One of a Kind Rainbow Card

Hello! Samantha here, and today I'm excited to share my take on the February Mood Board ! The colors are so pretty and soft and whimsical! Don't you agree? Sigh, so pretty! For my card, I went with textures and whimsical and flowy-ness! I used alcohol inks in some golds and a mauve color all on some Yupo Paper . Love that whimsical background! Once it was dry, I used some white embossing paste and the Let's Go Camping Under the Stars stencil from Echo Park . I die cut out some rainbow arches using the Magical Rainbow die from MFT ! I added an ombre of color with Black Soot and Iced Spruce Distress Oxide Inks. I heat embossed the sentiment from the Heffy Doodle Fluffy Puffy Unicorns Stamp Set onto some vellum , and then finished off the card with some natural twine! Hope you play along with the Mood Board challenge this month! You can find all of the details here! Enjoy! ~ Samantha

Magical Winter

Hello, BRI fans!  Toni here with my first post as a member of the BRI design team. I so look forward to sharing my creations with you over the coming months! I'm using Neat and Tangled Stay Cool images that I stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black and colored with Copics . I've been interested in creating more shading lately so relied heavily on BV23. You can especially see it on the dark areas of the fur on the girl's clothing. Once the images were colored up I chose some Echo Park Celebrate Winter paper to use for the sky and hills. I diecut the hills using Lawn Fawn Stitched Hillside Borders . I love that the hillside is in an unexpected patterned paper that totally works for the scene.  Lastly I popped the images up on foam tape and stamped a sentiment from Lawn Fawn Frosty Fairy Friends onto a strip of white cardstock using Versafine Onyx Black . Feel free to check out my blog, Frankie Helps Craft , to see my other creations.  In the meantime, stay warm a...

"The heart of my home" 12 x 12 Scrapbook layout //Pink Paislee Auburn Lane

Hi, friends... Heather here to share a scrapbook layout with you...Its still Summer, but this time of year, I am counting the days until fall!  I love fall..it is my favorite season....therefore, I couldn't wait any longer to use the gorgeous Auburn Lane collection from Pink Paislee ...This collection was released a couple of months ago and can be used for any occasion, but there are definitely fall accents and the colors are beautiful!  The picture is of my two daughters sitting at our dining table last year on Thanksgiving...My husband hosted dinner that year and I love presenting the food on a festive table!   The background is a Kaisercraft wood grain patterned paper from my stash and fits right in with the dusty fall colors of this collection.  I added a layer of clear gesso and then started on my mixed media background...now, anyone who likes to create mixed media backgrounds knows that in the end, most of it is covered by the photo an...

Oh Christmas Tree

Hey there, crafty friends! I'm really happy to be here sharing this holiday card with you. Creating this card really got me in the holiday spirit! I started out by creating the background. I used the Echo Park Oh Christmas Tree stencil and my Lucky Clover Distress Oxide ink and blending tool to create the vibrant background. I then used a Hero Arts Christmas tree layering stamp  to create my Christmas tree. I used various shades of green ink and then used Versamark ink and white embossing powder on the last layer to create the snowy look on the branches. I then used a small circle stamp and red pigment ink to create the ornaments. Because I was adding these ornaments as the last layer on the tree, I knew I needed to use pigment ink since it would sit on top of all the other layers of ink. After finishing the tree, I die cut it out with an oval die , and then I used the frame die in the set to cut a red frame from scrap cardstock. I brushed the edges with Candied Ap...

Don't Blink!!

Hello! Samantha here, and today I'm sharing a FUN layout about our super BRIEF encounter with 'snow' here in South Carolina, last winter! It was SOOOO quick, it melted before touching the ground, and if you blinked, you would miss it! Ha! But it still counts, right?! Ha! I started by using gesso on my background, and then went crazy with the watercolor and paints in peaches, pinks, purples and black! SO FUN! Super loving that color combination! :) The gesso protects the white cardstock from deteriorating from all of the water and paints!  Once it was all dry, I used some white embossing paste and this AMAZING Knight Sky Stencil by Echo Park to add some stars and texture! After attaching those fabbie wood veneer chevrons, I covered them in clear glitter Stickles !! LOOOOOOVE that look!  And even though this is a winter layout, I used LOTS of ephemera from the Pink Paislee Summer Lights collection!! The pinks and purples were perfect matches! I also added ...

Mood Board Inspired Layout

Hello again! Samantha here with you today, and I'm sharing a fun layout inspired by the AMAZING September Mood Board ! Oh, I just love it! That navy, swoon!!! Ha! Anyway, so I created a layout of all my Menn walking out of hockey practice earlier this year! LOVE them! So fun, right? I started by adding some navy watercolor with the Gasnai Tambi watercolors ! Once that layer was dry, I went in with some white embossing paste and this adorable Knight Sky stencil from Echo Park ! I used a combination of whit Thickers and the Mini Gold Dot Puffy Alphas from Evalicious ! Soooo fun! Oh, and I used a bunch of papers from various 6x6 paper collections I have! Lastly, I added some sprinkles of enamel dots and wooden/epoxy buttons from Crate Paper's Little You collection ! LOOOOOVE! this is my favorite little snapshot of the layout - love those colors! Well, I hope this made you smile! And, if you're like me, you're wishing for the fall weather!! Ha! B...

