A Friends Parade

Hi folks, Norine here, with a fun critter card to share.  In the spirit of full disclosure, my original idea was different than the end result.  Some days that's just the way it goes and the sooner I accept that the card has different ideas from mine, the happier everyone will be! I stamped the four critters from two different Right at Home stamp sets, Deerest Friends and Friendly Fox , (and both sets are currently on sale in the store!) onto Strathmore Bristol Smooth cardstock, so that I could color with my Kuretake Zig brush markers, and the color would move and blend easily.   After stamping and coloring, I fussy cut each piece.  Next, I cut a 3 1/4" x 4 1/2" panel of cardstock, with the Die-Namics Pierced Rectangle die , and then sectioned it into sky and two layers of hills with the Lawn Fawn Stitched Snowdrifts die . I blended the color onto the hills (Mowed Lawn, Shabby Shutters and Pine Needles) and sky (Broken China and Faded Jean...

Rainbow Sunburst with Glitter Paste Overlay

Hi my friends!   Kari  here with you today.  Rainbow's are all the rage it seems lately. I know I am certainly falling for them, and why not...they are happy and cheerful!  Well, I have featured a few rainbow projects with you since being on the DT this term, and I have another card inspired by the online card classes most recent class Rainbow Maker.  And, what is so great is you can find these products I've used over at BRI shop! I started this card by creating my focal panel with a piece of Distress Watercolor Card stock.  I knew that I was going to have a lot of moisture, so I wanted to use a thicker card stock.  I used three Distress Oxide Colors ;  Picked Raspberry ,  Fossilized Amber , and  Salty Ocean .  I started in the middle of my card stock with a circular motion  and my ink blending tool with Picked Raspberry, then Fossilized Amber, and then Salty Ocean.  It looks as if I used more colors, but when inkin...

Striped Doodle Flowers

Happy, happy hump day! Hope you all are having a GREAT week! I made two cards this week using the same stamps; one monochromatic with Copics, the other soft and colorful with Zig Clean Color Markers. I stamped the watercolor background stamps on the main panel as well as the base card, the main panel is cut with MFT Blueprints and layered with fun foam. The monochromatic flowers were stamped with Jet Black ink, colored with Copics and layered onto a partial stitched circle from MFT.   On the Zig card, I embossed the images with white embossing powder and layered onto a partial white doily. The sentiments are from Right at Home, Script Sayings, I used the Misti to stamp the sentiments so I could stamp multiple times for a solid impression, particularly since the one actually stamps on the doily. Thanks for stopping by - don't forget to check out all the amazing items at Butterfly Reflections Ink - particularly that sale section  or the Stamp and ...

Masculine ampersand

:D I just loved using this ampersand symbol for a graphic masculine wedding card - it's a unique wedding, so I thought we'd stray a bit from the normal wedding card you might think about! The wedding is a self proclamation wedding; I had never heard of one until last week - see, you learn something new all the time! I stamped, 2nd generation, the  watercolor background stripes from Right at Home in MFT Grout Gray; then I added multiple ampersand signs in Steel Grey, Grout Gray, Berrylicious and Blu Raspberry . I stamped the "Celebrate" from Right at Home's Script Greetings in Steel Grey, then embossed the additional sentiment on Hawaiian Shores with Ranger white embossing powder . I felt it got a little lost, so I mounted it on a strip of MFT Black and White designer pape r and a small strip of white striped acetate. I finished the inside off with a 'Mr. & Mrs.', 'Congratulations' sentiment and carried that over to the envelo...

