Sending Hugs Card by Tina

Hi crafty friends, Tina here with my last card for this DT term. These past three months have been amazing! Thank you so much Vanessa for inviting me to the team and a big hug to Samantha for helping me post my texts to the blog. You ladies are the best!! Today I share a sweet celebration card, featuring the adorable koala’s from Mama Elephant’s Koala Hugs and Little Koala Agenda . These two sets work so well together! The cute little ones are planning a party to surprise the sleeping koala! I started by cutting a green panel from the MFT Petite Gingham Paper Pad . Next I die cut three shakers windows in the top part of the panel using the Honey Bee Stamps Sentiment Banners dies and adhered a piece of acetate to the back of the panel. I filled up the shakers with some clear and star embellishments from my stash before closing them with a piece of scalloped white card stock. After stamping all my images onto a sheet of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock, I used my Copic markers fo...

Penguin Road Trip Card by Tina

Hello crafty friends, Tina here with a sweet road trip card! Aren’t these penguins from the Sunny Studio Passionate Penguins the cutest ever? I love that this set gives you so many adorable images, so the possibilities are endless! Today we are creating a mini slimline card with a mountain scene in the background. To start I stamped the sweet car image onto a sheet of Neenah Solar White 110lb Cardstock. I die cut the slimline first and then used a small dome die to cut into this panel. I stamped the mountain scene from Sunny Studio Country Scenes to this dome shape. Next, I drew a road for the car to drive on. All the coloring was done with Copic markers Copics used Car        BG11, BG13, BG34, Y11, T3, T5 Penguins    T5, T7, C9 Scene        T1, T3, V000, V12, BG13, BG11, E41, E42, E43, C1, C3, C5 To match the scene, I inked up the slimline panel with Spun Sugar distress oxides ink . Have a Happy Day Card by Tina

Hello crafty friends, Tina here with a colorful rainbow card for you today! To start I stamped all my images on Neenah Solar White 110lb Cardstock    Sunny Studio Heart Bouquet three times    The cute fox from Lawn Fawn Scootin’ By This card needed a bit of preparation because it involved selecting an assortment of copic markers. But once that selection is made, the coloring itself is a breeze. I die cut the images and placed the 3 balloon bouquets on top of each other so I could decide which balloon needed which color to create a rainbow effect from the bottom to the top. Copics used Reds        R22, R24, R37                                Orange    YR07, Y38 Yellow     Y15, Y19, Y02          ...

One of a Kind Rainbow Card

Hello! Samantha here, and today I'm excited to share my take on the February Mood Board ! The colors are so pretty and soft and whimsical! Don't you agree? Sigh, so pretty! For my card, I went with textures and whimsical and flowy-ness! I used alcohol inks in some golds and a mauve color all on some Yupo Paper . Love that whimsical background! Once it was dry, I used some white embossing paste and the Let's Go Camping Under the Stars stencil from Echo Park . I die cut out some rainbow arches using the Magical Rainbow die from MFT ! I added an ombre of color with Black Soot and Iced Spruce Distress Oxide Inks. I heat embossed the sentiment from the Heffy Doodle Fluffy Puffy Unicorns Stamp Set onto some vellum , and then finished off the card with some natural twine! Hope you play along with the Mood Board challenge this month! You can find all of the details here! Enjoy! ~ Samantha

Merry Christmas Card by Audrey Tokach

Hello friends!  Happy Christmas Eve to those who celebrate!  Audrey here with another project to share as guest designer for the month of December!  I have a card to share using stamps from another favorite company of mine, Paperie Ink!  To create my card, I started off by stenciling the Watercolor Wash Square Stencil from My Favorite Things onto a 4.25" x 5.5" piece of white cardstock using Distress Oxide inks in Shabby Shutters , Peeled Paint and Vintage Photo.  I stamped images from several Paperie Ink stamp sets , including Santa Baby , Like Christmas , and My Pawliday , and colored them with my Copic markers.  Then, I fussy cut them with my scissors, and arranged my little scene, adhering some elements flat with a glue pen and popping some up for dimension.  Under the scene, I added a strip of striped patterned paper, and a sentiment from the Lawn Fawn Offset Sayings Christmas stamp set .  To finish off my card, I added a scattering of Lawn...

Cozy Bear Scene Changing Card

Hi crafty friends! I have a confession: I am a patterned paper hoarder. I have paper from a decade ago that I still haven't used up because I think they are too pretty or too cute to use. Or I had a project I bought the papers for and I have long since abandoned the project. So I was super excited and super proud of myself for using some of my patterned paper in today's card! And I love scene changing type of cards so this card was a double win for me!  For today's card, I used multiple stamp sets to create this cozy scene. I stamped out images from several Lawn Fawn sets ( Den Sweet Den , Purrfectly Wicked , Window Scene: Winter , and Car Critters ). For the flowers in the vase, I used an image from The Cat's Meow by Mama Elephant and extended the stem with a black pen. To create the picture frame, I masked off the words and string from the frame in Den Sweet Den and stamped the little bear from Car Critters. For the couch and pillows, I stamped the images directly on...

