Good morning, Jessica here! I'm a huge fan of Lawn Fawn stamps and I was so excited to pick up the adorable Gleeful Gardens set from Butterfly Reflections Ink! I love the snail and thought he would make a cute belated birthday card!
I hope you enjoyed my card and thanks for visiting! See you next Wednesday! :)
I started off by cutting the frame with the My Favorite Things Inside and Out Diagonal Stitched Rectangle STAX from white cardstock and stamping the sentiment with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. Then I cut the clouds from the WPlus9 Sunshine Layers die with the leftover white cardstock. I also stamped the flowers, grass, snail, and present with the same leftover piece of cardstock (yay for not wasting paper!) using Memento Tuxedo Black ink so that I could color them with copic markers. After I colored the images I went over the clouds, flowers, snail shell, and present with a ton of clear wink of stella glitter. You can see how much the snail sparkles! I also added googly eyes to the snail for a little more dimension.
I took a little bit of Lawn Fawn twine and loosely tied it around the snail and around the present so that it would look like the snail was dragging the present to the intended recipient. I used a few drops of Multi-Medium Matte to get the twine to stick to the snail and present so I set that aside to dry while I assembled the rest of the card. I cut several layers of grass from different green cardstock using the Lawn Fawn Grassy Borders die and used foam mounting tape and regular adhesive to arrange the grass inside the frame. I tucked the flowers and grass clumps in between the layers of grass and then adhered the grass to the blue cardstock sky. Finally I used foam mounting tape to add the snail and present to the top of the frame and added a few pearls that I colored with copic markers to match the flower centers. It's not as obvious in the photos but I love how using foam mounting tape to alter the dimension of the card really makes certain elements 'pop' off the card. I hope you enjoyed my card and thanks for visiting! See you next Wednesday! :)
This is so cute!