Little Panda says HELLO

Hi friends! Have you seen Butterfly Reflections new mood board ? WOW - such gorgeous colors and inspiration! I stamped this adorable Panda with flowers from Wild Rose Stamps  in black ink and colored with Tombow Markers; the large flowers ended up being a brighter orange than anticipated, so I added a layer of the Gainsai Tambi Starry pearl and it worked PERFECTLY to tone them down slightly! I added the MFT Sun Ray Stencil with two shades of peach. I want to mail this card so I kept it very flat and added a gorgeous hello sentiment from Right at Home . I added glossy accents to the yes and a drop of black enamel accents for the pupils.  Thanks for stopping by; hope you'll join in using our mood board this month! Hugs, WHAT'S IT TAKE? Stamps : Wild Rose  Panda with Flowers , Right at Home  Script Greetings  (ON SALE RIGHT NOW) Papers : Neenah 110 lb. white card base,  Copic  , MFT Limelight cardstock Ink :  Ran...

Find Joy in the Ordinary

Well hello everyone!!  Laurie  here!!!  I'm pretty happy that March is a long month, only because it gave me the opportunity to post here...I've missed you guys :) I've really been drawn to clean and simple card making lately and am learning how to embrace white space.  So let's get started! I started by stamping the largest flower image from the  Scandinavian Prints Stamp Set  with  Memento Tuxedo Black  Ink onto white cardstock.  I stamped the centres of the flowers onto a scrap of yellow cardstock, also using black ink.  I left the flowers white but to take away a bit of the starkness, I used a cool grey alcohol marker around the edges and blended it out with a colourless blender.  I used the  Co-ordinating Dies  to cut each image out.  For the leaves, I used the new  Medallion Flower Builder Dies .  I chose two of the leaves with the open centres and the three other small solid leaves.  These we...

Lacey Leafy Thank You Cards

Hello, there! It's Lynnea back with a few more cards using the  Lace Leaf  stamp set from Concord & 9th. I love how versatile this set is! Remember that you can pick it up in the  Butterfly Reflections, Ink Shop  when you're done here! Here's my first card. The leaves are finally falling and there's a chill in the air up here in NE Pennsylvania! This is one of my favorite times of year (second only to Christmastime!). I started this card by using the Lace Leaf  stamp set to stamp some orange/red ink and some yellow/orange ink to make an ombre leafy background at the top left and bottom right of my card. I embossed the leaf overlay with  Versamark  ink and some  gold embossing powder . I stamped the sentiment with  Memento Tuxedo Black  ink and that was it! I wanted to take this autumn stamp set and make it not-so-autumny. So I stamped the leaf image repeatedly with Versamark ink on some teal paper and embossed th...

Leafy Feather Card Set

Hello! It's Lynnea and I have another card set for you today using some of my favorite stamp sets pretty much everrrr!! Always remember to head over to the  shop  and pick up the things I've used today! I fell in love with the  Lace Leaf stamp set  from Concord & 9th the minute I saw it! As much as I love the big lacy leaf (you know...the centerpiece of the stamp set), I also love the little leaf stamp. I think it looks like a tiny feather! I wanted to make a whole set centered around this little leafy feather stamp! I used my Misti and stamped the little leaf image over and over with bunches of inks from my collection. Some of the cards I used first and second generation stamping and some of the cards I used two different shades of ink. After I had stamped my row of leaves I used  Versamark  ink to stamp sentiments from the  Script Greetings  stamp set from Right at Home. Oh how I love this set as well! I just love the gr...

So Very Blessed

Hello everyone!!   Laurie  back with you on another fabulous Monday..ok, maybe not fabulous.  Today I wanted to share some "new to me" goodies from Right At Home Stamps. The two sets I used pair perfectly together to create beautiful cards!!  The first set I used is the  Fall Leaves  set. This is a builder sort of set that lets you create leaves, flowers and acorns.  It is full of tiny images to help fill in spaces and give your project a "finished" effect.  The second set I used is Script Greetings .  With beautiful font and messages for almost every occasion, it's a must have!! Here's a look at what I've created!! I stamped the leaves and coloured them with alcohol markers before fussy cutting them out.  I arranged them on my card base and stamped some other images directly onto the base, surrounding my leaves.  Of course, I didn't plan on a sentiment, which I never do, so it ended up being placed vertically.  I tho...