Sweet Bitty Bears Fall Card

Hi crafty friends! I am so excited to share this card for a sweet friend made with the cutest squishy  bitty bears from MFT !  I colored the bears with Copic markers (listed below) and I had to give a nod to Harry Potter with that Gryffindor scarf! After cutting the bears out with the coordinating dies , I stamped out the trees from MFT's Modern Trees with Lawn Fawn inks ( artichoke , cilantro , pumpkin spice , chili pepper , sunflower , and walnut ) and cut out the trees with coordinating dies . I cut out grass pieces using landscape dies from Mama Elephant , ink blended them with Distress Inks (crushed olive and mowed lawn), and splattered with mowed lawn Distress Ink. I created an autumnal sky with Distress inks (scattered straw, spiced marmalade, abandoned coral) and splattered carved pumpkin Distress Ink onto the sky. You can definitely achieve the same effect using Distress Oxide Inks as well. I stamped out the sentiment with Versafine onyx black ink  (my favorite...

Nutty Squirrels Fall Card

Hi crafty friends! I'm back with a nutty card for a nutty friend! (And I mean nutty in a good way!) I love these cute, happy squirrels from Let's Go Nuts by Lawn Fawn . And even though I don't get to experience the beautiful fall colors where I live, I love colorful fall leaves... At least I can stamp and color fall leaves for this card! I stamped out the images from Let's Go Nuts and the tree branch from Jump for Joy . I used Copic markers (listed below) to color and then I cut out the images with the coordinating dies .  To create the background, I used speckled egg Distress Ink and the Lawn Fawn cloudy stencil to create subtle clouds. I also splattered more speckled egg ink. For the grass, I used the MFT grassy fields die to cut out some grass and added color using Distress Inks (fossilized amber, crushed olive, mowed lawn). The frame was cut from several layers of cardstock using the Backdrop from Lawn Fawn . The top frame was cut from Lawn Fawn Knit Picky patte...

Have a Happy Day! Card

Hi Crafty Friends! My name is Stephanie and today I'm sharing my first card on the blog! I just love making fall cards so for today's card, I used Lawn Fawn's Let's Go Nuts , The S'more the Merrier and Really High Five  stamp sets.  To start, I used Broken China Distress Oxide for the sky and My Favorite Things Grassy Fields diecut to set the scene. I cut out one of the trees from Lawn Fawn's Lift The Flap Tree Backdrop  and topped it by using the Simple Puffy Cloud Frames as tree tops. To give the tree tops a fall look, I used Spiced Marmalade and Crackling Campfire Distress Oxides. I also used some Crackling Campfire Distress Oxide as watercolor to add some little splatters to the tree tops.  My favorite part of the card is the little bunny jumping in the leaves! I used Lawn Fawn's Let's Toast Pull Tab  to make him jump up and down. Using this interactive die is so easy, I definitely recommend trying it if you haven't yet! I used Copics to ...

Grateful flowers

Hi there crafty peeps! I am SO happy to be back guesting on the BRI blog! I colored these gorgeous flowers from the MFT set Flowers in Bloom with Copics and added a little colored pencils for shading. After die-cutting them, I layered the flowers over the Reverse Confetti Woodgrain Confetti Cuts die that I had wrapped some kraft twine around. I also stamped the flowers with kraft ink onto the primitive white MFT cardstock. I layered the 'grateful' MFT die-namic (probably retired, I apologize!) over the twine and flower stems. Thanks for popping in! Happy Wednesday! Hugs, Angel

Christmas in August

Hi, BRI friends! It's Dana and I'm super excited to be here again. It's been a long while since I shared my card last time. It's already late August and I think it's perfect time to start making holiday cards for this year. Let's see what I came up with today :) To begin, I stamped Avery Elle Polar Bear Peek-A-Boo Pals Stamp Set images in black  and cut them out using scissors. I colored them with Copic markers and highlighted them with white pen . I pulled out bristol paper and die cut the snowy background using Avery Elle Falling Snow Die(retired). Then I ink blended it with Distress Oxide Inks using Mini Blending Tool . I mounted scallop frame which I die cut with MFT Stitched Rectangle Scallop Frames Die-namics using foam tape. Then, I foam mounted whole snowy panel onto A2 sized white card stock. I white heat embossed a sentiment from Avery Elle Polar Bear Peek-A-Boo Pals Stamp Set onto a piece of black card stock and popped it up w...

