Happy summer card with Annemarijn

Hi crafty friends! Today I'm back on the blog with a summer themed card with some cute flamingos. They're my favorite animal since I was little so love everything with flamingos. Let me tell you how I made this card. For this card I used the sunburst backdrop  that I cut from some white cardstock  and ink blend it with distress oxide. I used squeezed lemonade for the inside and for the outside kitch flamingo . These colors are my favorites for summer backgrounds. Next I cut the magic iris tropical leaves add on  from white cardstock and ink blended it with lucky clover . I'm not a fan of the magic iris itself because I can't make it work, but I love this add on to use on a card.  Next I stamped two flamingo's, some leaves and flowers from the fabulous flamingo stampset from sunny studio and colored them with copic makers . Next I adhered everything with foam squares for some extra dimension. The sentiment I stamped on the green color from the watercolor wishes ra...

Enjoy Your Summer with Leontine

Hello! Today I'm on the Butterfly Reflections Ink blog again. I made a summer card with some cute stamps from Mama Elephant and I framed them with the Slim Film City dies. I mainly did copic coloring to fill the backgrounds, but I also used some colored cardstock and distress oxide inks to complete the colorful look. I was inspired by the thought of being able to go on holiday again. I’m sure most of us know that feeling. Until then this is my little getaway moment. I started using the Slim Film City dies on some Black Licorice cardstock and Mermaid cardstock . I made a white card base of 8” x 3 ¼” and cut a panel of smooth cardstock to fit the card base. Also I cut a panel of copic friendly paper, to fit behind the film piece. I adhered the film piece onto the copic friendly paper with liquid glue. I then started to color each frame with my Copic Sketch Markers. The colors I used were: B0000, B000, B00, B01, B63, B66, BG11, BG23, BG49, BG72, BG75, BG78, YR000, YR00, YR01, YR3...

You're the Zest! Featuring Studio Katia

Hey crafty friends! It's Jess and I'm excited to share this card featuring Citrus Trimmings from Studio Katia. When I saw this set, I just knew I had to have it. So, one order ( of way more than I intended to buy, as per usual ) from Butterfly Reflections Ink later, I was ready to start creating. I started off by stamping one of the large border stamps in Memento Tuxedo Black ink since I knew I'd be doing some Copic coloring. I colored up all of the adorable lemon and lime images and then fussy cut the whole thing. I grabbed some patterned cardstock from my stash and paired it with some plain black cardstock. I love how that strip of black gives a nice contrast between the light yellow and the citrus images. I layered everything up and adhered it so my card base. I snagged some cute green and white twine and positioned it on the top portion of the card. Then, I die cut one of the smaller circles from the My Favorite Things Inside Out Stitched Circle STAX an...

Make a splash

Hello everyone! Gladys here and I'm sharing this summer card with you today.   I used the adorable Beach Day stamp set from Neat and Tangled . It comes with three animals an elephant, rhino and a hippo dressed in their swim suits. I had a lot of fun coloring them with copic markers.    For my background I die cut the Horizontal Stripes Elle-ments by Avery Elle . I colored it with peacock feathers, cracked pistachio, twisted citron, squeezed lemonade and abandoned coral distress inks . I adhered the critters with foam tape for dimension. I also used glossy accent on the rhino's goggles and wink of stella on their swim suits. I hope you are enjoying your summer! Thanks for stopping by, till next time! HUGS!!!

Flamingo Pool Party

Hello Friends Waleska here with another Summer Card for you, I love the  Flamingo Floatie Stamp Set  from Neat and Tangled, in the minute I saw this cute girl I knew I needed to use it on a Pool Party Summer Card.   There are plenty of this sets at the shop  if you want to add this to your stash, for your Summer cards.... CARD DETAILS: I wanted to create a pool background for the girl to be floating, so I found this technique in youtube let me share it with you because in my opinion it makes a very cool water look. I started with a background fully colored with Distress Oxide Ink Peacock Feathers  (which is my new favorite) after that I used a crumpled ball of Aluminium Foil I sprayed with water and pat down the paper with it to add the water texture to the background, and dry it with a  Heat Tool .
