Sending Hedgehugs

Hi everyone! This is Tina here and I have a Fall themed shaker card to share featuring some super cute Lawn Fawn Dies. To create the background I used some Distress Inks in Ripe Persimmon, Spiced Marmalade, Mustard Seed, Squeezed Lemonade, Mowed, Lawn, Shabby Shutters and Twisted Citron. I splattered the background and cut it out using the Mama Elephant Sweet Feline Dies . I stamped and embossed the sentiment from the Lawn Fawn Hedgehugs stamps.  Next, I cut out several layers of the pumpkin to create a shaker using the Lawn Fawn Stitched Pumpkin Frame die . I filled it using sequins from my stash.   I pieced together the adorable hedgehog from the Lawn Fawn Tiny Gift Box Hedgehog Add on Die  and hid him behind the shaker.  Finally I cut out the leaves from the Pumpkin Die as well as the Acorn House Die and inked them up around the edges.  I think it turned out so cute! I hope you do too! Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope you have a great day :)

Fall Themed Lawn Fawn Shutter Card

Hi friends!! Sophie here and today I'm sharing this fall-themed encouragement card using some of the ADORABLE new products from Lawn Fawn. I hope you find this inspiring! :)  To begin I stamped out some of the adorable little squirrels from the Lawn Fawn Let's Go Nuts Stamp set and used the coordinating dies to cut them out after I colored them with Copics.  Then, I used the new Lawn Fawn Shutter Card dies to cut a piece of Lawn Fawn Speckled Egg cardstock to use as the card base. I ink blended a soft blue background using Lawn Fawn Kiddie Pool ink . I added some trees using the Lawn Fawn Birch Trees die cut from Lawn Fawn woodgrain paper to make it feel forest-y. For the grass I cut a piece of patterned paper using a grassy borders die. To make the shutter panel I used the Shutter Card add-on dies to cut from the same woodgrain cardstock and I stuck that cute little squirrel inside the aperture - he is just so happy and adorable! :) I hope you enjoyed my card t...

Good morning crafters and card makers! Heather here today to share a slimline card that I created using some goodies from the shop! I don’t know about you, but just love ALL of the Avery Elle Peek-a-Boo critters!!  They’ve got all of these super fun accessories and I love that Vanessa stocks all of these great items in the shop!  For my card I started out by stamping a few Avery Elle images onto Strathmore Watercolor Paper .  The images I chose today are from the Polar Bear Peek-a-Boo Pals   Stamp Set (Walrus, Fox, & scarves), the Peek-a-Boo Coaster Stamp Set (the cute Owl), as well as a few bumper cars from the Peek-a-Boo Fair Stamp Set .  I stamped all of these images using Ink on 3's super cool Fade out Ink so that I could create a “no-line” coloring look. Next I went to work coloring all of the images using water color pencils and a paint brush with clean water on it. Nuvo has a variety of fun sets of Watercolor Pencils and you can find them in t...

Thanksgiving Table Placards

Hi friends and Happy Thanksgiving Eve day!  This is Crystal here and, first, if you are traveling today (or anytime this week) I wish you safe travels and hope that each of you have a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday with friends and family.  Today I am sharing some simple Thanksgiving table placards that were made using the Pretty Pink Posh Winter Wreath stamp set and coordinating dies .  Truth be told, Pretty Pink Posh also has an autumn wreath stamp set that would have worked for these placards too, but since I didn't buy that one, I was able to turn the winter wreath into more of a fall theme simply by using more traditional fall colors.  Use what ya have, right!?  I also didn't know the names of everyone who will be attending Thanksgiving dinner at my aunt's house, so instead of personalizing the placards, I used various sentiments instead.     Project details:  These placards are 3 1/2" square.  I simply folded a ...