Unicorns & Rainbows

Hello there, friends! It's Christy from Christy Gets Crafty here today with a cute card featuring  My Favorite Things Fairy-tale Friends . These unicorns and rainbows are so much fun to color! And to make things even sweeter, I added in a few cupcakes from  Birdie Brown's Birth-Yay . After I stamped and colored all my images with Copic markers , I trimmed them out with the  matching dies.  Then I die-cut two cloud panels using  Lawn Fawn's Puffy Cloud Borders . I glued the back one down flat to the card base with liquid glue, then stamped my sentiment on the front panel with Lawn Fawn Black Licorice ink and popped it up with foam tape . I adhered my images with a combination of liquid glue and foam tape, then stamped out the little sparkle marks from A Little Sparkle in Forget-Me-Not and Moonstone ink . As a finishing touch, I dabbed on a bit of Crystal Stickles to my unicorns horn and wings, the rainbow, and cupcake liners to  bring some...

Hello Summer!

Hello everyone! It's Ashley with a variation on the magical rain shaker card - a falling rainbow! I started by creating my cloud background with the My Favorite Things Mini Cloud Edges stencil and Lawn Fawn Mermaid Ink . I die cut another piece of white cardstock using Lawn Fawn Outside In Stitched Scalloped Squares and an A2 stitched rectangle so I could see where my window would be. I also embossed the sentiment from Sunny Studio Stamps Fabulous Flamingos with Versafine Onyx Black and clear powder . I framed the window with foam tape and created the falling rainbow by stringing multiple colors of beads diagonally across the background. It helps to use double sided tape to hold the string in place on the foam! Once all the beads were on, I added a second layer of foam tape to sandwich the strings in place and give plenty of space for the beads to move. Tip: if the beads are sticking, add a bit of anti-static powder to the sides of the foam tape - no more sticking...

Happy Birthday Chickens!

Hello everyone, I'm back with a birthday day card.  It was such a nice weekend here after having what felt like weeks of rain I wanted to make something bright a cheery. My daughter loves chickens so this is a card for her birthday which is in a few days. I used MFT stamps and dies for this card.  I started with the chickens from The Whole Heard and coloured them in with my copics. I then used the stitched rounded rectangles and grass dies and cut them out of some green card stock that I had left in my stash and added one layer with glue and the other I popped up with foam tape. I then added the sentiment with black ink and I thought the top of the card was missing something so I found a couple of clouds in my baggie of extra die cuts.  I don't know who these are from but we have tons of cloud dies in the shop . Thanks for taking the time to have a look at my card.  I hope you get a chance to head over to the shop and browse all the wonderful go...

Sunshine and Rainbow Clouds!

Hello and happy Friday everyone! It's Ashley with a card full of sparkly, rainbow goodness! Today I'm going to share two ways that you can make this rainbow cloud glitter background for your cards! It really is the perfect backdrop for this sweet unicorn from Hello Bluebird. There are actually two ways you can make this background! For both, you are going to need the cloud stencil from MFT and a variety of Distress Oxide inks. I used Worn Lipstick , Spiced Marmalade , Fossilized Amber , Squeezed Lemonade , Cracked Pistachio , Tumbled Glass , Mermaid Lagoon , Wilted Violet , and Shaded Lilac . Whew! The first way to do this is to stencil the clouds on a plain piece of white cardstock. I started at the top and worked my way down, trying to keep my blending and colors soft. Once you finish, let the ink dry or hit it with a heat tool. Then cover the whole panel with a very thin layer of Tonic Nuvo Glimmer Paste in Moonstone . I used a palette knife to do this, but you can...

Flipping Adore You!

Hi, Butterfly Reflections fans! Toni here and I'm head over heels for this card featuring Lawn Fawn Magic Picture Changer dies paired with the Neat and Tangled Jumped for Joy set! I highly recommend you watch the LF intro video on using the dies. After that it's a snap! I started my card by completing the Lawn Fawn Magic Picture Changer section first--you know, the fun part! I stamped and colored the Neat and Tangled Jumped for Joy hedgie with Memento Tuxedo Black on both sliding pieces so it would appear he was bouncing on the trampoline.  Notice the trampoline is stamped on the LF MGC frame.  The images are colored with Copics. Next I sponged the MFT Mini Cloud Edges stencil with Distress Oxide Peacock Feathers .  Isn't he so cute bouncing? Eeeeeeee! Once the slider was assembled, I stamped the sentiment with Versafine Onyx Black and set it aside while I did the card base. The pull tab and base paper are from the Lawn Fawn Spring Fling ...
