Hello, hello!
Samantha here! I'm so excited to share this super fun layout I made today, using lots of goodies from the Butterfly Reflections Ink shop! :)
First, I used lots of distress inks to create the watercolored rainbow on some plain white cardstock! That was enough fun, right there! SO love it!
I used a cute file and my Silhouette to layer the light grey woodgrain paper on top of that. I have to say, that woodgrain paper is a FAVORITE of mine, muy muy much! :) It's from the older My Mind's Eye Cut and Paste collection!
I layered the photo over a clear glycene bag and a doily (from the dollar store! ha!) and popped it up for dimension.
I used some of my favorite black Thickers and tiny alphas to create the title and then HAD to stitch them on, of course! :)
Some of the embellishments I used to color match along the rainbow include the AMAZING Pinkfresh Studio chevrons, Simple Stories I Am Collection faux brads and a flair from Create a Smile stamps!
I also used lots of enamel dots from various collections to color match, too!
And now I have this adorable, happy layout of my son's first year in school!!! The side by side of the 1st day and last day of school (last year) is just so adorable! And something that I'm definitely going to do, every year! I can't believe it's almost time to take the last day of 1st grade photo! It seems impossible!
I hope this layout made you smile, and that now you're thinking you need to go shopping and get your craft on! :)
Thanks again for stopping by!
