One of our favorite things to do in the summer is head over to the beach. We stayed in Siesta Key for the weekend and caught up with some family and friends that were in town visiting from NY. When Vanessa sent me the Good Day Sunshine Instasquares, this trip would be the perfect time to use them. I also used a few items from the I Heart Summer collection that Vanessa also has some of in her store.
Above is everything I used in the album from the butterflyreflectionsink store.
I used almost the entire pack of enamel dots. They added so much color and focus to each page. I like that it always made consistency all the way through the album.
Below, I stamped directly on my photo using Staz-on ink. It's a good way to "journal" or add a sentiment without taking up much room on the page.
This was a good opportunity to use more of the Chic Tag wood veneers.
I thought adding brads on the polka dot page below mimicked the circular pattern and also added some dimension (not to mention the Good Day brads are just plain fun)!
Instasquares don't just need to be used for pocket page scrapbooking. They also make a great embellishment on a regular layout.
I love to keep some pages in a mini simple. Below, I fussy cut around Reagan's torso and made it look like she was bouncing a beach ball.
I hope this album inspired you to create your own mini. Make sure to stop by Vanessa's store to check out all of her sunshine themed goodies. See you next week! --Nicole
