with the Slim Window Dressing scalloped layer die from Mama Elephant. I inked it up using Distress inks in Tumbled Glass, Peacock Feathers and Broken China. I added the tree layers using the Lawn Fawn Slimline Forest Border die . I stamped, embossed and colored up the images from the Lawn Fawn Yeti or Not and Party Animal stamps  using Copic markers.   The snowflakes were cut from glittered cardstock using the  Mini Snowflakes Lawn Cuts die.  I also embellished using a white gel pen and some sparkle marker.  Thanks so much for stopping by the blog today and I hope you will check out these goodies in the shop. Have a great day and wishing you all the best to come in 2021!!

(A Lotl) cheer for the New Year

Hello crafty friends! Davina here with a late post. I’ve been so busy and unable to concentrate lately. I knew I had a post coming up and when I looked, I saw I missed it by a day. I am the worst... but I will try to make it up to you with a super cute Center Picture Window Card.  I sat down this afternoon in hopes of making up for my faux pas. I wanted to use the new Lawn Fawn mini stamp set  I Like You (A Lotl) , and I wanted to somehow make a New Years Card using the December BRI Moodboard  after playing around with some ideas I got to work.     I selected a dusky sky blue for my base layer, and used the Lawn Fawn  Center Picture Window  dies to cut the base and window pop out portion. I cut the window part using the smallest Stitched Den Cuts  since Axolotl live in very few fresh water bodies And caves in Mexico.  Next, I cut some Kraft cardstock using the  Slimline Stitched Hillside  to create a sandy bottom, and a background hillside as well.   I stamped images from  I Like You (

Oh, Gnome! You're sick!

Hello friends!  This is Crystal here with you today.  I hope you all had a wonderful holiday season and are ready for a new year to begin.  I think we could all use a fresh new start!  Today I am sharing a fun slimline card featuring a variety of the Lawn Fawn products we all love.  I figured that with winter upon us (at least here in New England anyway), 'tis the season for colds, flu and need I speak of the more obvious, COVID?  So, having a good supply of get well soon cards on hand is probably a good idea during this time of year.   Card details:  Slimline cards are designed to fit inside a regular #10 business sized envelope and require no additional postage.  The base of this slimline card (8 1/2" x 3 1/2") was made from Neenah Solar White Smooth cardstock.  I created the background by cutting a piece of purple  Lawn Fawn Watercolor Wishes cardstock .   I die cut the Lawn Fawn Mushroom House from white cardstock, Cajun Craze and Rich Razzleberry cardstock. I ass

Merry Christmas

Happy Friday and a very Merry Christmas to all! I hope everyone is able to take some time and enjoy the holiday in whatever way makes you happy. I am very happy to share these two slimline cards with you today that feature the beautiful Radiant Ornament Layer Set from Birch Press Design, as well as some other goodies.  I started by making the ornaments, which is just simply die-cutting and glueing the layers together. I then tied some gold thread to the ornaments.  I decided to hang the ornaments from some pine branches. For this, I used the Holly and Pine die set from Hello Bluebird. For one card, I cut the pine branches out of a spearmint colored card stock and then colored some with Pine Needles Distress Oxide to give some color variation. For the other card, I cut the branches out of different colors of gold metallic paper and some kraft card stock. I cut one bow out of the same watermelon card stock that I used for the ornaments, and one out of the spearmint card stock. For th

Merry Christmas Eve!

Merry Christmas Eve, all!  I hope you're having a wonderful day!  I'm excited to share a slimline Christmas card with you today!  It features many Heffy Doodle products, including the Santa's Village Stamp Set ! To make this card, I started with the Heffy Doodle Stitched Slimline Trio Dies . I stamped my images and sentiments from the  Santa's Village Stamp Set  and the Whatcha Sayin' and Whatcha Saying Now Stamp Sets . After I got everything all stamped out, I colored the images with Copic markers. I cut out the images with the coordinating dies and then I adhered everything to the card base using 3D foam squares and strips. Voila!  Done!  Super simple and super festive! Merry Christmas to you and yours! Xoxo, Amanda

