New home Reveal Wheel with Peter

Hi everyone! My brother and his family moved into a new house so it was time for me to make a card. What better way to wish their house becomes a home soon with a handmade card? A while back I invested in the Reveal Wheel stencils . They aren't needed to create a successful Reveal Wheel card, but it makes it really easy and way quicker! So I decided to put them to work with this fun Reveal Wheel card. I have three nephews so I figured it would be fun to use the Build-A-Castle die set to create a fun castle on the card for them. I paired it with the Tiny Fairy Tale stamp set. Because admit it, how cute is that?! For the background I made clouds using the Cloudy Stencil and Distress Oxide . To break a habit of using Tumbled Glass (which is a great color for clouds) I used Salvaged Patina instead. It turned out great! To make the hill, I used Rustic Wilderness and Mowed Lawn . I cut the hill with one of the Simple Stitched Hillside Borders dies. The sentiment is from the Happy ...

Care bear rainbow reveal wheel card with Leontine

Hello everyone! My name is Leontine and I’m very excited to be on the design team for the next few months. I'm a teacher from the Netherlands and I've been married for almost five years now. I started making cards in May 2019 and I've been sharing all of my creations on Instagram and on my YouTube channel. Today I’m posting my first card on this blog and it's a bright and colorful one . I’m going to tell you how I made this card. First I die cut the reveal wheel with the puffy cloud add-on from some white cardstock. Then I used one of the hillside stencils and made a duplicate out of some white cardstock. Now I had the perfect way to add all of my distress inks. I used worn lipstick , dried marigold , squeezed lemonade , twisted citron , salvaged patina and wilted violet . I made sure the colors came from the cloud and got bigger towards the bottom of the card. Next I grabbed the starry sky stencil and used spun sugar , dried marigold , squeezed lemonade ...

Shoot for the Stars!

Hey crafty friends! It's  Julia  here! Today I want to share a fun night sky Reveal Wheel card with you! First I stamped my images from Super Star and Tree Before 'n' Afters onto Transotype Perfect Coloring paper and colored them in using  Copic Markers .   I die cut the Lawn Fawn  Grassy Hillside Borders  twice out of black cardstock as well as the the Reveal Wheel pieces out of bristol smooth cardstock. After that I ink blended the sky as well as the moving part of the Reveal Wheel with Milled Lavender , Shaded Lilac , Blueprint Sketch and Chipped Sapphire Distress Oxide as well as Black Soot Distress Ink. I added lots of shimmery silver splatters using Finetec Metallic Watercolors .  I heat embossed my sentiment straight onto the lowest of the grassy hills. I also heat embossed lots of litte silver stars onto the background and I added different silver embossed constellations to the reveal wheel openings. This way when you spin the wheel y...

Bugs and Kisses Birthday Card

Hi Everyone, it's Peggy here with a sweet birthday card with some cute bugs! Let me tell you how I made this card! I recently treated myself to the Lawn Fawn reveal wheel and I'm having such a blast with it! It is one of the more easy interactive cards in the LF collection and once you get the hang of it, you'll never stop making reveal wheel cards :) I started by cutting my papers to size and used Lawn Fawn Hello Sunshine Remix and Let it Shine paper collections. Next I stamped out my images from A Bug Deal in Lawn Fawn Jet Black ink and colored them with my copics. I cut out the cover plate of the reveal wheel set from Hello Sunshine Remix, the spinning piece from some white cardstock and the little arrow out of Lawn Fawn Raspberry Cardstock . I used the reveal wheel templates to stamp the texts from Lawn Fawn Reveal Wheel Sentiments. I put my card together using a small brad and a bunch of foam dots. Just be sure to keep the foam free of the spinning parts. Lastly I a...

Brighter days ahead.

Hello.  I've been just a little obsessed with the gray-to-color transition idea lately.  I think the concept is just so fitting for this strange time ... social distancing and separations can be bleak, but I want to hang on to the hope that brighter days are ahead.  I have a few examples to share with you today.  All supplies are listed below each card and are available in the shop .  Vanessa is offering a 10% discount on all orders during this stay-at-home time! My first card is a reveal wheel card.  The wheel rotates through a gray world, to a world with some color, to a full-color world.  The fairy with the heart wand is "sending love" ... both to the world and the card recipient! SUPPLIES USED: Lawn Fawn reveal wheel Lawn Fawn reveal wheel circle add-on Lawn Fawn fairy friends stamp set and coordinating dies Lawn Fawn out of this world stamp set and coordinating dies Lawn Fawn science of love stamp set and simply sentime...

On my mind.

I recently ordered the Lawn Fawn reveal wheel die from the shop . I L-O-V-E it. Making cards with little surprises is so much fun! I made the top layer of this card using the new Lawn Fawn cloud stencil and tumbled glass distress oxide ink . I want to show a picture of just this step because that stencil is magical. The clouds it creates are so light and dreamy: Next, I created my reveal wheel. I do have the handy reveal wheel templates , but I chose to trace the marks onto my wheel with pencil for this card because I knew my stamps would extend beyond the template. If I just use small images or sentiments, those templates are the way to go! Once I stamped my images, I erased my pencil marks and colored the images with Copic markers . My inspiration for this card was what's on my mind ... my family, love and ... coffee! Ha! Truth! I used the following Lawn Fawn sets on this card:  science of love ( stamps / dies ), a bug deal ( stamps / dies ), holiday party anim...

Happy Autumn Scene!

Hi everyone!  I'm back today with another fall-themed card.  This scene takes place in a happy apple orchard filled with cute little critters.  The little bird at the top is next to the speech bubble with different sentiments revealed with the turn of the wheel.  These interactive cards are so much fun to make!  Here is how I created this one... Using two pieces of Bristol smooth cardstock, I ink blended the following distress oxide colors (top to bottom): abandoned coral , wild honey , mustard seed and crushed olive .  Water drops were splattered onto both backgrounds using a paintbrush.  Then, one of the ink blended backgrounds was cut using the reveal wheel die and the r eveal wheel speech bubble add-on .  Then both of the card stock backgrounds were cut using the stitched cloud backdrop die to create the stitched cloud background.  The reveal wheel "wheel" was ink blended using abandoned coral, wild honey and mustard seed inks. ...

What's for Dinner? Reveal Wheel

Happy Thursday crafty friends, Ashley D. here!   I’m back today with another fun food-themed card featuring some more great new products from the Lawn Fawn Spring 2019 release.   I’m so excited to finally have some fun little food images with the new Lawn Fawn Plan On It: Meal Planning !   I definitely see a bright future for these little guys in my creations to come.   Who doesn’t love to go out to eat on their birthday?   So, I decided to create a fun dining out card featuring a create-your-own-adventure type theme using the clever Lawn Fawn Reveal Wheel interactive die.   To begin, I created a simple ink-blended background by using Distress Oxide Tumbled Glass and Broken China on Bristol Smooth cardstock.   I cut it out using the Lawn Fawn Reveal Wheel Square Add-On with the Speech Bubble Reveal Wheel Add-On .   I also cut a second stitched square from the same die in plain white cardstock to act as a backer for the future assembl...