Yo Ho Ho

Hey crafty friends, it's Christy here. Today I've got a super duper fun card for your guys featuring the new  Neat & Tangled Yo Ho Ho  stamp set. When I was a little girl, I used to pretend I was a Pirate Princess, so this set just spoke so much to my inner child. I actually created TWO cards because I wanted to use every image. The boy version is on my blog , if you'd like to check that out. :) I colored my images with Copic markers and die cut them with the  matching dies , then combined them with the perfect papers --  Echo Park's Pirate's Life . Aren't they just a match made in heaven? I die cut my focal panel with the  MFT Wonky Stitched Rectangle Die-namics , then popped it up with some foam tape over my card base. As a finishing touch, I added a few Pretty Pink Posh 4mm  and  6mm Clear Droplets  with some  Ranger Multi Medium Matte I also stamped an additional sentiment on the inside using  Lawn Fawn Walnut Ink , ...

Best Wishes

Happy Friday everyone! Gladys here and I would like to share this card I created in celebration of the new year ahead. Whoo hoo!! Are you all ready for 2017? For my card panel I wanted to use a skyline and fireworks so what could be better than the New York skyline right? I don't have a fireworks stamp so I had to improvise a bit. I used the firework stencil from Echo Park. I knew I was going to create a night sky with distress inks so instead of distressing the stencil I embossed it instead. I didn't think it would work but it turned out pretty good and it wasn't that difficult to do. I did use tape to make sure I don't put the embossing ink where it shouldn't go then from there I poured silver pearl  embossing powder and melted it with a heat tool. I distressed the background with blueprint sketch , seedless preserves , and abandoned coral . I cut the NY skyline on black card stock and adhered it to the panel using double sided foam tape for dimension...

Hi there! I used Allison Kreft Hello World , DIY Simple Stories and Echo Park Capure Life ! :) Honestly, I am a 6x6 paper pad ADDICT and there are sooooo many in the shop! I never check out without getting another one...or two...  *whistle* I altered the patterned paper by spraying on and spritzing on it with lots of fold mist! Totally adding to the already BOLD and awesome pattern! I used this super AMAZING die from Memory Box for those cool clouds!! LOVE! I used a strip of washi put on the side over some patterned paper and then heat embossed the sentiment! ...

hello my friend

Hello everyone, its Chitra here with a card to share.. I played with the beautiful papers from Echo Park Capture Life.. Don't you love that paper, every single pattern in this pad is gorgeous... I have used Avery Elle's Simply Said hello die on the design paper and also on plain white cardstock. Then I stacked up all pieces together to create five thicker die-cuts and adhered them to the card base. Here is a close up.. The image is also from Avery Elle called Red and Goldie, I colored this cutie with Copics. I so wanted to try this technique and I am happy how this turned out.. Hope you liked it too. You can check all the products in the shop here .. Hugs, Chitra

Corn Hole

Hi Everyone!  I'm back with a layout using a BUNCH of items from the store.  I had these adorable pictures of Reagan playing Corn Hole with her dad when we spent the weekend at the beach with family. I just love how yellow and blue look together and this layout was the perfect opportunity to use them.      I still had some leftover Simple Stories Good Day Sunshine and thought since this is a summer themed layout, hey why not?!  Vanessa also sent my some Fancy Pants buttons with a nautical theme.  That's what gave me the idea to do a layered cluster of embellishments below the photos.  I used these frames from both The Pier collection and Maggie Holmes to ground them.   I backed my journaling card from Jillibean Soup with paper from the Echo Park paper. I hope you guys enjoyed and use this layout style as a sketch for your next layout!  ---Nicole

Aloha!!!

Happy Monday!!! Danielle here with a fun nautical card for you today.  I love how the nautical theme is very trendy this summer.  I live in Florida..so this is everyday life for me!  I recently got the Avery Elle Stamp set - Surfs Up and the Echo Park Ahoy There 6x6 paper pad . I thought they worked perfectly together.  I used some versamark ink and clear embossing powder to have the fun windy clouds in the background. I love the subtle look I achieved.  I then used the Hero Arts Mid Tone Ink in Navy  to stamp the Mahalo a few times.  It matches perfectly!  I then cut a banner out of some vellum in my stash.  Stamped and embossed my Happy Birthday sentiment on the Echo Park Paper. To finish it off I added a piece of bakers twine! BAM! Ta-Da!  The goodies I used can be found in the Butterfly Reflections Ink Shop! I was so excited when I received some new goodies and HAD to use them! I love the look the Lawn Fawn die adds to a CAS card. 'Hello' Friend Card

Hello, Butterfly Reflections, Ink friends! This is Jessi Pascarella from Kissin' Krafts ! I am so excited to be a part of this fun design team and look forward to meet new friends along the way! Let me give you a quick bio about me and then on to showing you my first BRI project! I live in Texas with my lovely husband of 10 years and am a stay at home mom of 3 kiddos. Two boys, 8 & 6, and one daughter, 4. I have been paper-crafting for over a decade now. Mostly cards, but love to try altered projects and a few layouts. My style tends to be CAS, but I do try to challenge myself with different styles and techniques. For my first project, I decided to create a fun card to say 'HELLO' to my new BRI friends. The ideas started to flow once I got this Lawn Fawn 6x6 paper pad in my hands. I started off with creating the scene from this fun Avery Elle stamps , stamped onto watercolor paper. Now I have to admit, this was my first time painting a scene...and...
