Have a Magical Day!

Hi crafty friends!! I am SO excited to be back on the blog sharing this fun Swish 'n Pop card I made using some new and old Lawn Fawn.... I hope you like it! :)  I used the Puffy Cloud Backdrop with some Spiffy Speckles paper to create the sky background for my scene. The cutie unicorns come from the Unicorn Picnic stamp set (coordinating dies, here )!  When you pull the tab, that sweet little unicorn hides behind the cloud! I LOVE this new interactive die set from lawn fawn - it is SO fun!  I am beyond honored to be invited back as a guest on the blog today and I hope to share another card with you all soon! :)  Hugs! Sophie
Good morning crafters and card makers! Heather here today to share a slimline card that I created using some goodies from the shop! I don’t know about you, but just love ALL of the Avery Elle Peek-a-Boo critters!!  They’ve got all of these super fun accessories and I love that Vanessa stocks all of these great items in the shop!  For my card I started out by stamping a few Avery Elle images onto Strathmore Watercolor Paper .  The images I chose today are from the Polar Bear Peek-a-Boo Pals   Stamp Set (Walrus, Fox, & scarves), the Peek-a-Boo Coaster Stamp Set (the cute Owl), as well as a few bumper cars from the Peek-a-Boo Fair Stamp Set .  I stamped all of these images using Ink on 3's super cool Fade out Ink so that I could create a “no-line” coloring look. Next I went to work coloring all of the images using water color pencils and a paint brush with clean water on it. Nuvo has a variety of fun sets of Watercolor Pencils and you can find them in t...

Hope Your Day Glows!

Hi everyone, Ashley here and I'm so excited to be back on the Butterfly Reflections Ink blog to share another card with you! Today I reached back for the Lawn Fawn Little Fireflies stamp set, but tried to incorporate a Reveal Wheel mechanism into the card. Here's what I came up with! First, I created the background by blending Distress Oxide ink in Black Soot onto a piece of cardstock, and then splattering it with water and yellow watercolour paint. I then cut it down with the basic Lawn Fawn Reveal Wheel die - that's the piece you can see behind the word "glows". I also cut a piece of black glitter cardstock with the basic Lawn Fawn Reveal Wheel die , and trimmed the top edge down using the Lawn Fawn Puffy Cloud Border die . Finally, I splattered some basic black cardstock with shimmer, and cut those pieces the same way - first, with the basic Reveal Wheel die, and then with the Puffy Cloud Border die. I assembled all the pieces together using glue and...

Trampoline Cuties!

Hi everyone, Ashley here and I'm so happy to be back on the Butterfly Reflections Ink blog! I'm still getting lots of use out of the new Lawn Fawn Spring 2020 release, and today I have another card to share using their Really High Five stamp set. To make this card, I first stamped out the adorable bunny and mouse, as well as the trampoline and little jump lines, from the Lawn Fawn Really High Five stamp set in Lawn Fawn Jet Black ink , and coloured in the images with Copic markers. I cut them out, leaving a small white border. I then put together the slider mechanism. First, I cut the rectangular sunshine piece from Lawn Fawn's Hello Sunshine Remix paper pad . I then cut two slider channels into it using Lawn Fawn's Slide on Over dies. I placed foam on the back of the panel, making sure to leave lots of space for the slider elements to slide around in their channels. After placing a couple dimes in the spots they should be to slide, I then stuck the whole ...

A Typewriter Love Card!

Hi everyone, Ashley here and I'm so excited to be back on the Butterfly Reflections Ink blog! My wonderful husband gifted me the Lawn Fawn Love Poems and You're Just My Type stamp sets, along with the coordinating Reveal Wheel Square Window Add-On die set for my birthday earlier this year. It was such a sweet and thoughtful gift (guided a little by my crafty wish list!) and I couldn't wait to start playing with it. So many talented crafters have already made a version of this card, but I had to start by creating the typical typewriter scene, with the sentiments being revealed through the reveal wheel! To make the background, I just drew some stripes with a navy blue watercolour paint across a piece of white paper. I then splattered it with gold watercolour and let it dry while I assembled the rest of the card. For the ground, I cut a piece of Lawn Fawn Knock on Wood patterned paper and cut the border with the Lawn Fawn Stitched Borders X-patterned die, just t...

Toadally Awesome Sliding Fun!

