Rainbow Shaker Card

Hello Friends Waleska Galindo, craftinglovew super happy to be back to share with you a new project using some of the products from the shop! I hope your Sunday is great and you have a little time to get crafty today! CARD DETAILS: To create this super fun shaker card I started with the background.  I used Oxide Inks and some blending brushes, I started with Kitsch Flamigo , Carved Pumkin , Mustard Seed , Mowed Lawn and Wilted Violet. I splashed some water drops and I also splashed Inkon3 Pixie Dus t for a little sparkle. I then cut 8  Pink Fresh Studio Color Block Rainbow Dies and adhere them together to create some dimention.  When adhering the last rainbow I added some acetate with glossy accents to create the shaker.  I then started filling all the arches with different colors of sequins.   I closed each one with the remain pieces of the diecut rainbow, I colored them with the same colors of sequins I used for the card base. I finally adhered th...

"Photo" Card

Hello!  I'm thrilled to join the Butterfly Reflections, Ink. design team this term and I look forward to sharing some fun projects with you.  The idea for this "photo" card was actually a collaboration with my 8-year-old son, who is my crafty side-kick!  I recently ordered the Lawn Fawn say cheese, again dies and some Lawn Fawn acetate from the Butterfly Reflections, Ink. shop .  I knew that I wanted to make a photo with a glossy surface, just like an actual polaroid picture.  My son had the idea to put the photo on a "bulletin board" ... we had a lot of fun brainstorming the best way to create it! I started the whole project by tracing the photo die shape on some marker-friendly paper and planning out my images within the frame.  The mouse is from Lawn Fawn's mice on ice  stamp set, his hat is from Lawn Fawn's holiday party animal  stamp set, and the berries and house are from Lawn Fawn's frosty fairy friends stamp set (I LOVE that s...

Happy Easter - A Little Early!

Hello, BRI crafty friends!  Kathy here to wish you an - almost - Happy Easter .  Yes, I know we are a couple months away from the Spring holiday, but I couldn't resist creating something bright and springy using this adorable stamp set and pattern papers. For my card, I used these pretty pattern papers from Reverse Confetti Under The Umbrella paper pad .  One of the Reverse Confetti Lacy Scallop Circles dies cut from Lawn Fawn cardstock is the backdrop for these too-darn-cute chicks (just love 'em!) from Lawn Fawn Chirpy Chirp Chirp stamp set . For my next project, I created a treat bag using Reverse Confetti Scalloped Bag & Tags Creator dies to cut a pattern from Reverse Confetti Under The Umbrella paper pad . I used one of the dies from the set to cut an opening in the front and adhered a piece of Hero Arts Acetate behind the opening.  Lastly, I added a couple more chick images from the Lawn Fawn Chirpy Chirp Chirp stamp set and tied the tag...

Are you ready for Spring?

Hello Everyone! Are you ready for Spring? Its been warm last week. We were all getting ready to say hi to Spring. Then winter decided to come back and it came back hard. We had lots of raining and snowing. I made this card to express how much I miss the spring. How's the weather where you live? I grabbed a piece of Tim Holtz Distress watercolor paper and wet the whole background with water. I used a flat brush and lightly applied Gansai Tambi watercolor paint in Aqua onto the whole background. Then I made some more concentrated paint to smudge onto the background using a piece of acetate paper. Splattered the same paint after air dry the background. I cut the background using Pretty Pink Posh Storybook 5 die . For the bigger window background cut out, I used Lawn Fawn Simple Stitched Hillside Border die to create a hill. I stamped the sentiment "Spring is Here" using Memento ink in Tuxedo Black . To create the shaker window, I first adhered a piece of ac...

Mermaid to be Awesome!!!

"You Mermaid to be Awesome" I love that sentiment and the lovely mermaids from the  Sunny Studio Stamps Magical Mermaids  . This card is very special because is for a #1 Mermaid fan... my sweet  daughter Leah! I hope you like it as much as she did... For this card I did a very cool technique I learned on Youtube. I started with a card base from Desert Storm cardstock, I cut it in 7.5 and 4.25 inches.  With a score board I score every half inch along the card horizontally, I flip the card over and start swiping  different browns of   Distress ink  along the card base... it is  amazing the look you get... It looks just like wood. I measure and die cut the  Circle Dies  starting from the middle circle and glue  Acetate  to the back of the circles to give the feel of a window. I stamped the three Sunny Studio  Magical Mermaids  and sea animals with the  Mini Misti  be...