Harvest Happiness

Hello crafty friends!  This is Crystal here today to inspire you to begin thinking about Thanksgiving (if you haven't already).   I know that next week is Halloween, but soon enough, turkey day will be here, and it's my all-time favorite holiday to spend with "framily" (that's friends and family for those of you who haven't heard this fun term)!  Some also call is "Friendsgiving."  I have a lot to be thankful for and I count my blessings on this day filled with my four favorite "F" words - family, friends, football and food! ; ) Today I'm sharing this Thanksgiving inspired card featuring the Harvest Happiness stamp set by Sunny Studio and it's all about the best foods of Thanksgiving.  Pumpkin, turkey and pie!  Though in my opinion the only thing missing from this stamp set is some good ol' canned cranberry sauce from Ocean Spray!  YUM!   The base of this A2 sized card is made from Neenah Solar White Smoo...

Pumpkin Spice & Everything Nice

Hello friends!  This is Crystal here today and I am sharing two cards that I created from the same Newton's Nook Pumpkin Latte stamp set .  While I'm not actually a fan of the PSL, I've never met an overly nutmegged chai latte that I don't loooooooove!  And, I'll always say yes to pumpkin bread , pumpkin pie and pumpkin soup .  Basically, if there's any combo of pumpkin and sugar ( except for a PSL ) , I'm your girl!   : ) I have been seeing a lot of orange and teal color combinations for fall and I've been loving it, so it inspired me to create these cards in colors that I might not usually select together and I've very happy with the outcome. The base of this A2 sized card is made from teal cardstock.  I mounted a 5 1/4" x 4" piece of teal gingham paper from the Sunny Studios Classic Gingham 6" x 6" paper pack .  Using a framed die, I also cut a piece of Lawn Fawn Watercolor Wishes paper pack .  On this ...

It's the Great PINK Pumpkin!

Happy Sunday crafty friends, Ashley D. here!  So excited to be back on the Butterfly Reflections Ink Blog today and share with you this fun modern fall card with inspiration taken from the new October BRI Mood Board and Sketch challenge.  I’m just loving all these somewhat non-traditional fall colors!   I was totally drawn to those super cool pink pumpkins, and the lovely dark greens and aqua!  For this card, I began by blending Distress Oxide Spun Sugar and Worn Lipstick inks onto two pieces of Bristol Smooth Cardstock.  I die cut one with the new Lawn Fawn Stitched Pumpkin Frame die, and the other with the Lawn Fawn Outside In Stitched Pumpkin die.   I then splattered both pumpkins with a bit of Light Gold watercolor paint from the Gansai Tambi Starry Colors palette.  For the background, I adhered a piece of Lawn Fawn Let’s Polka In the Meadow - Dew Drop Line Dance paper to a white card base, framed with a white scallo...

Conquering Your Creative Fears

Hello friends!  Cheers to Wednesday, you've made it halfway through the week!  This is Crystal here today and I'm sharing a bit about conquering my creative fears.  Would you believe that I own ALL the Tim Holtz Distress Oxide inks , but am too afraid to use them!?  It's true!  I see the beautiful backgrounds and unique watercolor designs that other artists create with these water reactive inks, but when I try to do it, the end result looks like I let an unattended 5-year-old loose in my craft room!  I struggle with uniform blending, too much/too little water and the root of all evil - comparison.  Theodore Roosevelt said, " Comparison is the thief of joy " and I remind myself of this every time I'm scrolling Instagram and Pinterest.  Today, I'm here to conquer one of my own creative fears and hopefully I can encourage you to do the same! Today's card uses the new Fall Fox stamp set by Sugar Pea Designs.  This is a "slimline" card t...

Thank you for Everything!!!

Hello Friends Waleska here from craftinglovew happy to be back at the Butterfly Reflections Ink blog to share some inspiration for fall with the Amazing new Mood Board.   Have you play along with this beautiful board?  I couldn´t resist myself to make two projects for this challenge... CARD DETAILS: To create this card I started with the background, blending some oxide inks and regular inks. I started with Peakcoak Feathers  and Fossilized Amber Oxide Ink s for the other tone I used Peachy Keen Lawn Fawn Ink.   I used Gansai Tambi Starry colors watercolors in color Yellow Gold to splatter the background and some water too.  I colored the cute, cute, cute dear from the Helloblue Bird set Fall Friends with copic markers also matching the colors in the Mood Board, hand cut it and adhere it to the center of the card.  I stamped the sentiment from the same set with Onyx Black ink. To add a more fall vibe to this...
