Perfect Peacock Pair

  Hello crafters! Ali here from alilovescardmaking ( instagram /youtube) with two cards in one of my favorite colour combinations: purple and green (well, turquoise really). I always think of Peacocks when these colours combine....is that the same for anyone else? I have used the fabulous Concord & 9th Dahlia Turnabout Die to create a stencil and produced these pair of bright and striking cards. I used some heavy weight card to create the stencil - this is because it does become quite saturated with ink if you are making a few cards at the same time, and the 'gaps' between the leaves can get delicate and tear if your paper is thin (trust me I know this from experience!!) you will need to cut and 'turn' the die 4 times - I just turned my paper 90 degrees after each cut and then used my eye to line the die up again (hint: turn the paper over and check from the back that your cut lines are not ;overlapping' with your last cut - I learned this f...

Hello everyone and welcome back!!   Laurie  here to share a card using a couple of different companies.  I love combining products from different brands and today I'm using Create A Smile and My Favourite Things. I started by using the  Botanical Love  set from Create A Smile and placing a few of the images on my  Misti . I knew I wanted to create some sort of "frame of flowers". After you have your first corner stamp placed, it's as easy as flipping your card panel around to get an exact match on the other corner, does that make sense??  I needed to do some simple masking to add my last images. An here is the finishing stamping!! It's very plain with some rather large gaps, but I'll fix that!!  I chose orange, teal, blue and pink as my color palette.  I used alcohol markers to color in the flowers.