Hi everyone! It's Ashley again and I'm so happy to be back on the Butterfly Reflections Ink blog! Today's card is built around Lawn Fawn's Toadally Awesome stamp set. This stamp set is from an older Lawn Fawn release, so there are already a bunch of amazing examples out there using this set for inspiration. I hadn't picked it up when it was originally released, but after seeing everyone else using it I was swayed! So now I feel like it's my turn to play with it - yay! I started by stamping out all of the cute images with Lawn Fawn Jet Black ink , and coloring them in with a variety of Copic markers. Most of the images are from the Toadally Awesome stamp set, but the fireflies are from Lawn Fawn's Little Fireflies stamp set. This is a super cute mini set that I plan on focusing on for an upcoming card! It was then time to build the background. I cut a piece of watercolour paper using Lawn Fawn's Stitched Pond dies, and then used Tim Holtz D...

Do Re Me Ow

Hello friends!  This is Crystal here today and Merry Christmas (though surely you are all enjoying the magic of being with your friends and families right now and hopefully not spending the day reading here)!  But, in spite of Christmas, the rest of the world goes on and today is my last day sharing as a member of the Butterfly Reflections, Ink Design Team.  A new team is currently being selected and will be announced soon to kick off the new year!  I hope some of YOU applied because it is such a wonderful experience!   I am so grateful to Vanessa for selecting me to be a part of her team.  I have discovered many new creative friends along the way and I have even been offered some amazing new opportunities as a result. Today I am sharing a pop-up card featuring the Do Re Me Ow stamp set from Trinity Stamps .  It's a perfect set for me because of my love of cats and these punny sentiments are over the top!  I purchased this stamp set ...

Mice on Ice

Hello crafty readers!  This is Crystal here with you today sharing a multiple interactive card!  I put off purchasing this adorable "Mice On Ice" stamp set for as long as I possibly could, but in a war between my wallet and Lawn Fawn products, my wallet loses. Nearly every single time!  I added three different interactive components all on this one A2 sized card.  The bottom left corner is a shaker, the top left mice are on Mini Action Wobbles and the mice on the top right are only visible when you lift the flap.  Card details:   The base of this A2 sized card is made from Neenah Solar White Smooth cardstock.  Using the Lawn Fawn Peekaboo Backdrop Lawn Cuts , I cut the frame from raspberry cardstock.  On the top upper right corner, I added a lift the flap die to the frame.  I stamped the sentiment in raspberry ink.  I stamped all of the mice images in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Neenah Solar White cardstock.  ...

Spooky Village Surprise

Hi friends! This is Crystal here today sharing a spooky slider card with you today featuring the new fall release Spooky Village stamp set by Lawn Fawn.  One of the things I love most about all of the Lawn Fawn products is that they are designed to coordinate uniformly across the entire product line.  This means they are perfect for mixing and matching! Even if I didn't necessarily do that on today's card, I love having that option. I recently learned how to assemble the Lawn Fawn Double Slider Surprise Die and I've been making them ever since!  You can see my others samples here and here .  I strongly encourage newbies, or even those who might need a refresher, to watch the Introductory Videos on YouTube by Kelly Marie Alvarez (the owner of Lawn Fawn) and they are a game changer.  Whether it is the Double Slider Surprise Die , the Lawn Fawn Pivot Pop Up Die , the Lawn Fawn Magic Picture Changer Die or any other Lawn Fawn product, s...

Frightfully Sweet Surprise

Hello crafty friends!  This is Crystal here today sharing all of My Favorite Things (literally!) in one Frightfully Sweet double slider surprise card!  This card combines my love of Halloween, interactive components, cute critters and candy!  What's not to love!? Last weekend I was in Vermont on an annual craft retreat and I brought my Lawn Fawn Double Slider Surprise Die with me because, well, I've owned it for over two years now and it's high time I learned HOW to use it!  I think the Lawn Fawn Double Slider Surprise is such a cool card, but I was very intimidated by putting it all together.  I strongly encourage newbies to watch the Introductory Videos on YouTube by Kelly Marie Alvarez (the owner of Lawn Fawn) and they are a game changer.  Whether it is the Double Slider Surprise Die , the Lawn Fawn Pivot Pop Up Die , the Lawn Fawn Magic Picture Changer Die or any other Lawn Fawn product, she walks you through step-by-step instructions on how to ass...