Dashin' Thru the Snow

Hi everyone! Tina here with a winter themed card featuring some cuteness from Mama Elephant. I just adore these critters from the Dashin Thru the Snow stamps. I stamped, embossed and colored up these cuties using Copic markers. The images can be cut using the coordinating Dashin Thru the Snow Creative Cuts . For the background I used a soft blend of Distress Inks in Milled Lavender, Broken Glass, Peacock Feathers and Broken China. I splattered water, white paint and shimmer spray across the background and added some snowflake sequins from my stash. The beautiful snowflake frame die is the Mama Elephant Flurry Frame Creative Cuts.   It's the perfect sized layer for an A2 card base. I used the Lawn Fawn Slimline Forest Border Die to create the hill. The banner is also part of the frame die set and I stamped and embossed the sentiment.  Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope you all have a wonderful holiday :)

Happy Holidays Card & DIY Bauble

Hi everyone, welcome! Leeds  here and today I'm sharing a set of holiday card and DIY Bauble. For the card, I  stamped all the images from Mama Elephant Little Panda Agenda , Lawn Fawn Beary Happy Holidays, and Lawn Fawn Winter Village  using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink Pad . I colored each image using Copic Markers, I also added a few highlights using white gel pen. I cut a white card stock using Lawn Fawn Snowy Backdrop Die and ink blended it with Seedless Preserves , Wilted Violet , Picked Raspberry , and Dried Marigold . Then, cut a white card stock using   Lawn Fawn Hillside Border Die and use Ranger glitter on the snow. I heat-embossed the sentiment using red embossing powder. Finally, assemble the card using double sided tape and foam tape, the holiday card was done. Now, let's moving on to the DIY Bauble. For this bauble, I used images from Lawn Fawn Beary Happy Holidays. I took a white card stock and ran it through my die cut machine with a scallop die slightly larger t

Let There be Peas on Earth!

Hi friends!! Sophie here and today I'm sharing this fun pop-up box card that was inspired by another card I created a long time ago on my instagram here . I hope you like it! :)  I used the Lawn Fawn pop-up box dies and some fun music-themed pattern paper to create the box base. To make the snowy bank inserts I used white cardstock and the Lawn Fawn Theater Box Add-On .  For those cutie little peas I used images from the Peas on Earth stamp set  and colored them with copic markers - I used the coordinating dies to cut them out.  I stacked the peas to form sort of a Christmas tree shape - I love their little singing faces!!  I hope you enjoyed this card and I hope you have a wonderful holiday! :) See you next week!

December mood board inspiration with Jane

Hi Friends!  I'm sharing this adorable little axolotl holiday card using inspiration from the December mood board.  I focused on using variations of blue to create a fun ink blended background for this card. There are hints of pink, gold and green but the primary focus is blue.  I think this little guy is just adorable! To start, I ink blended a background using the hillside stencils and the following distress inks (you can also use oxide inks): tumbled glass, cracked pistachio, salty ocean, stormy sky and unicorn white.  Next, I cut a panel using the largest outside in rectangle stackables die .  Then, using the second largest reverse stitched scallop circle die , I cut the center of the card.   Using copic friendly black ink , the images from the following sets were stamped:   Christmas fishes , I like you (a lotl), Yeti or not  (hat),  Mermaid for you Copic colors used: B34, B32, B00, G28, G17, G05, R20, RV02, RV00 Next, I used an A2 piece of pink glitter cardstock  for the

Holiday floral inspired by December moodboard

Hello friends! I'm so happy to be back on the blog to share my card inspired by the current moodboard challenge. Did you know there is an Instagram account for this challenge? Follow @BRImoodboardchallenge to play along with the monthly color challenge and you could win a $20 gift card to the shop! For today's card I used lots of products from Lawn Fawn using only die cuts. This is different from the cards I usually create but I'm happy with the end results. I really wanted to play with the stitched poinsettia die cuts after seeing all of the beautiful cards made with it.  To begin, I looked through my cardstocks and pulled out the colors similar to the moodboard. I know poinsettia's are normally red but I thought the pink and teal would be great together. I think it's such a pretty combination. I cut all the petals from pink cardstock and the leaves from a dark teal cardstock. To add some sparkle I cut the stamen from gold glitter cardstock.  For interest I ink bl

Cruisin' With Santa

Happy Friday, Everyone! I'm sharing a fun card with you today that I feel answers the age-old question of how Santa gets around when the reindeer have a day off. Well, I've been wanting to play with the December BRI mood board, of course! Have you played along yet?
